do they have some special rule cause you can get a Space Marine Assault Squad for about half price buy a tube of green stuff and just convert them

They used to have a list of rules like Hit and Run, but sadly no more. And that's the better way to go, Assault Marines are just fine (or regular CSM with Fury wings to look cool).

Thats exactly what I did, though I think Im starting to regret it now a bit. They look alright, but I think the actual raptors would look better.

Oh, as for why theyre so much - theyre metal.

I use ordinary SM Assault Marines, with light conversion.

Raptors look miles better than Assault Marines, but they are metal after all. On topic, they are metal, which is why they cost so much.

Purely cause their puter, and their older which tend's to lead to puter.


Really ya like the Raptor's how they are? I always liked making them look more chaotic, they also don't come with plasma gun's something i always fit mine with.

As others have said, Raptors are expensive because they're metal.


For my Raptors, I used regular assault marines, spiky'd them up, and got a metal raptors as a sergeant. Yes, I'm a cheapskate .

I use normal CSM's with posessed wings... explains my twenty posessed who don't ever see daylight

Yah, except those are plastic....

IMHO, raptors are overpriced and ugly... get creative with them and do 'em up in plastic... besides, sometimes getting in that mix of legit (if defiled) SM hardware makes for a good piece of warband fluff.
