The photos weren't my fault. The shop manager decided that as not many people had come to the shop, he would take photos on his phone and let people vote on farcebook.

Here's a question for you all... have any of you ever come across anyone that has painted an entire figure so that it looks like a gem? Or more likely, seen anyone that has painted a gen stone that isn't a simple shape like the eldar gems?

The reason I ask is that my idiot brain wants me to paint up some Grey knight terminators as if they were big emerald statues for the Oz diorama... I hate my brain sometimes* :/

I'd forgotten about that sphynx, though he's possibly more Jade stone than emerald. I was thinking something along the lines of the gemstone in it's tail. The figurine is a great reference point though, thanks!

The Forgeworld photos really don't do the model justice, it's really really nice to paint as there's so much definition in the muscles (in a good way, not a GW Minotaur way)

I'm not overly convinced the osl on the eye and the brain implant are working very well though. Any ideas how to fix it?
Looking at the eye a bit more, I'm thinking there's probably too much light above the eye and that it should probably be more shaded in that area.. not sure though.

Oh and there are three brands on the dog. There's the inquisitorial sign on his left shoulder, the number on his right flank and an eagle on his left flank... though you can't really see the eagle all that easily
