Yeah, I've been doing very well with him after going pure AP and move speed.

I've had plenty of success with Tank Sion, I dunno what you're on about. Atma's Impaler goes well with all that HP you stack, he can do a good bit of damage that way.

I've been messing around with various items. Seems that he benefits alot from movespeed, AP, and cooldown reduction. Attack speed isn't shabby either, but not worth building for IMO.


<3 that weapon that increases base damage by 100% following a cast.

Tank Sion could be good at not dying, but AP Sion is alright at not dying and pretty decent at killing.

I'm not sure if you want a Sheen on him, but I don't play Sion. Agro, after a while if you want to use Sheen it would work out better to upgrade it to a Lichbane which adds 100% of your AP to your next attack. I use it on Nidalee and get awesome damage.

Wish I had the points to try out the Armordillo.....he just looks cool!


Sion has a biomechanical skin.....I want it BAD. Sadly, I think you have to pay money for it....oh well.

Agro - buy the collector's pack at best buy or something, I think it goes for 19.99$. You get 15-20 champs + a unique skin + a couple thousand RP points that you can use to buy stuff like skins. I know that one of the best appeals for this game is that it is free to play, but the collector's pack is worth buying. It will enhance your gaming experience exponentially.

I may ask for it as a stocking stuffer.

HoN is a way better game, if your looking for something that is actually competitive, with more heroes, and is much closer to DOTA.

For those of you saying that LoL was made by the creators of DOTA, are only partly right. Guinsoo was involved in LoL, but Icefrog was not. If you guys know anything about DOTA, it was Icefrog who made it what it is today. including most of the balancing, heroes, cleaning up the map in general, and many other things. Icefrog is the reason DOTA jumped in popularity, and became it's own genere. Guinsoo played a part in DOTA, but make no mistake, that Icefrog was the real mind behind the game.

No offense Sasori, and I really dont give a damn about your hating on league of legends, but I have played HoN and it is garbage in my opinion. I am sure it appeals to some people, but all of my friends and I prefer LoL, it is simply a better game in our eyes.

Hi there, thats because Icefrog is working on the retail release for DOTA 2. LoL is FAR more entertaining, fast paced, and involves more metagame than DOTA ever had the capacity too. As someone that has literally played DOTA since its first incarnation on Bnet, I feel that LoL is the fast paced, tactical, semi-rpgish game that DOTA aspired too....only without the cheesedick gak like the stupid treant.

It isnt that HoN itself is garbage, it is just that LoL is superior to it. The gameplay, the synergy, team play, champions, etc etc etc, and most importantly, the support from the producer is above and beyond every other game I have ever played. This is what makes League of Legends not only superior to HoN, but superior to many other games that have been released by many other companies.

HoN imo, is just too much of a carbon-copy of DotA. Sure, you get some new heroes, but what else is new? Graphics? Meh, I could care less. I'm not saying HoN is garbage, too, but when you live in a country where you will find,at any given time of the day, at least one group of at least five people playing HoN or DotA in a internet cafe, it gets repetitive and at times, even boring. I have yet to play LoL, but from what I've read, I see that it is, in itself, a game on its own; possibly a welcome break from the never-ending spiral of DoTA-and-its-carbon-copies back here at home. (The rampancy of DotA in my country is very thread-worthy, trust me. I may just post one about it later.)

Wait for IceFrog's DotA 2, sure win, I hope.

Really, so How is it a game, where there is no real balance, and no esport potential, unlike hon, has superior gameplay.

I think the gamplay is easier, since HoN has a much steeper learning curve than LoL. HoN gets regular patches including new heroes, and content, quite frequently. The entire staff is active on the forums, and consistenly interacts with the community. I don't know how much more supportive you can get with a game.

I'm not saying LoL is garbage, it's just that HoN is superior in every way to it. The game play, the synergy, team play, heroes, and of course the balance. Is is what makes HoN Superior to LoL and Superior to a lot of games that be been released by many other companies.

