I like that dreadnaught. A lot. Hopefully we'll see a model for it one day.

I see what is apparently green glowy plague marines, and some chaos equivalents of things the normal marines already get. I'm not excited *yet*

The only difference I see between the dow2 chaos dred and the metal chaos dred is the caged skeleton.

According to that review its just a blood ravens campaign..

Damn you Tzeentch.. give me any campaign but blood ravens!

I wonder if this update will be as Opposing fronts where you could play all the fractions multiplayer if you bought the add-on. Would rock for multiplayer only folks who haven't bought the game yet. Like me.

If it has just Chaos in the single player campaign ... I won't even bother....

It will be the first 40k game I've skipped too.

Dunno what you people are smoking, that Dreadnaught looks like arse Is it supposed to be super-deformed? Maybe it's a "Chaos Squat" dreadnaught?

Don't get me wrong, I adore the single/coop campaign of DoW2 but by now I've had my fill of blood ravens. I certainly hope that this chaos corruption aspect will be more game changing than a couple dialog sequences of 'Hey guys chaos is bad and its not cool to use chaos.' Hell even the option to play a different chapter of marines would be nice.

I have to say, I'm not as excited as I thought I'd be about this news. I loved DoW and enjoyed DoWII, but playing 10 more levels of the same old Blood Ravens just doesn't quite do it for me anymore. Especially since it's just going to be hordes of Chaos Marines charging into my gun line instead of Orks or Tyranids. Oh well, I'm still going to buy it and probably enjoy it.

You realise that by 'levels', they mean experience levels, not actual levels. The level cap is going from 20 to 30, as in each character can get to Lvl30.

You know that, right?

I think I'm unique in that I'm looking foreward to the expansion more for what it does to the multiplayer game then the single.

I can't wait. But I'm disappointed that we have to wait so long for a single additional playable race. At this rate it will take over 10 years for each race/army to be added to the game.

At least add both CSM and daemons in the next update.

Nope, not unique. The singleplayer of DOW2 was a D. Nothing more. Very repetitive, not much suspense, many good story arc opportunities wasted. Sadly Relic is lacking in the campaign/story department. The multiplayer is something I enjoy a lot about their games, though. I play only coh intensively online, though.

Keep in mind they did this for Dawn of War 1. Winter assault was a single race. The will likely add more, more rapidly in the future.

I'm also looking forward toward the multiplayer component more. The game is getting stale with marines being 50% of the playerbase.

I'm looking forward to single and multiplayer about equally. A new race will be a lot of fun as long as it's reasonably balanced. I also agree that the Chaos dreadnought looks silly.
