Bebop, these are incredible. They're some of the cleanest, coolest minis I've ever seen. And that powerfist is a work of art.

I endorse the forum feedback because comments and smaller communities like Dakka provide far more characteristic feedback on stuff even if its more infrequent than people liking photos. Christ, i'm only 21 and I feel like a venerable dreadnought speaking like this! Nevertheless, while insta is great for the quickfire dopamine hits from loads of likes and lots of followers, I truly appreciate the feedback from people on the forums; the criticism is constructive and the interest is passionate.
Sharks look slick as ever bebop, I do get to benefit from the joy of following you on two platforms now, so that's a good thing i'd kill for a 'uge army shot!

To be clear, the reason i post here is because of the human connection. My friends on dakka are a huge part of my growth as a painter. However, many are actually now on other forms of media which is a lot more immeadiate, especially when sharing WIP. As far as feedback, i find my insta account again to have much more access to painters in general, and its much easier to get feedback from people in specific. Especially from painters that just wont be in here for whatever reason. Either way, thanks for the perspective, and of course an army shot is on the way

cheers

They're all beautiful bebop, but I espescially love the apothecary because your expertise as a painter just jumps out from it. The gun detail is astounding. Thanks for posting.

Yep This is how I feel too about the forums, I have a much more close knit group who actively hang out to see what I (and others) paint and I feel it's much more honest than FB and I don't like Instagram so even though I'm a little absent due to a much busier work life at this point in time I always try and drop in to see what's been happening on the threads and it comforts me as I see familiar 'faces'

I do sometimes whack a pic on FB for opinion or if it is a wip to show others who collect the same army but my heart lies with Dakka

Fantastic work Bebop, you seem to have mastered the difficult to do " clean, but worn and chipped" which isn't all that common amongst painters !

I much prefer posting here on DDakka, as well as reading (looking at pretty pictures) what others have done, than on FB.

I don't get anything more than a few "likes" and "good job" comments on my FB posts (even when I share them to multiple groups), whereas I get proper feedback on DD.

But then I only post finished pieces to my FB page, so it's not all that often for my 59 followers (still more regular updates than my 59 YT followers get They only get FO4 settlement walkthroughs).

My main problem with social media is that a post is only for that instant, after a couple of hours it may as well not exist, there's no going back over past posts, they've been buried by all the new posts.
It's no wonder all the pages I follow are constantly re-posting old things... maybe I should start doing that... It's just so... messy though.

@ Ice angel: thanks so much, glad you dig em!! The white is a bunch of different whites with varying amounts of blue grey in them
@ Dr H: I hear that for sure, this is my oldest hobby home so the roots go deep. FB I tend to avoid at all costs LOL....
@ Cam: thanks brotha!!
@ bIg H: thanks man, I guess so, I hadn’t really thought about it. I try to paint dirty but i guess it always looks clean lol

So big news I guess, the slow grow is over and I won the damn thing. Grand prize, 150$ store credit, not bad I’d say. The army is done but I’m having a friend photographer actually take some serious group shots of it, so I will be showing all that stuff here soon. And I promis 5o show is[t because there’s so much you guys haven’t seen from that army but I’ve got 2350 points fully painted But before that, I spent some of my winning $$ at the shop on shadespire and wanted to really push myself on this one. It’s already done but Here’s the first Orc in my gang<3

Anyways, cheers you guys! Hopefully in the next couple weeks I’ll have th efinished post of the whole space shark army!!
Happy painting

Absolutely out of sight. I love your Space Sharks, but I think that orc is technically far better. Really tight control on the NMM and the light/dark contrasts.

@ Gomez: thanks! The sharks were tabletop standard speedpainting, about 6 hours per model ( not the apothecary) the orc took about 50 hours to paint

Hey guysssss!
Thought id share a bit of WIP on this Deredeo dread im painting for someone....for $$.....i guess you could call it a comission///(i hate that word)...but i wanted the challenge especially because he asked for seomthing out of my comfort zone....he wanted bright (which i could do), but grimy and grimdark (which doesnt come so easy to me)....soo.....i figured....fk it, this is a good time as any to try out oil washes and some FW weathering tips from the imperial armor master class books, which are just freaking gorgeous....anyways....im pretty far in with the model but heres where we are at now...ps it’s a resin knockoff from what I can tell and the mold is absolute dire crap. Really really bad....

as far as the base....i want to do a wet mud slosh, anybody with some links for inspiration as far as wet rainy warzone mud, link em! <3

heres dah pics!

cheers guys!
