A good silent compressor can be expensive, but it will last for a life time if treated nicely. (I got a silair for 250 euro)
the brush itself is not to expensive... around 60-100 euro

but still I'm curious what you can come up with...
I'm not yet trying airbrushing on mini's.

Agreed. Most of us do this cause WE like doing it, Not for ego, Honestly you have made me a better painter because of it, That is a true measure of talent.

I love my painting, hope to get better and will, nothing anyone can say will change that. I'm thankful for all the inspiration I get from the Dakka community.

Homebrew craftworld. The colour scheme is basically black with blew wiggly lines painted everywhere, sort of like a Night Lords colour scheme.

I have to admit conversion hasnt appealed to me recently.

Construction of models is something I find incredibly boring, and just a time waster until I begin painting. (for me, I love looking at other people's conversions).

I used to enjoy it when I started my Blood Ravens, but with my Blood Angels I was happy to keep almost everything stock.

I think this comes down again to my recent trent to want to build 'armies' not cool single models. Maybe my feelings will change again in future, who knows.

Oh and someone else asked about war machine. I didnt like the rule system at all, so sold off all my khador stuff a while ago except for what I already had painted, and am considering selling off the paingted stuff too

They do look good, but come on...you could'ent come up with your own chapter? Or gone with a straight GW chapter?

That's pretty harsh Cortez. I appreciate that you aren't a fan of the Blood Ravens, but insulting the guy for painting an army he has put a bazillion hours into and really likes isn't cool.

@Roleplayer: I was planning on sleeping tonight until I saw your blog, went through all 46 pages in one blast. Downright amazing work. As a fan of the Blood Ravens(mostly because they may or may not be Thousand sons) I salute you!l

As I already said, no insult intended to the person's models, I just hate B.R. Pay a little closer attention to my posts, then come back.

I totally give credit to his paint and modeling job. They are fiorst class, without a doubt. I wish i had the time to commit to my own collection (which if you want to push, will be "up" sometime this week)

Hey well I dont like the Ultrasmurfs chapter, I dont like how GW uses them as a "Poster Boy" Chapter and that they are on the majority of all the SM. Box sets. I will tell an fellow player that I personaly dont like the chapter that they play but thier painting is great and kinda makes up for me not liking them. I think that you could have worded yourself differently to save people from miss judging you. Although I wouldnt insault them or tell them to "man up" just becuase they play a chapter that GW has in a video game. Blood Ravens are a GW chapter, they just made a game with them in it.

Every chapter has its origins in some GW designers heads. I'm pretty sure the Howling Griffons life began as an army some guy in the evy metal studio painted up, everyone liked and got written into the fluff.

The Blood Ravens have not only been featured in both of the most recentl space marine codicies, as well as mentioned in the Blood Angels codex, they are also alluded to in the Horus Heresy book, 'A Thousand Sons'.



I don't agree with your standpoint that a video game story is not as relevant as a story told in a codex, nor any less official. And obiovusly Games Workshop feels they are a true part of the story, writing them into their universe in the most elaborate of ways.

Tho the reason I chose them was because their color scheme really appealed to me, and i later learned their history, and also found that cool.

While I am currently painting Blood Angels, my Blood ravens will always be my favourite force I own, and I intend to go back and work on them more as soon as adetpicon is over.

I agree that we should just move on. Everybody is entitled to an opinion, and by dwelling upon this we take away from what this blog is really about, some awesome minis.

I just really don't believe that GW would allow the stormraven to be used by any SM. The idea is that you like the money, so you'll have to collect the army... this is mainly shock...slight leg pulling involved...