The bottom line is, you get what you pay for. And that's the truth with LoL.

It's not my fault that League of legends has glaring flaws at it's core, that prevent it from becoming a truly balanced, and competitive game.

I don't have to convince myself of how amazing HoN is, the game and Eports does that already.

However, you sure do seem to be trying hard to convince yourself that LoL is an amazing game.

Don't be mad that League of legends is inferior to HoN.

It's free after all. Who can fault a free game from falling, even if it hits Rock bottom like LoL, so short of a game that you have pay for.


Perhaps if you don't want to hear other peoples opinions on a subject, you should make a thread titled: "League of legends only positive things, and about how great this terrible game is" or not post on a forum at all.

I counted 62 Champions in LoL unless they haven't updated their site. I don't know where the 130 number came from, I'll take a look if you provide a link.

As far as imbalance goes

The fact is the changing variables(Summoner System) and other things, while allowing a lot more customization, and more fun for some players, it does mess with the balance.

By Stats, I mean things like the Player lifetime statistics, I'm not talking about health and what not. I apologize if I didn't elaborate well enough on that point.

I admit I've thrown a jabs at LoL, if you think KingKodo has not done so to HoN as well, then you need to reread his posts.

The fact of the matter is, I am allowed to express my opinion of the subject, and I've done so and not attacked any forum members. If you choose to regard this as "Trolling", so be it.

You didn't even answer the questions I asked, which I posed in a polite manner.

If I'm wrong about something, such as the hero count, then please inform me, instead of making a pointless post.

You have to admit that your posts would come across a bit as trolling, but I agree with parts of what you said.

LoL has been unbalanced for a while, that thread you linked has some obvious problems (Xin I'll explain in a bit) and some of the summoner spells are indeed extremely annoying (IE flash).

The stat system is sort of there, it doesn't really go into much detail. There's wins, loses and games you left. Then a separate one for ranked matches. It has it's obvious flaws at times (I come across so many glitches) but it comes down to you get what you pay for.

As for the Xin problem, yes he is OP but he explains briefly the current meta (for those wondering it's AoE spam basically). It currently leaves Xin as useless in any decent game. There is also another problem he failed to mention which is the difference some characters will have depending on the map you are playing on (another example of the lack of balance in a game).

Some characters like Tryndamere will be very very OP in 3v3 matches, but very weak and useless in the 5v5 map or vice versa. Some of the changes introduced through patches for characters also kind of break the game. For example try playing against a decent Teemo after his last buff. In 5s you'll pretty much beat him down, in 3s mushrooms take up half of the map and you will never catch anyone in that lane.


As for the almost constant glitches I come across, it's actually pretty funny. Yesterday Anivia blocked a small passage with an ice wall meant to stop me from catching them, some how I walked right through it (I was far enough away not to be touching it when it was made). Another time I've been knocked into a wall and got stuck there. There was even the fun Karthus glitch for a little while (He revived in his ghost form and was invincible for the rest of the game). The point is that even with all this crap to put up with I still play it because I find it fun. It's not about which is better (we'll know the answer when DoTA 2 comes out) but whichever one you find to be more enjoyable.

The only imbalance I run into is a completely smurfed player that farms noobs until they have so much money that their stats are boosted beyond ridiculous. I don't consider that a game issue....just more WAAC crud.

Yi is on sale for 450 now. Tempted to get him, although after being on the recieving end of a really good Warwik I kinda want to play the puppy.

If you're talking IP, Yi is always 450. Get him.

Got raped on Alistar all day, but he's fun anyway. He's one HELL of a pusher.

Sion is a great all around character with the AP build, and probably the most self sufficient.

Sivir is brutal, no two ways about it. Once you have enough money you become a dps machine.

Trying Tristana now, she seems pretty cool. More control moves than Sivier and more timing for damage required.
