I picked up a 1/32 scale M3 Lee ww2 tank for about 25$ at the local hobby shop, figuered it would make a decent count as malcador. I outfitted this one with sponson lascannons and a hull mounted autocannon. The lascannons are multilasers but whatever, they look like lascannons from a distance. I had a leftover conqueror canon so it's a "battle cannon" now. I was gonna use gw treads but they were just too small to fit. I'll probably have it primed by tomorrow, painted by the weekend.

Next up we got some at-43 kolossus models converted to be sentinels, I've added some chainsaws to make the look badass (mad props to neal at the war store). I also added some magnets so I can arm them however I want. I also re-based them, they're not on the actual sentinel bases because that would look gakky. These models are wicked awesome and hella cheap, got all 3 for 12$ (mad props to the war store).

And finally something a littlee absurd but I'm happy with it. My previous version of colonel iron hand straken just wasn't doing it for me so I decided to make something even more ridiculous. To offset the size of the space marine powerfist I used a normal powerfist for the other arm, the guy's half machine after all. Made sure to give him a shotgun too. The head is from the new hellhound box, I find it works well to give him a machine look.

Anyway, any questions feel free to ask.

fluff wise I view them as old demiurg technology with imperial weaponry retrofitted to them.

I love that Lee, it's just crazy enough to work. (I can only imagine how much cooler it would be looted-style) Is it comparable to a Malcador in terms of physical size?

That "Malcador" is the bomb, I love it.
I'm convinced I need one now.

Hmm, also that Straken's head looks cool. I might buy a hellhound kit just for the head ;-)

It's pretty much the highlight of the kit. I like the new hellhound kit but it's almost too efficient, you get like one or two leftover bits.

Ok so finally got around to taking some pix of the progress. The malcador is done and so is straken. I'm about 90% on the count as sentinel things, just gotta finish basing them and add some decals.

Did you prime over the AT-43 mini paint jobs or just paint right over them?

That Straken is a really top conversion, the proportions seem more than acceptable, and the Malcador is a grand example of putting in a random set, and bringing it into the 40k universe.

This work should be held up as a prime example of great vision and equally good implementation.

I like them all a lot, especially the use of a historical tank as a base for your malcador, and nice paint scheme!
