I finished the 3 "out of the box Kanz" and I'm really happy, two squad completed from the beginning of the year (paintingwise), I never had such a good time painting, but hopefully this is changing.
The name of number 3 is "Smashink Pumpkan" and the plate under It says "SMASH". Enjoy!

And the skuad completed

I'm going now to undercoar the bikes !

I am in love with this thread, you've gained an avid subscriber sir! I could not see where you were going with that trukk, but the end product defied expectations.

I do agree with Hazzer that it's a tad grandiose for 'just' a trukk though... Could it be run as a Battlewagon? You might want to consider magnetising options if you go down that route

SelvaggioSaky wrote:Thanks Sir Calvin and Goresaw!

Here a couple of shots of the base for one of the Kanz, I like the dark base with the dry static grass contrast, and planning to go ahead for all the army with this.

I'd love to know what you used to put this together. I am dying to make a base just like that for my Grey Knight Captain.

Thank You Henners: I am planning to build one day a bigger bad battlewagon, but first I'll have to convert a Hummer in the second truk, the one for the shoota boyz eheh.
For the base I use rocks (from a house demolition close by), sand and a couple of pieces from the 40k basing kit plus a little piece of leave from a dry pine (from my garden).
I basecoated all black, drybrushed with codex gray quiet heavily and then a lighter drybrush of skull white, easy

MrMerlin: Thank You, the bikes are primed and ready to take the white now

Bigfish & Goresaw: thank You very much

Your work is just getting better and better. A wash might be good, but I wouldn't want to spoil what you already have - maybe start with a thinned wash...

Sorry for the late reply but have been absent (in many ways) the blending looks good from here, I think I would be very careful with a wash due to the white as you could alter the colour.

I like the way it has turned out great work, and good luck with the wrecking ball in war

Hallo guys!
I have a big question for You lot of trustworthy people :
I just purchased a couple of MIG weathering powders, one is Old Rust and the second is Volcanic Sand, I want to use those on my vehicles and kanz but I really am a noob with It:
So, any of You can give me advice and/or links that would help me on this challenge?

I'm planning to give a really light cover with the dust, but I don't know how they work.

Cheers in advance for every help I'm sure You gonna give

You are asking for a tip from 'you lot of trustworthy people' so clearly not me.

Anyways, I almost bought some of that stuff myself. But changed my mind cause of the price here locally. Maybe I'll try some other time. I was tipped that you should do it last (after all other paint) and not to use any water or anything in it really... Not sure that helps
