Brady's 3 best seasons
4806 yards 50 TDs 8 ints 117.2 rating 98 ryds 2 tds
3900 yards 36 TDs 4 ints 111.0 rating 30 ryds 1 td
4398 yards 28 TDs 13 ints 96.2 rating 44 ryds 1 td
totals
13104 yards 114 TDs 25 ints 172 ryds 4 tds

Rodgers's only 3 seasons as a starter
4434 yards 30 TDs 7 ints 103.2 rating 316 ryds 5 tds
3922 yards 28 TDs 11 ints 101.2 rating 356 ryds 4 tds
4038 yards 28 TDs 13 ints 93.8 rating 207 ryds 4 tds

12394 yards 86 TDs 31 ints 879 ryds 13 tds

Brady has never had back to back 100+ rating seasons. Until 2007 he never had a season better than Rodgers's first as a starter. He has never had and will never have Rodgers's mobility.

In 2009 Rodgers had a better year.
In 2010 Brady had a better year.
In 2011 Rodgers is having a better year.

Statistically Manning is the greatest regular season QB of all time. He's had the best season ever - 2004 and is the only QB to put up 3 straight 100 rating seasons and had 7 straight years with a 95+ rating. Over the last two years though, Rodgers has played as well as him, if not better.

Edit: Rivers also has 3 straight 100 rating seasons. He's a top 5 QB, but fumbles too much and doesn't win big games.

Right now

#1 Aaron Rodgers
#2 Tom Brady
#3 Peyton Manning
#4 Drew Brees

No one else is anywhere near those 4 and saying Brees, who has 30 interceptions over his last 22 games is anywhere near Rodgers's level of skill is asinine. He is a turnover machine. He's had 4 years with as many interceptions as games played. Rodgers has a career 132 total TDs to 46 turnovers. 3 to 1 ratio. Brees has 255 to 166, less than 1.5 to 1 ratio. Over the last three years he has 59 turnovers to Rodgers's 39.
With only 4 more total touchdowns in that time frame.

Can't really count Manning in that as he is technically not active this year.

Eagles got the win they needed.... Bye week so no way to lose next Sunday....

Drew plays more like Brett

Aaron plays like a Boss

I would love to see Pack V Pats, once our secondary figure life out and start playing again

Excellent comparison, but I'd be tempted to say that Brees is better than Favre. Unlike Favre, Brees put together a spectacular postseason performance in the Saints SB win. I'd say Peyton Manning is the most like Favre. Both put up big regular season numbers (put Favre in an up tempo pass heavy offense with at least 8 games a year in a dome and he'd eclipse anything Manning's ever done) and folded spectacularly in the playoffs. Peyton's lone Superbowl win was a postseason where he had a 70 QB rating and only 81.8 in the SB. Rodgers and Brees were both well over 100 in their SB winning postseasons.

Rodgers has proven he is an elite QB. Until he starts throwing 20 picks a year, or committing tons of turnovers you can not claim otherwise.

On a side note I hope Palmer has a good rest of the year in Oakland.

So.. who is a starting QB this week?

Grossman.... sit down.
NcNabb.... you too.
Palmer.... grab your helmet.
Tebow.... Yeah, get dressed.

7-0 is coming

wow Seattle Browns was all D, and quite boring
Super Tim to the rescue

overall nothing too exciting in the early games, I hope Aaron throws for 400+ seeing as the Viqueens have no secondary now

the crowd seems to be about 80% Packers fans too

In your base, ignoring your logic.

I saw a clip from the Buccaneers/Bears game and when I heard them singing God Save the Queen I was wondering what was up, turns out they were playing somewhere in the U.K. You think they would have sent better teams to represent the sport.

Well the best team in the NFC North, and 2nd best overall in the NFC last year (The Chicago Bears) was there.

Along with a Team that was 10-6 (The Tampa Bay Bucs) who only failed to get into the playoffs because a 7-9 team (the Seattle Seahawks) won the NFC west division (a 10-6 team should never be left back from the playoffs because a 7-9 team won their division.)

So I would say they have two good teams representing the NFL. (Remember they make the schedules before preseason).

and they played at Wembley stadium in London.

I think we are going to see some teams at the Super Bowl we haven't seen there for some time, which is a good thing.

Also, the Colts are now 0-7.

well I understand scheduling takes place before a season but

the first part of that is wrong, they won the division by not being the best team as funny as that seems. GB stats are way better than Bears last year, hell any year.

[sarcasm]Yea that is why the Bears won the division, because they were a worse team than the packers...[/sarcasm]

They had more wins than green bay last year. That stat (The only one that matters) says they were a better team than the packers last year.

In 2009 and 2007 the packers were a better team than the bears, but not in 2008 or 2010.

So GB does not have better stats than the bears last year or even "any year" in some years the packers are a better team, some years the bears are better.

I hope it's the Colts because I hate them, but I sort of don't.

I want to see them go 0-16.

I don't want them to get the #1 Draft Pick.

The Colts have a rough schedule ahead, but may have Manning back after their Bye.
Miami has a couple potential wins coming in the next few weeks, Particularly KC and Oakland.
Rams haven't played any Divisional games yet and have Cleveland and Cincy coming up as well.

Hmm. Assuming Manning makes it back, the Fins would appear to have the worst QB situation. So I'll say they win the derby and finally get their replacement for Marino.

That's weird, you think they would send the Patriots over there seeing as they're New England's team. Same with one of the New York teams, they have a York over there, but this is New York so they could relate to it a bit. New England Patriots and New York Jets are the two teams I would always send over there.

They had an European NFL for about 5-6 years, there is some hold over for "American Style Football". Unfortunately the UK team was as bad as this years Colts.

They've been doing that for a few years now. Different teams each time.

The fact that it was the Bucs and Bears was just their luck of the draw.

I wonder if the crowd at these games are Americans in England missing football or curious UK folks?

Hey guys.

Although I'm not au fait with the NFL, I love watching it over here and am a regular viewer of channel 4's broadcasts. I do, however, have a question for all you NFL fans.

WTF is this conspiracy theory "suck for luck"? From what I can gather, a few people are saying that some teams are playing badly so they can finish in the bottom half. Now, is this because this will put them in the running to get young Mr.Luck in the next draft? If so, well that's kinda bad sportsmanship, no?

Yes, but sportsmanship goes out the window when the money gets as big as it gets for the NFL. It's a business, and you do what you can within the rules to succeed. Some SB-winning coaches even cheat. The NHL and NBA have draft lotteries to avoid that situation.

"suck for luck"? Its a conspiracy theory and nothing more.

Most of the players at the Pro level want to win. They need to win.

It is something that consumes your thoughts. It is something that will make you crazy thinking about how to improve and beat the team you have to play next, especially if that team is doing really well this season.

I played football in college and it was super competitive. I can not imagine that would go away just because you are drafted into the pro's.
