Holding one of those figures in my hand was an amazing experience. 2-d photographs to NOT do your talents justice. Thanks for being so generous with your models, it was truly inspiring.

with the rave reviews I am sorry that I wasn't able to make it. Congrats on the award though, 2nd best painted army at adepticon is quite a feat, something you should really be proud of.

Please say you're doing Horus himself?

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Well, I am setting them just before the battle of Terra, so there wont really be any left to do...is Aximund alive at the battle of terra?

Atm I am going to be running Horus as counts as Abaddon, 1 terminator lord for abaddon, 3 terminators, 2 10 man squads with lascannon/plas, 1 5 man havoc squad with ML and a 10 man raptor squad, and a pre-heresy land raider. I'll also have 2 10 man squads of demons if i have the points.

The fluffs seems to be they repainted it again after Istvan IV.

Since through collected visions after Istvan they have dark grey armor, not green.

And in Nemesis it's described at 'Cold Steel Grey'.

Atm I am considering chardon granite.

The Granite is way dark. "Cold Steel Grey" says it should be slightly lighter than that. What about an Adeptus Battlegrey / Granite Mix?

Aximund is still alive.
But he is being watched by Abbaddon. And you can't forget about the other captains.
Anyway sounds awesome. I've always wanted to make a Luna Wolves army, recently i accomplished that.

Sadly there's no real way to include that many captains in an army with 35 infantry models

Great paint job. I have a noob question for you. are you black lining every thig or just base coating in black and then leaving a line of it showing?

Back when I painted that model, I was undercoating black and then leaving the black showing.

However now when I painted my Blood Ravens (Yes, i am painting some again! Expect the finished Sternguard squad in a week or so!) I dont blackline at all, except for the bone helmets. Now I paint a browny shade colour into the recesses.
