Anyways, Green Bay is 5-0 and Aaron Rodgers is God.
Edit: Carolina might be losing, but I think Cam Newton is playing like a top 10 QB right now. Lots of yards, 12 total touchdowns to 6 turnovers.
Aside from his 4 pick game, Brady has been brilliant as usual. Vick is a turnover machine. Roethlisberger has a big game today, but aside from that he has been pretty poor. Been sacked 15 times already, what the hell is up with their O-Line? Already has 10 turnovers this year as well...

Michigan Wolverines: 6-0, 1st in Big Ten - Legends
Not only are the NFL teams for both states undefeated(and the only undefeated teams left in the NFL right now), but the big college teams for both states are also undefeated. Brewers and Tigers are in the second set of games on the road to the World Series as well, something is up Michigan and Wisconsin this year. But it seems too good to be true so I'm expecting Canada to invade both Wisconsin and Michigan.
Also, Atlanta just showed everyone how to loose a lead.
The Packers are a good second half team and they managed to make really good offensive plays despite not having two starting tackles.

so the Packers have been 5-0 7 times now to open a season, they won the Championship in 6 of those, we are in the 7th
Me and my Dad are gonna go to the Superbowl if the Pack make it this year. We were gonna go last year but it would have been way too expensive by the time I brought it up. I'm 32 and never been to a sporting event with my father, I think a SB would be insane. Plus we have friends in Indy.

Exactly. I was never worried about the game today. They've been down in the past and they always recuperate and come back stronger in the second half. McCarthy makes good in game adjustments.
I wasn't too worried either, but then again the Packers lost against the Falcons in both season games, managing to win in the postseason. For a second there I was worried that the Falcons would become to Rodgers like the Cowboys were to Favre.
But Rodgers also tied Favre for most different targets in one game with shooting the ball to twelve different players.
While setting the record for least interception thrown on his way to his first 100 TDs and became the second QB to break a career 100.0 rating with over 1500 attempts.

I think I warned you about that in an earlier thread. Honestly, I thought it was insulting to the rest of the league to assume an OL coach could slide into a DC job without missing a beat. The OCs he's facing have done their jobs for years and years at the highest level. There's no way Castillo could NOT be at a disadvantage, even if he's generally a bright guy.
Think you cheeseheads need to dial it back a half-notch with Rodgers. He's a terrific QB, but frankly I still put Brady and (a healthy) P. Manning ahead of him. Maybe Brees too.
Re: the Steelers' o-line, the problem was/is injuries for like the third season in a row. They haven't been able to protect #7 or run the ball, which is a recipe for a bad offense. They were missing a few starters yesterday but managed to get it done. Hopefully that starts a trend. I wouldn't count the Steelers out...they almost won the SB last year with 4 backups on the OL. Getting James Harrison back healthy is key, as is the health of Polamalu.
Gorgon... actually....after analyzing the tapes and going over things that Philadelphia has done wrong this season, I have come to an interesting conclusion......
The Major problem in the Philly Defense is the coaching staff. Not Andy Reid, though he is culpable, and Marty or Juan, though there is some accountability there as well.
Players look confused, and unenthusiastic, they sometimes look like peewee leaguers when trying to tackle.
But the pattern that comes out has to do with a fundemental change to one part of the def.... the "wide Nine"...
This formation requires that the linebackers play closer to the line to fill the gaps that are left between the linemen.
It does not blend well with zone coverages.
The answer is to get the coaches on the same page.... but It sometimes seems like they don't even have the same book.

Did you know that when the Packers went to visit the White House, Charles Woodson forgot his pass and he was turned away. Kind of bull seeing as though its kind of easy to see that it is Charles Woodosn, then Obama got a share of the Packers and said that Rodgers should be transferred to Chicago and then his press secretary had to amend it by saying that the president didn't think the Bears were bad and that Rodgers would only be a back up quarterback.
But two bogus calls against the Packers last night, Unsportsmanlike conduct on the Packers when the Offense was taking the field after an interception and another call for having too many in the huddle when Rodgers wasn't even in the huddle yet. One of the Falcons decided to try to tackle Finley and lead with his head, the guy staggered off the field because Finley is big, punk deserved it though, shouldn't lead a tackle by ramming your helmeted head into a guy.

All I will say now, is my stance has fully shifted to 'Play Tebow' we might have lost, but damn that was far more entertaining to watch when he was on the field compared to Orton.
If only that last throw had come off, dang, but now I can see why folks have been raving about him. (Not being able to see the College game over here an all.)

