That is some very, very reasonable decision in my opinion. I am not saying that anyone who is making nude scene and have no problem with it is wrong, of course, but seriously, everyone will react differently to that, and if you are not comfortable with it, saying no rather than feeling pressured into it is a really good decision. Especially since AFAIK, most if not all of those scenes are quite unnecessary. You could do about the same with hiding the nudity, and I have no problem believing people that say they are really pandering to male gaze, even though I never watched more than the very first episode.
I hope she is not sacked in any way for her decision.

We are on the same page, however its not so much the rape denial as the implication that the producers have not received the message as to what rape is. On both sides of the Atlantic there have recently been costly advertising campaigns targeted particularly at young men teaching that going beyond a 'no' is rape.
For obviously educated men to have not got the point is worriting to women, because if veteran TV producers dont know that ignoring a 'no' is rape, then who else has not got the message.

Emilia Clarke was mentioned in the link, but I dont buy that so much. As the slavers would say, the Westerosi bitch has already flashed her tits.
I think its most likely to be Lena Headey, she has not done nude work before AFAIK, was not exposed in the rape scene and has at least one nude scene forthcoming

; but that scene can be covered indirectly.

For me, it seemed pretty clear he had died. Also some bad guy took his helm, and later Lem from Lady Stoneheart's bandits took the helm again, IIRC.

It's likely Emilia who's said no more nude scenes. She'd had enough of it in season one as she gave one interview and mentioned off hand, "I'd rather be known for my acting abilities..."

Plus, she's apparently been a little freaked out by some of the "fan mail" and comments levied at her during cons from rabid fanboys.
Imagine sitting as part of a Q&A panel and realising that half the room of socially awkward neckbeards are there mentally undressing you & drooling, while asking if there's any more "awesome Dany scenes" in the future.

First off, good find on that article about the Game of Thrones star who refuses to do any more nudity. While you're back in May 2013, please give us a heads up about the impending Navy Yard shooting, and - I realize this might be tough - see if you can get a message to Kathleen Sebelius that she might want to do a little load testing on Healthcare.gov before they go live. Maybe, you know, give it an extra look.



Anyway, the actress in question was clearly neither Emilia Clarke (who in fact did subsequent nudity that very season) or Lena Headey, who A.) in fact has done nudity in a significant percentage of her roles and is unlikely to be squeamish now, B.) Has done zero nudity on the show to date, so she can't "be tired" of it, and C.) filed for bankruptcy in the recent past and is in absolutely no position to make demands on the franchise that's keeping her out of crappy B movies like The Purge sequels.

In fact, the actress in question is most likely to have been Esme Bianco, a.k.a Roz The Exposition Whore.



She was known to be frustrated with the fact that she was nude for a great deal of her time on the show, and often to little actual purpose.

What the actual gak was that? Do I have to go back and reread the book, or are they just making stuff up now.

I think this is a case of knowing where things are going. Almost the entire second half of the episode never happened in the books so that's my only assumption. They need to lay things out for watchers.

If I remember right (and i might not, it's been years) Littlefinger never admits to anyone his role in the death of Joffrey and the queen of thorns doesn't either. And they definitely bumped Tommen's age even since the show started, what him being a young teenager now instead of Rickons age.
