Bloody well done!

And loving the ungor, don't see enough of them by far.

Thanks. The Ungor is turning out quite well too.

That fleshy flail-fist thing is utterly revolting Albinoork, in a good way haha. Really love the tone you've got on the purple wing tissue also. Looks like papery moth wings, has an almost translucent quality to it as well.

Thanks. It wan't difficult to do. I used Reaper Lilac Purple and added white. After that it was a lilac-ish oil wash and semi-gloss varnish.

Paradigm wrote:Everyone's work is looking awesome! Good to see a few old names popping back in, and Albinoork, that guy is utterly fantastic! Although I can't help but think the base looks like a single-serving cheesecake that's gone very, very badly off!

Still waiting on my minis, hopefully they'll turn up today.

Thanks. You get to try the first bite.

Lots of good WIPs are being posted. Don't dawdle to much because the month will be over before you know it.

Take care and be well.

False emperor? If that is the new name of Malal then.....

Well, guys, since I'm trying to do an entire Halloween themed chaos army during October, and since I get to enter up to 5 figures... I thought I'd enter a small group of classic Halloween monsters that will be serving as some of my commanders (as well as Frankenstein's Dreadnought). I should get a couple of these done before I actually get around to painting Frankie. Not exactly sure how big the final group will be... depends on how well they turn out I suppose.

Here's the prebuild shot of Thanatos (Grim Reaper) that I'm making out of "The Seeker" and some plastic and metal bits. I kind of jumped the gun and you can see I've already cut the head off of his staff and modified his 3 arms down to 1 & gotten rid of the flames in his left hand.

Here's the first build WIP. You can see the head of the scythe in the background. Just plasticard, some hollow tube & some GS.

Alright I decided to go for more of a red force blade. I normally just paint them a steel color, but I felt like it would be too bland especially with the steel colored skull on the shoulder pad. I also laid down the campaign badge transfer on his leg since that was the only place it would fit . Anyways I am just waiting on his shoulder pad and I will be pretty much done with him!

OK gang... finished Thanatos (Grim Reaper) so at least I'll have something to enter. Still lots to come. Note the jack-o-lantern for that "trick or treat" feel.

Love it!

Do a spin for us? I'm curious how he looks, not familiar with the figure.

Well, here's the original figure with a paint job that makes me look like a complete hack...
Spoiler:

His arms had to be reduced from three to one and the flames in his hand removed. I also had to completely remove his staff and replace it with a scratch-built scythe (made from brass wire, tubing, thick plasticard & green stuff). I don't want to burden this blog with too many pics of my stuff. I'll do a nice photoshoot when I submit my final entry if that will suffice.

Thanks for your comments though BC, I do appreciate it!!

Thanks gits! He actually looks a lot like the forgeworld version, I kinda got lucky in that aspect because raven guard veterans have white helmets so I felt it was fitting for him to have one since most combat librarians are deserving of the veteran status. Also Thanatos looks awesome, especially the jack o'lantern

The sound of jump packs screamed overhead, epistolary Kyaneus did not look up knowing it was shadow captain Korvydae and assault squad Garrulus rushing forward to strike down the target that they have been hunting for so long. Kyaneus and strike force Korvydae had come to Chapus two months earlier when the Ravenspire picked up a desperate plea for help from the Governor saying greyish green space marines with ooze leaking out of their joints had invaded their planet. The Master of Shadows had sent the strike force to liberate the planet with due hast since it laid only a few systems over from Deliverance. Since then Kyaneus and the strike force had been fighting the runious powers and its followers in the swamps where they had made their home. But today was to be different, today the Raven Guard had tracked down the leader of the Lords of Decay a foul sorcerer named Sobek. And as Korvydae streaked forward to smite the foe who had tried to destroy this world. but Kyaneus felt a pulse rip through the warp and it was at that moment he realized that they had failed and what ever Sobek was trying to conjure he was successful. And as the ground around him began to stir and limbs starting popping out from the decaying ground he summoned warp fire, knowing the battle ahead would be long and strenuous.

I usually do not write stories so forgive me if it was poorly written, but I felt my entry needed a bit of background (also it will help lay the foundation for my AoP board)

Lovely work, Ustrello! Did you want the fluff posted alongside the final entry?

@Gits: Cracking stuff, love the black-to-white blends! Can you do me a favour; when you get to your final final pics, put them all the finished models you're entering into one place? It just makes it easier for me than having to go through the thread and work out what's final and what's not.

Looking forward to the next one.

@Paradigm: I'd planned on doing that. I'll have photos of the group as my official entry & then probably some spoilered shots of the individual models in case folks want to look at the details.

Ok, I'll add that in in a mo.

Time to crack on with my entry. Parcel arrived today, so here's the proof:

And the finished article, because I had nothing better to do this evening (and I've been wanting to paint this mini for months!) There will be some other models in my finished entry, maybe some Clowns, maybe Harley Quinn.

And then this happened...

Any thoughts welcome!

Cool Para nice model, amazing you can do that good a job in such a short time. Would take me about 2 weeks and I won't get anywhere close to your level.

Update on the Ork Treat or Treat, hes not a grot so will have to rename him from grot2d2 to ork2d2 (open to suggestions), done the model and GS work, need to paint it, I was hoping to get a few others done but time seems to be flying by as always.
