Eh realized I might just wait and get the rule book off ebay, I have decent sized purchases I should already be making for my Guard and Sisters and I've been considering getting in to Infinity, $120 that doesn't further any of those three goals is a significant detour.

Do to the fact that I host my local group’s games I will be probably picking up 2+ of them for four reasons.
1] The Little Rule Books so my big book will live longer.
2] To Expand my Dark Angels Army.
3] To finally start my Chaos Army.
4] With Pre-Measuring I will be cutting the red whip ticks into 6” and 12” Sections to speed up things.

I suspect from translating the Chinese version. The name on that is indeed Hellbeast, and in theory you could work out unit names from the Chinese (as I recall they did have 'personal' names) but given how much sounds change going into Chinese it'd be a tough call. Mind you, not sure where the metal flesh bit comes from. I would check the Chinese lists but... I've forgotten where they are in this wide internet.

-Edit: ah, found it. Yeah, the leader of the Chosen squad is called something like Draznich. If the stats are right the 'Hellbeast' has exactly the same stats as a Chaos Dread, and it's amusingly got the name 'Death Metal'. Certainly fits with the 'back to the good old jokey days' vibe GW's been rocking recently.

You may want to check the lengths on those sticks, as they are not to scale. The 1" marks are not 1", they are shorter. On the total length of the stick, IIRC you lose about 1/4"

Sounds awesome! Really excited for this

I don't exactly play Chaos, and only have an army of them because I keep my Uncle's for him (he never uses them elsewhere). However, these Cultists sound like they'll look awesome and the Hellwotsit sounds pretty cool. Maybe the new Codex will pique my interest and encourage me to play some games with them.

Any news on the release date/month yet?

With a living and coherent pilot, this might be how GW intends to "fix" the Chaos Dread....

I'm thinking of it more as a super-terminator, than a dreadnaught-lite. The 2+ save and probably high toughness and multiple wounds for being large will be much better than a dreadnaught with even lower armor values than a dreadnaught.

More like a Chaos Marine version of Ghazghkull on a dread base i would guess

More interested in the possible Necromunda uses for the Chaos Cultists than anything else in the box.

Contradictory to some opinions, it is not a only MEQ set.
There are 20 chaos cultists involved. Hopefully they are cheaper than gaurdsman and equavilent in melee.

The rumor was guard stats except for having only a 6+ save at 4pts a model... Auto guns or auto pistols and close combat weapons.... 1 in 10 may have flamer or heavy stubber...

Trying to decide if I should use cultists as actual cultists or another vet/platoon squad in my renegade guard. probably the codex csm rules because codex ig doesn't let you have pistol/cc weapon :(
