The trick with most guides is that you cannot follow them exactly and expect it to work out perfectly as they are written to suit the play style of the creator. Therefore you must use them as a guideline and restructure it to suit your own style or it will probably not work. The guides written by Condon there are actually pretty funny and mostly useful. Stuff like the guide, the MFing Cho'gath, like most comedy it is better experienced rather than explained or described.
Condon, MFing Cho'gath Guide wrote:
"But Condon! Where is the AP? Where does the sweet deeps come from?!?!?!" you may be asking in a couple paragraphs.
To the first: Don't be a woman. There is no room for fancy sticks and jewlery when you are the MFing Cho'Gath.
To the second: The Cho'Gath, much like the Chuck Norris, kills through sheer bed-wetting terror. He doesn't need to go out of his way to murder people.
Or the guide based on his writing by Rydog, Twitch - AKA John Rambo the Rage-Inducing Steamloller.

A: Go back to Driving Miss Daisy. Big crits mean big mother****ing crossbow bolts of death, and the ability to basically ignore creeps and make cheddar off of your items and your psychotic rampages is a nice one. The dual Avarice Blades let you get big and mean before everybody else.
Big mother****ing crossbow bolts being a key point in the guide.
Yeah I liked the MF'ing Cho'Gath guide... Tried to follow it, didn't quite work. I think I need a biiit more experience before I can make them 'wet themselves in terror' at my coming... (that and I think that guide was written before Cho'Gath got nerfed, or so I've heard)
LOL, anyway I really like ability-heavy champions (tried warwick for fun during a practice game, all abilities on cooldown constantly ), but as I'm used to tanking (at the moment), it would probably not be great if I used someone that died really easily (like Veigar, though I love him) Anti-gank powers are always a plus
You know what's frustrating? Playing a team game that requires coordination to win, against an evenly matched enemy, and NOBODY ****ING LISTENS TO YOU! That wouldn't even be an issue if SOMEONE would ****ing take charge and make a plan, rather than running around alone like headless chickens, asking to get jumped and killed. A potential victory thus becomes an irretrievable loss due to the utter stupidity of others.
The above is what I posted on Facebook, but in the context of this thread it becomes much more clear exactly what I mean. The sad part is, my teammates weren't even bad players, as far as general fighting ability... But they were completely and utterly slowed at coordinating! I told them so many ****ing times from mid to late game "ok guys, we need to coordinate and push a lane" "we need to stick together and move in packs" "this (random encounter team battles all across the map) will just keep going back and forth, we need to pick a lane and push it!" Finally we were overwhelmed when the enemy killed half our team roaming wild and pushed up the already weakened mid. We could have won that game if those idiots would just talk to each other and stick to a plan, stop running around like idiots and push a goddamn lane... But no, now I have yet another loss tacked on to my record due to rampant stupidity.

I stopped playing PUG games after I got a team that only spoke Thai, no co-ordination at all from them either.
As for Warwick, give him smite and try to jungle, he is awesome at it. On the 3v3 map he should be going back to base at roughly level 6 or 7.
Start with cloth armour, 2 health pots and 2 mana pots. He can solo the dragon at level 8, but make sure smite and all abilities are up and you are over 50% hp.
The entire team should be at least 2-3 levels above the enemy for most of the game, with the exception of their solo. Also it is best to wait for the enemy minion waves to pass to remain completely out of sight of the enemy. A smart team mate would say something like "dam ww is afk, we'll play until surrender".
A smart enemy will see through this, a normal would get facerolled later provided you stay hidden properly and they don't try to hunt for you.
A friend has been trying to get me out of being virtually exclusivly support for a bit now, trying to get me to become good at Galio; who is actually quite fun. Once an Amumu tried to 1v1 me. I put up the shield, then gust then smited him before auto attacking. He stayed in the fight for a bit, but tried to run because he was on low health. Shield, gust then ult. Amumu stands there hitting me for a bit then dies.
For the rest of the game he ran from me which saved me from a 2v1 with Mundo, and got me a kill on Mundo who tried the same.
This rotation has Gangplank... It's like the guys at Riot are picking their rotations to include at least one enemy I hate intensely every week. I swear one of these weeks the rotation is going to be Teemo, Ryze, Nasus, Twitch, Gangplank, Anivia, Kog'Maw, Zilean, Shaco. You can't possibly imagine the RAGE.
I love stuns, and geenerally anything that will help get the gank. I really love my ability-heavy support tanks (Alistar was my first, could you tell? )
Lux is awesome as a support caster, but it turns out I suck with her... Shame too, she's literally the Shoop Da Whoop postergirl for League of Legends due to her alt. Seriously. She fires a giant laser.
This is her official unofficial theme song:
(if you want to skip to the heavy part go to 1:58, but you shouldn't skip in music because it's against the spirit of listening...)
I got Lux, tried to main her when she just came out. It's too bad that she sucks so much. It's not a matter of skill, but more of just not so great character design. Sure the shield is useful, but one it's a skill shot and two it usually blocks about half of one hit. Around 300-400 AP she blocks about 300ish damage so the ratios are pretty bad.
I was pretty disappointed to find out that her peak level is 6.
As Nidalee I literally laughed off the damage when we were both level 8 and turned into a Cougar ensuring that she never tried to kill me again.
As for good supports, Janna and Sona. Janna's ult isn't so great, but with a decent AP build it can be a pretty hand AOE heal rather than for the push then slow. Her shield is aweome, at level 5 it gives as much extra damage as a BF sword. As for Sona, give her a good AP build. She will be able to nuke pretty hard and heal pretty decently with the extra movement speed and a quick stun from her ult which works really well with some other ults.

