I will hate it so much more if they used that thing for one of the few plastic kits the `Nids will get.

It's better off being plastic, as that makes it:

A). Easy to mod.
B). It'll be more than one model.

In other words, if that kit is 2 or even 3 types of Tyranid, players who want all three will have to buy multiples of the same kit. It's a good business decision if you ask me.

I'd bet on it being metal like the zoan. It looks too fiddly to be plastic.

If that thing is metal then I'm really glad I wasn't planning to add to my Tyranids this time around.

some interesting rumours from Warseer

-gargoyle : flying/rending/6points

-genestealers 2 brand of : the elite with a 4+ sv and the troop one with the generic save (5+ ? can't remenber). Infiltrate/fleet but don't know if all can do it or if you need to buy an upgrade or a special character.

-tyrant bodyguard can be taken separately

-an apocalypse sized creature is in the codex, it enter in play with a deep strike (in fact an underground strike) with the large template strengh 8 and ap : low (3 maybe, but was something sick) and can make a "buckload" of firing !

-Multiple carnifex can be bought with only one slot.

-warrior got something new but can't remember (i think it was +1hp)

-I heard something about a model shooting 20 times but was speaking with a girl a this point, so i can't say if it's was a weapon or multiple weapon on the same model.

-one eyes, red terror and friends are back in the codex.

Thanks to Mr. bobix for this.

A shooty Trygon, now I have heard rumours about it all!
I hope that the rules aren't changed too dramatically.
Currently the Trygon has 5 S5 12" range ap 5 shots from it's Bio-electric field.
It can use these instead of it's 6+ invunerable save.

Doesn't sound like a Buckload of firing to me so maybe devourers of something as an option?

Maybe the tyranid guns will no longer have shots based on number of attacks, but on the number of unnecessary chimney stacks, tentacles and tumours the model has sculpted.

Maybe the bio electric field hits everything in base contact or within a certain ammount of inches.... or any unit within a certain ammount of inches d6 times....

That would make a lot of sense after it deep strikes and comes up underneath a unit. If it can do that it would be like a deep striking Monolith forcing all of the models under it to move out of the way then instead of teleporting necrons you get a swarm of Hormagaunts running out of the hole the following turn.... sweet

If this is true and the Trygon is in the codex he will probably be similar stat wise to a really upgraded Carnifex, and the ability of other units to enter play via the tunnel will be the Tyranid answer to a transport/drop pods.... a Mycentic spore drop Pod would be really nice though

To me it sounds less like a rumor of a shooting Trygon, and more like that's what happens when he comes up from the ground to everyone around him.

Follow up on warseer by mr bobix
1) hp = "wound". Sorry i was translating from French and forgot about the wound term.

2) the picture of the cell phone was a page with an drawing of a big nid and some rules (the one who deep strike underground)

3) my source : A friend of me, he's an amazing painter ( multiple golden demon award) worked for gw at some point (in the painting department of course) and he's usually granted with early access to a lot of thing. ie : he got 5 space hulk fully painted before i got even one on the release day !

4) To the guy yelling at me, bla bla bla no proof. yea i don't have proof and i don't really care if the rumour are true or not. I think they are so i shared with you. But trust me i got 30 messages in 3 years i am not a fame/message count whore

5) hoo i forgot something : they have reintroduced the mycetic assault rule, don't know if its will be the same as before but look like you can deep strike unit or tmc.

good day to you !

Edit 1 : the thing about gargoyle i forgot : he told me the rending rules was like the old rending rule (so on hit not on wound) so maybe they are doing only one attack or there is some kind of trick behind it because it's seem a lot powerfull to get a flying rending unit for 6 points.

strength 6 no ap in the example they were talking about it was 20 shoot s6 no ap. Dunno if it's help but i just remembered this and i am bored at work !

Er, except that half of the info in that list Shep posted is not right - some of the product codes are mixed up and several prices are just plain wrong. I wouldn't refer to that particular list... not if you're wanting information that is correct anyway.

I am wondering if it is not rending but is instead a new rule for bio plasma. The whole thing about it being on the to hit roll make me wonder if it really is 'rending'. Or perhaps some new facet of the living ammo rule?

Welp, if nobody used Gargoyles then(mostly because they were fiddly models and were simply too expensive, in both money and points), then at 6 points w/ rending they certainly will give them a try.

If by 1/2 gaunts per $22 box, then I hope they mean more than 8, like the half-and-half box we have now. $22 for 8 guardsmen would be absolutely criminal.

Spot on Mythos.

It happened with the Death Company after they took away their power weapons and fists, and now it's happening with Gargoyles.

They've got new kits to sell, after all.

I wouldn't mind Gargoyles changing from flying Termagants to flying Hormagaunts. I think it would fit them better.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Just wait... I predict by the time we get to 7th edition all units will have rending, thus setting the standard sized games at 4000 pts and requiring you to have that many more models.

All of these sound good and well, but the rumor of a str 6 carnifex are scary. The toughness, wounds and save will no doubt be getting nerfed as well, so you will need 3 in a brood to be useful.

They don't need to sell anymore because we got bait and switched with nidzilla, so lots of people will have piles of uselss carnifexes sitting around.

I am also wondering what will be done with these bio morphs. I hate when people expect you to glue on a little glob on a model, or it can't have adrenal glands. Or a head being regenerate, one being for tusks, but one can have tusks and regenerate.

Silly crap like that.