Brady maybe, Manning no, Brees hell no.
Do you no realize that Rodgers has 122 QB rating through 5 games?
Since the win over Minnesota on 10/24/2010, Rodgers has thrown 39 touchdown passes to 6 interceptions in 16 games. In 13/16 of those games he has had a QB rating over 100.

this was the funniest thing I had seen in a while. When the guy trying to hurt someone gets hurt you can't help but LOL. He must have really messed himself up too, he was falling all over the place for the rest of the game.
and to Gorgon, why is it then that Rodgers is the best QB right now? He is playing better than any other QB out there, period. And last night he did it missing half his starting line.

Manning and Brees have done it for more than a couple seasons...hence they rank higher. And the last few seasons, there's been no QB who's carried his team more than Manning. Not even Brady...they won with Cassell the year he was hurt. You see what's happened to the Colts without Manning this year.

Aaron took the most injured team to the Super Bowl in his third starting season. This may be a credit to a deep roster for GB, but it more falls in his hands. Everyone on the team including coaches is in awe of him. He is also the must humble person in the NFL. Give him the number of years Brady has had and it will look like a joke. Tom is a great QB, Aaron is just on his own level. Plus Aaron has around a billion people praying he stays healthy, and they pray to almost every God on Earth, where as Brady has about that many praying he gets injured, badly.
Funny I was just talking about that same thing.... from another angle.
Philadelphia hired Howard Mudd to run the O-line this year. Mudd's last job was with the Colts. It looks like he is trying to use the same scheme in Philly that he created in Indy. And we all see how that is working for anyone who is NOT P. Manning.

Brees has been a starter for 9 years. In that time he has only 2 100+ seasons. Only 3 seasons where he posted better than 2 TD to Interceptions. He's thrown over 15 interceptions 6 times.
Rodgers has 2 100+ seasons in 3 years as a starter. He has had better than 2 TDs to Interception in every season and averages nearly 3 TD passes to 1 Interception for his career. He has never thrown more than 13 interceptions in a season.
Manning is a great quarterback and statistically is arguably the best to ever play the position. His first 3 years as a starter? 85 TDs to 58 Ints. Next 3 years? 82 TDs to 52 Ints. Failed to break a 100+ QB rating until his 7th season as a starter. In recent years, he throws too many interceptions.
Tom Brady didn't break a 100 QB rating until his 7th year as a starter, which was also the first (of only two times) that he threw over 30 TDs in a season. Rodgers did that by his second year in his starter. Brady has had 2 amazing years and 7 good ones. He's wildly overrated.
Rodgers is playing better than any other QB in the league RIGHT NOW. He has a skilled a passer as anyone, if not flat out better, and has superior mobility to pretty much everyone not named Vick.
wow, I was wondering what was happening, Rams were marching hard and fast. Then we hold them in the red zone, push them back, and they miss a field goal

Statistically the two best ever are Brady and Manning. Which is better depends on which stats you prioritize.
Rodgers has had a great couple of years (so far), but Brees has had about the same number of great games/seasons. The same argument you use for dismissing Brees is the the one which means Rodgers doesn't (yet) compare to Manning or Brady. He hasn't done this over any long period. If he keeps it up at this pace, sure, he might turn out to be the greatest QB, statistically. But historically the vast majority of guys can't keep generating those kind of numbers.

amazing playing from Mr Rodgers, they called him "The Magic Man"
funny how easily players are forgotten, GB had a Magic Man before, Don Makowski
and Aaron has the best TD to IT ratio, and was tied with Brady for TDs, so I'd say that makes him the best playing right now. plus he will have over 400 yards this game and probably 5 TDs

I actually like Cutler, I think he is a good quarterback, and a bit underrated.
Its just..the Bears O-Line is the worst in the league, and you saw in that game against the Lions (that the played awesome in) that he had no protection whatsoever.

Sad Bear is sad D;
but this is something you should be used to right? Don't all Bears fans dream of Walter Payton and Brian Piccolo waking up in cold sweats?
Pack 6-0
Detroit loses!
eagles finally win
hopefully Brady plays terrible and Rodgers can take his place as the best playing

Just because Rodgers wins today, and the Patriots lose (doubt it) doesn't mean he is better than Brady. Brady IS the best quarterback in the league right now, and has been for quite a while.

not really
he maybe has/had the most yards, but Rodgers is better in the scramble, insane outside of the pocket, has more TDs and less interceptions than Tom. AAron is playing better than Tom every game. Aaron will be NFL MVP, Packers MVP and Super Bowl MVP this year, Brady will be in a lot of pain and wondering what happened. Tom is on his way downward, yes it from a great place, so it will take a while. Aaron on the other hand is just getting started, and is on FIRE. Anyone who says otherwise is obviously a hater. Even all the FOX sports guys were drooling all over Aaron, and claiming Brady was meh ATM.