Anyway the new rotation is awesome.
Another reason why I like HoN better. If you want to smurf you have to pay to reset your stats or buy another account. Which means it happens a heel of a lot less than in DotA or LoL. Plus HoN feels more twich/action packed than LoL, to me anyways. Its much closer to the true DotA experience. Plus their community support is awsome just like for their past games.

Fail.

I'm actually not a smurf it's just that I played DoTA, and my friend plays a smurf that he created for the people who joined like me and another person. Anyway, I will be temporarily (perhaps permanently) retiring from LoL, as I just got Starcraft 2
Just an update if you all didn't know, LoL won the Golden Joystick Award for best online game, and they gave everyone who voted a bonus rune page just like they promised! Now I finally have the 3 pages I need: Physical DPS, Tank, and Spellcaster. Any minor adjustments can easily be made pregame after picking my character...
Well this thread encouraged me to give it a go and now I really like league of legends.
Having a minor problem at the moment. I prefer ranged characters (so far I'm best with Tristana) so I've just bought Annie, but I don't seem to be doing so well with here. I'd heard she was a good champion so I guess I'm doing something wrong. I am finding that I don't do enough damage to stop other players killing me. Unfortunately my spell seem to take a very long time to cast. Does anyone have any tips for playing annie?
Check some guides man, they're pure gold for 'lernin2champ'. Leaguecraft.com is the best for people who aren't Summoner Level 3o, and I always go there to learn how to use a champ.
Generally most casters are fixed up by increasing Ability Power, Cooldown Reduction and Mana Regeneration. Then it differs depending on the champ itself.
An important skill to learn with any ranged champ is kiting. Simply attack then back off a bit, staying in range to always hit them but out of their range to stop them from hitting you. Usually you see if you can get them back to the tower. It's not always a good idea to try it though.
Another skill is realising that you're actually not invincible while hiding behind your tower. A smart player will know when to tower dive and teach you a lesson for being so naive. So many times has a squishy like a Lux hidden on 1/4 hp behind a tower only to see my Nidalee's spear come out of a nearby bush, hitting them directly (at it's max range) and followed by me telling my friends "SNIPER!".
Also Annie's passive is pretty fun, but don't waste the stun on the flamethrower. I've seen it work really well when used with Tibbers (There is a small blast of fire around him when he shows up, this stuns them).
To add to MasterDRD's suggestion also look up videos of that champ in action to add to what you learn from the guides.
Thanks for the advice. I have got better with annie but also tried Veigar (spelling may be wrong) and so far I find he fits the way I play a lot better.
Annie is one of the best casters in the game. This is primarily because her passive ensures that you have a stun ready almost all the time. Other characters (like taric) have an ability that is solely for the stun. She also has three heavy damage nukes, one of which is her ult that summons the bear that puts out good consistant damage and can tank towers long enough for a few characters to destroy it. she is a solid solo char as well because she can easily get last hits with her fireball while spending no mana to cast it. She fulfills solo/pusher/nuker/aoe nuker roles better than most characters fulfill any one of those roles.
On a side note - Aura Taric is the #1 support character in the game. He combines great team buffs with one of the best heals and stuns in the game. He also can debuff a ton of armor in team fights, while having a single yet strong aoe nuke. He is one of my mains. Build him with light AP/cd reduction and stack aura items and you are almost guaranteed a win in pug games. Get a spirit visage if you find the enemy targetting you alot, and you will easily pop team mates for 350+ heals and yourself for ~450.
I have twitch(w00t), Evelyn(woot), Pantheon, Sion, Tryndamere, Ashe,Kassadin, The gun chick, and teemo. I think...
SO far a great game, play it when not doing models(mom house), or when wow is not working(dads house)
I like this game alot, sometimes fustrating when you wipe out 2/3 of em, then the 3rd one survives and you die, ending your spree, All because your teamate was "jungling"
I play Twitch thesedays because I just got him. Best is 45-8-0 on treeline ^_^. SO ya, I like it.
Jungling is SO much money, and to any peopel playing twitch go crit rating rather then atk speed phail!
Don't due boredome its a mass murderer! 1500 points, Astral serpents
starting now! Kabbal of Shattered Sorrows, with wyches from the cult of the bloodied shadow, Hamonculi from the Coven of the Third pain, and Hellions from the Arterial haunters.
I just got introduced to this game this weekend. I had trouble downloading it while I watched my buddies play. I was able to get it installed and tried the tutorial. I'm going to try a real game this week.
