Bannon Ultas of the Angels of Truth. A Techmarine who also served in the Deathwatch, who the Angels have close ties to. Fell in the battle of Ragallun XIII. Ran into a wrecked Land Raider and brought the weapons systems back online to cover a strategic retreat. When the position was eventually retaken, his broken body was found with his hand still on the firing panel. Interred in a Dreadnought, he continues to watch over his brothers and his armored shell serves to memorialize his varied service record.

Great work on the dread, I especially like the weathering effects. I like the splash of techmarine red to tie into his backstory.

The Leviathan looks great. I like the weathering, of course, but the edge highlights are also quite nice-- I never seem to be able to pull that effect off, so seeing it done well delights me.

While I should be working on Gwenom, I started this up. Turns out I had one more Zoat (two more, if you count the 3rd party Blood Bowl one waiting for paint) to do. Been kicking this guy around the brain-pan for quite a while. Guess it is time.



Metal models and converting. A pairing for the ages. Pretty happy with how the gun is working out. Has parts from the original model, an old bio-titan gun and a venom cannon. The original plan was for him to have a shuriken cannon, but when I was gathering parts from the bitz box, this happened instead. In my mind, this guy is an independent bounty hunter with loose ties to the rest of the Zoats and my Craftworld. Because why not fluff.

Anybody else remember Sectaurs? Just me? Alright. Anyway, used a mold to cast new wings for Parafly, since they were notoriously fragile and had broken off the one I bought on a strange whim. Also cast a ghost blade, since I could. Prince Dargon of the Shining Realm is ready for action. And by action, I mean warming a space on the shelf.

Very nice, indeed. I like the hint of vertical pupils in the eyes, and the pointillist tongue is super creepy.

Sculpting is done on the Zoat. Glad I decided to go for plenty of extra armor. Should make him stand out even more from the herd, as will his color, since he won't be green.

Zoat has been primed. Looking forward to finally realizing this one. Been "on the drawing board" for too long.

Also wrapped up the second mini I liberated from Warhammer club. Unlike the Marine, this guy will be staying here. Been picking away at him slowly for a while. Inquisitor Corum Mirrko of the Ordo Hereticus. He pals around with the rest of my Imperials.







At some point he will need a retinue. Some of those Combat Arena minis should do nicely.
