@ Schank: Yeah...they look really good and if I ever go soft and do a marine Army....i may have to make them BC. Problem is they take so long. Anyway, glad you like them..............................ORK!

Yea I can see why they take so long. That pattern has to be a pain in the arse to make the line look straight......Wait a minute a Brazen Klawz army.... ORKs dont care about straight lines.. Problem solved I win.

Bah! A challenge. Now I have another project to work on. Ship out monkeys ork, which I'll do tomorrow. Finish whales marine. And now 'Da Brazen Klawz. I'll have to do up a test model for it. But I will need some help. Art what are the exact colors you used painting your Brazen Claws? I would like to get them as close as your color scheme as possible.

It doesnt matter how good you can paint. As far as I can tell all are welcome to play. Besides my orks dont care what they kill looks like as long as it puts up a good fight. Toss a line out there and see if you get a bite. I might help to post a pick or some fluff of what you are working on.

OH-I Wanna get out of here

Look like your on the right track AC. I am unfortunately closed for the winter for new trades (no way to prime anything).

Just to make sure I've got all of them in some form of progress, lemme run through em in no particular order. I kinda do them as I get the bug up my bum, but I'll try to get those of you who are speedy ****s done first. Figure if I get one a week done I'll be set to go.

Graven: SD. All but done (gotta do the chapter logo)
Lenny: SD. Purple done
Art: Ork. Green skin. Idea well under way
Schank: Ork. Primed. Have a good idea of what I'm doing.
Hemmingway: Mentor (always fun to try something new I guess) Primed and planned.
Git: DA. Robes started
Vent: DA. Robes started
Arakasi: Ork. Looted Dread. Painting started. It'll take awhile to do this one.

Hey Whale, yeah go for the battle damaged look, I personally don't do enough work on my battle damage so it'll be helpful to have a physical example to inspire me. Besides the way I see it he's going to be in the middle of the thickest fighting so a few dings and scratches are too be expected, lol.

Cheers again, oh and for the base just leave it as he'll be coming off that base and going on to a resin one.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone started making shoulder pads for "Da Deffwatch"? Why should the ORKs be left out

Alright. Well as you all know Art can paint a killer looking Brazen Claw space marine. I just happened to bring up 'Da Brazen Klaws and then Art issued a challenge. Well no really but thats how my version goes. I was digging threw my orks to see what would work as a good test model....... Found nothing. But then I went threw what little orc models I had...... Hurray for Black Orcs! This is what I came up with so far for the armor. I got the arm and head picked out just have to do alot of converting on the arms so all you get is the body. More will come later. This should tide you over for a bit Art...... well at least I hope. Oh yea I used Arts recipe for the color scheme. thanks Art.

I love all the Marine themed orks, rather ironic most came to life because of the MARINE swap.

Actually Schank's boy I'm making is going to be Tau themed.

i have a bunch of orc models since my parents brought up my old warhammer army which im trading and kitbashing now. I could repaint some and trade them out, hopefully i can cut them off the square bases!

Thinking on my last statement. instead of a whole army or even a 'Ard boyz squad.....i might go with a NOBZ squad and give them all PKs.....then they would truly be Brazen Klaws!

Yep, I used a Black Orc Model. The arms are from the black orc spur also just cut the fist of the left arm and added a power klaw and cut the ax off the right arm and added a shoota. Fairly easy to do. Just a bit of cutting and shaping on the arms. But I like it.
