Shepard's trial? I clearly missed something what's that all about?

Arrival DLC and the conversation you have with Hackett at the end. The article in the link says that Shepard is on trial for deserting the Alliance (not really his call ) and his actions in the arrival DLC.
I haven't got Arrival yet so that explains my confusion.

Illusive Man's eyes have been confirmed as some kind of Reaper tech via his comic run I believe.
Also if you remember the discussions in ME2, Cerberus is so fractured, the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing So it is quite believable that some members of Cerberus would not even know what the Lazarus Project was.
Shepard is just the person who killed their buddies in ME1.

I still sort of raged when I got forced to work with Cerberus. "Rogue elements" or not, their track record was abominable. Thresher Maws getting sicced on Alliance marines? Experiments on colonists using Thorian creepers, Husks and rachni? What they did to Admiral Kahoku? Inexcusable, regardless of Cerberus' intentions. Plus, besides being amoral and dangerous they were completely incompetent. Every single experiment or operation Cerberus undertook crashed and burned in the most spectacular way imaginable.
And then in Mass Effect 2, we saw more of their barbarism. Jack's treatment from start to finish was nightmarish and inhumane. Operation Overlord wasn't just a failure, it was inhumane and idiotic in the extreme. Abusing an autistic man and hooking him up to a hive mind composed of billions of synthetic minds must have been dreamed up by a lunatic - autistic people have problems communicating with a single human being. Add in billions of babbling voices, and it's an autistic person's nightmare.
I'll be relishing a chance for Shepard to pay TIM back for some of the atrocities the "rogue elements" of his organization caused throughout the series.

Reapers, ideas about their connection, etc.
Spoiler:
Hmm...well that is more for my idea about him being involved with the reapers. He could be indoctrinated. I mean the galaxy is being attacked by the reapers and Cerberus is out to get shepard. It doesn't seem like a good time to be holding grudges when humanity is at stake...unless they are connected to the reapers. We already dislike Cerberus, so if they are part of the reaper's plan then we have a good reason to hate them

Do. Buy.
Aside from being an awesome grand finale for ME2
Spoiler:
Who -doesn't- want to Death Star an entire system!?
It also lets you finally meet Hackett face to face (One of my favorite characters in ME1, he had some great dialogue), and you get to talk directly to Harbinger, and tell him off
I think I'll get Arrival a month or two before ME3 comes out, then blitzkrieg through the entire game to get my memory refreshed (and have a new save to import)
Also @ Hawkward I feel the same way man, I didn't like that we had no choice in ME2 we had to work for Cerberus, but I am looking forward to blowing them up in ME3!

Sir Pseudonymous wrote:I assume "playable to some extent" was just an awkward way of saying "potential squadmate", as opposed to a cameo role like Wrex or Ash/Kaidan in ME2. Sadly, I couldn't make out the writing, and the scans are so ridiculously huge I can't see more than the preview thumbnail on my terrible internet connection.
I always killed off Kaidan instead of Ashley, since Kaidan was the single most useless and uninteresting character in ME (a role that was sadly repeated in ME2 with Jakob), and Ashley could at least throw down a good bit of DPS while remaining largely invulnerable, even on Insanity.
I think it might mean they may be available for just one mission (Like Liara in the Shadow Broker DLC).
well, I'm changing topics ('cause you don't want to ruin the game with spoilers, now do ya?), Who here did not like the shape of asari's heads? sure, the idea is sexy, but I found that their heads were very bulbous in #1, not so much in #2, but still a little bobble-head like.
FYI: the release date is December 31st 2011!

Why bioware, most likely it will be snowing so I might not even get mine on time and I'll be celebrating new year, don't make men choose between New year and video games

I didn't even think of that. To me it was just really late, but I can't think of any New Year's Eve that I spent playing videos games and not drinking.

I've heard November for release. That seems far more likely, as they're going to make the biggest sales if they release during the Christmas Shopping season. December 31st would be a huge mistake, as they'd have far fewer people lining up for it on account of New Years eve.

I do know you guys are all like "woa! DECEMBER 31st?"
But I asked my local Video game store, and that's what they said. And also I live in Prince George, Canada, so it may be different in other places.

I take it that store is in pretty tight with Bioware huh?
Sorry, but that's like saying that Necrons are coming out in May because a Redshirt told you so. Just from common sense alone I can tell you he's lying. Aside from most everyone being broke from Christmas shopping, kids are going to be playing the two or more games they got for christmas, rather than buying anything new 6 days later. Add to that that maybe half the number of people are going to line up the day before New Years eve for a new release, as opposed to a release 2 weeks later/earlier. Bioware isn't stupid, but it seems the folks at your local game store are. Then again, you're in Prince George, so they're probably smoking coco-puffs on their lunchbreak (On a side note, Canada/Mexico/USA are all under NA release, so being in BC/Canada won't change the release date)
Another reason it won't be December 31st? Because the 31st is a Saturday. ME3 is probably going to follow release schedules and come out on a Tuesday. That would be the 27th prior to the 31st, or 3 Jan post. And that's even less likely because 27th is just -after- boxing day, and the third most people are still hurting in the cashmoney dept. I would think it's obvious that they're going to try and put it out during shopping season. A) It's #1 on several "Most anticipated game of 2011" lists, so people are going to want to be wrapping it up for the holiday, and B) There're several other titles in other genres being slotted for the end of the year shopping season. October/November is probably going to become one of the biggest cash-in periods for the industry in several years. Bioware is going to want a chunk of that action.

oh... Now I feel like a fool. You got a good point. I'll go check my facts. But either way, it's coming out in 2011 and it's going to be most likely bad ass(possible 5-19% chance of being bad).
Cheers, W.G.Thraka

I thought we wanted to offend the believers... Hence all the offending that's going on. Can't you feel the offending? I know I can!
I think that there would be a few ways to really improve the loot system. They had great great idea, that didn't always work to well and could get very frustrating. If they had a stacking system for identical items of the same level (ie V with V and IX with IX) it would simplify things. If you could drop stacks of items at a time it would improve even more. It would be even better if you could bring up a list of squad members who can recieve the upgrades, ammo types etc. and then just check off the names of members you want to equip it to. Best of all would be if you could take an itme in your iventory and select 'Please don't give me any more of this ammmo type/armour/weapon/upgrade' To recieve more of the item again you could visit your "Blacklist" and remove items from it, with higher level items at the top of the list. Also if the game would automatically equip higher level vesions of current equipment (with higher level squad members or most used ones getting priority over others) and automatically drop all non-equiped items that are 4 levels beneath your current equipment (which could obviously be disabled) I think the system would be even better. I don't know if these ideas are possible, but they would certainly help make the game more accesible and easier to manage. If the game could remove the ability to skip cinematics and conversations (I find this really annoying as people miss out on a lot of the story etc) and have a shorter start of gmae sequence (I am so bored of Normandy getting blown up/ project Lazarus destroyed it is not funny) I would give the game a near-perfect score, even if it was just ME2 with new story.
In ME3?
I want a LOT Reapers to kill....
And some great cut scene with some big space battle... ...
News said that the game will not be available until first 3 months 2012 so we have time to speculate and to wait for news...
I liked the idea of customizing your own riffle and different design of levels ( love the idea of using bayonet ).
And I would like to have much more areas to emplore, much more planets and to finnaly met Rachni, Geth and others...
But I trust in all our wishes, that BioWare will not disappoint us...
