SOME sort of robot would be cool.

My wish would be for a Terminator, or...

a Predator.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I don't think that would work, at the moment I see this jumping if there is a big advantage in jumping up from biohazard. There seems to be a lot of people on the edge.

It worked REALLY well with Zombicide, so I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar here.

I like some of these Homage Characters but I'd like to see something new and unexpected to really drive the fundraising up ...

Like 3D plastic tiles, more room and corridor cardstock tiles or, ideally (for me) modelled escape pods ...

(but, logistically, we might be a little late in the campaign to introduce something like that and let it generate it's full explosion of funding)

3D tiles would be amazing! I could imagine them doing something like that as an expansion though I agree that it is a little late in the campaign to add something like that.

I'd love to see them make those scenic bases available, too. Maybe in sets of 10 of each size? I'd use them with so many other miniatures !!

Try checking the studio mcvey website, I own a ton of their bases. Quality is good, but costs are too high. Even Mike has told me in the past the prices of the bases are high but it's th elowest he can charge. Check them out, but I would not recommend them for 40k as they seem less they seem almost imperceptibly smaller than the normal GW round base.

Given the success of this campaign, I suspect we'll see the expansion announced sooner rather than later!

Expansion shouldn't be too hard to do, anyways. We know it'll include Firebrand (which they already have) and probably some addtional tiles, etc. I won't lie; the ability to get some of those exo-suits in plastic gives me a nerd boner.

As much as I think a predator would be cool, I don't really think it fits in any way. I'm not a huge Star Trek tNG fan, but I think using Data as the android addition could be decent; that is, if androids exist in this particular universe.

I can't figure out what would be a good stretch goal to really get everyone going though...

It will undoubtedly be a 'homage' character figure though - but who?!?

I'll second my own wishful thinking about a Kerrigan (StarCraft, not Olympics) model. As a) I think the Strain Hexen model looked awesome, and you can never have enough well done cool monster ladies, and b) huge following.

Also, it's a character that is on the one hand extreme enough in design that it can be captured in a mini fairly easily, but similar enough to the strain aesthetic that it's plausibly fitting into the game.

Characters like Data, say, or figures from Star Wars I don't really see, as the aesthetic of those properties doesn't (in my mind) really lend itself to what we have.

'Course, any and all such things are just sauce, the meal we have already is amazing.

Think of both Kerrigan's in the clear Opti-camo form! Would have to get multiple of those for sure.

Yeah, Kerrigan would work extremely well since she has both a human and a mutated gribbly alien form in Starcraft.

She'd fit right in.

Oy... the combat capable crew of the serenity....

That may be one add on I simply will not be able to avoid, especially if my GF sees that they are offered.

Kerrigan would make the most sense, and I'd love that. Perfectly popular and recognizable Human and Infested forms too.

I can't think of a more fitting character aside from maybe Doomguy. Doomguy would also be a hilarious inclusion as an alternate Barker Zosa.

Kerrigan would be a nice addition, but I would prefair the Doom guy if I had to choose. Both would be a sweet option too

Does "Doom Guy" even have a name or a personality though?

I mean, we know he likes Nine Inch Nails, maybe, but other than that?

Isn't he "the Marine/Space Marine" or something similay super-generic?

I'm inclined against him if only because when I think of Doom, I think first person mode, not what the guy looked like. Actually, I'm not totally sure my mental image isn't Duke Nukem...

The Doom Marine would be awesome..

Otherwise, what about one of these guys?

The awesome little robot dudes from 'Silent Running'

Otherwise, a couple of other ideas:
- Captain Kirk
- Doctor Who
- 'Macready' (Kurt Russell's character) from 'The Thing' (armed in winter gear, and flamethrower of course!) - I mean come on, the 'Strain' are basically the 'Thing' anyway!
- Randy Roddy Piper from 'They Live' (complete with special sunglasses)

While he may have been randy, you're managing to conflate "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who passed away last year, and Rowdy Roddy Piper.
