Ah, yes, good catch.

But you can't hide Hammerhand in a unit right? Which is why I'm not so excited about the DK having it (Well, his movement is better than a standard Dread). I just like the idea of hiding it in a unit.

Insta death to any non-Nurgle Daemon Prince...in the game

Why non-Nurgle? Nurgle Prince isn't a psyker or a Daemon? It's still a force weapon in addition to having a high strength, so will instant death everything in the game, regardless of toughness, as long as the target is a psyker or a Daemon. If the target isn't a psyker or a Daemon, T5 or less targets of all kinds still suffer instant death.

I don't believe it's a Force Weapon...or maybe I'm confused. I thought it was a normal TH----with Str. 10 and the ability to ignore EW on Psys/Daemons. If so, that means you need double toughness to ID---which means Nurgle Princes are still safe being T6 (and guess I was wrong about Meph too).

Well, my information is that all of the close combat weapons are Nemesis weapons. Nemesis Force Weapons, Nemesis Force Halberds, Nemesis Doomfists, etc. Currently I have no doubt that they all retain their 'Nemesis' status (force weapons) while having other additional rules.

Would've been fun if the standard Nemesis Force Weapon 'perk' of +1 to invulnerable saves applied to all Nemesis weapons as standard. DK's would have a 3+ invulnerable save in close combat then. Before you say that would've been overpowered, the alternative is the classic Warhammer 'hand weapon and shield' problem meaning that you lose a real bonus when you upgrade your weapon to something else like the Halberd for quite a few points, making the so called upgrade overcosted and largely ignored. I'm not saying that's the case here because I haven't seen the book. Just speculating.

Ahh, well if it still retains it's "Force Weapon" status while being a TH...then yeah that item freaking rocks then. Hide it inside a Paladin unit and it will still handle/doom;

Bloodcrushers
Daemon Princes of any flavor
Meph

S10 would be nice against TWC and the like...but still a damn good item.

Why Paladins? The guy on Warseer said:

all nemesis weapons have daemonbane which basically ignores eternal warrior for daemons and psykers

That means that Dreadknights with personal teleporters, Nemesis Doomfists and dual Heavy Incinerators are quite the close combat monsters, swinging their S10 fists and dealing instant death to pretty much everything in the game except Wolf Lords with Bear and a couple of non-psyker non-daemon special characters.

Oh, no doubt a DK is still good...hell I'll be running 3 with scouting hopefully.

The reason I like the idea of hiding it inside a unit is;

Paladins will be scoring in my army, which means they'll need to be dealt with.
It will be a uniquely allocated unit to maximize their 2 wound potential, hence why not take it as a differentiation.
It scares many units away that might normally try to deal with the unit

As has been mentioned, if you cast Hammerhand, you gain one extra Strength, which then gets doubled to S10. All non-vehicle Grey Knights can cast Hammerhand.

Well, no, according to the 40k rulebook you multiply THEN add. So S4, doubled plus one for hammerhand would be. 4*2=8. 8+1=9 Final Strength: 9
pg 7, BRB

Right, I'm assuming it will follow those conventions (such as Furious Charge making Nobz Str. 9 PK, etc). Guess it depends on the wording, good thing the codex is always clear on such matters

Aye, but unless they've changed it in the final version, the rules for Hammerhand state you add before you multiply, and codex overrules the BRB. They even specifically mention the Daemonhammer.

That's a good piece of info to know...then yes, death to all the T5 baddies running around out there, including anything Daemonic.

GW alluded to GK today in the Whats New Today post.

At the bottom, he mentions there were too many daemons for the IG or SM, but that "If you have a Daemon problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can enlist..." and the message ends, courtesy of the Inquisition. Seems like an obvious prelude to a GK announcement.

In today's 'What's new Today?':

Actually, there's quite a lot of Daemons in today's post, let's hope there's not some kind of infestation about to occur, there's nothing worse than Daemons appearing all over the place. Come to think of it, I had noticed the nasty tang of ozone in the air and little arcs of lightning sparking off all the electrical equipment. Quick, call in the Imperial Guard, call in the Space Marines. No, wait, even they can't handle this many daemons! If you have a Daemon problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can enlist...

+++Communication terminated, pending investigation by the Inquisition+++

Hmm, I wonder what's tomorrow? Maybe Grey Knights? :p

Would Abaddon be at risk due to the Mark Of Tzeentch, or does that not make him a Psyker? (I'll admit it, I didn't buy the latest version of C: SM!)

No, I think he's safe, the mark only confers an invulnerable save.

Admissions like that make Tzeentch cry.

If the same set of Terminators has bitz for customizing as "regular" or "paladin" hopefully the Black Box does contain two sets so stores can build one squad of each version for display. When the all plastic Demolisher kit was about to be released Black Boxes had two in them so stores could build more than one version. I hope the prices aren't too scary in US dollars for all this Grey Kniggit goodness.

Why would anyone be hesitant to believe? GW formally announced that Grey Knights were the April release many weeks ago. Did people think GW was going to interrupt their cash flow for a whole month by not having a major release in April as some kind of joke? That is not even slightly plausible. This thread has almost as many debunked myths and fallacies in it now as a full season of Mythbusters.
