This thread is exactly what the title says, a thread to talk about awesomeness performed by single modelsin wargaming.

I decided to start this thread after my Broodlords rampage yesterday. Fighting Tau, he arrives with a retinue on turn 2, assaulting and destroying a Crisis suit unit. Opponents turn, the normal genestealers go bye-bye, and the Broodlord is injured.My opponent decides that it is better to assault than be assaulted, and charges Broodlord with stealthsuits.Two Rending hits later, and the Broodlord sweeping advances the guys off the map. Then goes for the hammerhead. Boom. Next turn, he charges a Broadside unit with the help of some Hormagants. Wipe-Out.

Unfortunately, we ran out of time and had to end on turn 4, with the broodlord still alive. This guy alone almost made up for loosing both Trygons turn 2, one in close combat.

Good idea. I don't play chaos, but I got the chance to play a World Eaters army once. Kharn the betrayer and his squad of Berzerkers were pretty good but they only killed on tactical squad before getting destroyed. Only Kharn was left, and he lived! He even killed an Ironclad Dread and a Command Squad, and a combat squad by himself. He survived the game too!

He killed around 10 Tac marines, the command guys, and a Dread by himself. Not bad! Who can top it?

I've had a mob of thirty orks get whittled down (through shooting and while crushing their foes) to just the nob and a buddy. Nob kills his friend to pass his break test, and goes solo. He runs up, sweeping advances 10 Necron warriors, consolidates into cover, survives the enemy shooting with one wound left, then runs into a unit of destroyers and eats them too, causing the 'cron force to phase. He's a warboss now.

I played against my buddy's Tyranids with my Crimon Fists, back in the last Tyranid codex. First turn, a drop pod with Lysander and 10 Sternguard drop in, killing the warriors that provided most of the army's synapse. The sternguard are killed, but Lysander remains. He manages to kill a brood of gaunts, a brood of genestealers and their broodlord, and a carnifex on his own. At the end of the game he still had half his wounds, and he only took two because of the old implant attack broodlords had.

Considering yours wasn't even an HQ, and had a 6+ save, I think that would be hard to beat.

Under 4th Ed Chaos in the AdeptiCon Gladiator - Chaos lord on a bike with the kitchen sink (400 pts) killed a FW Trygon in one round of combat after I charged and did not take a wound. Next up, lord and lieutenant charge a HTH Tyrant and kill it before he even got a chance to swing. Lord continued to rampage through the tyranid army all by himself.

Eversore assassin is my killing machine of choice. I use a Tallarn as the model, he blends in with the army until it's too late, he walks out, charges 12" and kills a squad.

Sooner or later he dies but he has so much fun doing it.

I was playing against a friend's tyranids last weekend and in one game I had a vindicator rack up the following kills:

3 hormagaunts
2 Land speeders armed with MM and HF
1 LC terminator
1 TH/SS terminator
1 Rhino (carrying...)
3 Tac marines who died in the ensuing explosion caused by a penetrating hit rolled at half the demo cannon's strength on their rhino's rear armor

My friend promptly declared my (obviously genestealer infected) vindicator his MVP of the game

My nob squad with a warboss take out two 6 man sterguard squads, then they assault two ironclads which wasn't pretty only two nob's and warboss live. Then a crap ton of shooting goes against my warboss rendering him to one wound. My turn comes and I am like what the hell, so I assault Pedro Kantor and his sternguard squad. I killed Pedro and my warboss was still was alive. Then he gets punched in the face by the others next turn.

My Rhino has been one of my faves since it took out 200 points on its own in a game, rolling double 6's to hit and wound a dev squad, before the opponent failed both saves, then tank-shocking 3 terminators that were fleeing, getting immobilised and making them run of the board in fear of it (was empty while doing both). It currently is being transformed into a LR.

Lol, increasing the rank of vehicles works too.

I've had Nobz weather some serious firepower. its funny when they're the last one left in their squad and still don't die. And the they suicide rush something. I once had some MANz take a point blank shot from a vindicator (SnP sucks...) and the lone survivor charged and destroyed it. He survived the next turn, since my opponent was busy shooting at some boys with the other vindicator, which was then charged and killed by the same guy. My Deff Dread killed the captain and his squad, and the boys did nothing. Boys before toys, makes sense but it didn't help me much.

My Nurgle terminator lord.

Combi Melta droped a dreadnought. He powerfisted a Scout squad and a Sternguard squad and THEN a Chaplin.

He made it clear he was a master of the Warband.

I have a lone grot model in my army with a Space Marine Terminator helmet as a trophy. he earned it back at GW Potomac Mills. Probably the loudest celebration I'd heard in that store.

Yeah I know it's not a story like Ghaz walking through a Tau army back in 4th, but that remains one of my proudest kills in 40k. Fear the grots!

Today, I've had a lone broadside kill:

all of that in one, 1000 point game. It may have also caused a few other smaller deaths, but I don't remember them clearly.

Archaon, lord of the end times in...well every game the man has been in.

Saw the monster fight a large unit of Skaven plague guys with the Furnace and a second large block hit him as well. He murdered 1 of the blocks to a rat, but didn't have enough time to get that far into the other. He had been fighting since turn 2. Also saw Archy and a single Chaos Knight charge a block of Tomb King skeletons and do...wait for it...14 wounds. The liche priest had ducked the challenge thinking Archy wouldn't do that much damage. Next round he took one for the team.

Also saw Kholek Suneater single handedly win a game against vamps. He crushed a Black Knight unit, shot the dragon from under the Vamp lord with lighting and beat him to paste. It was truly ridiculous because at that point he was almost the only model left for the army.

Once my single stricking scorpion exarch(with bitting blade) kill grendal the defiler, an oblit, a rhino, 4 havocs, and a horror befor being put in his place by a chaos lord in termi armour with one wound left.

He has continued to perform plenty scenes of mass slaughter in a single life since.

Not only surviving but making break checks and even taking down foes that assaulted him. Now refered to as Vet SGT Jessup (points to guess the reference.) leads his own Tac Squad.

Mine is a Leman Russ Vanquisher #501 ( from a converted Tiger I model ) 26 career kills and has never been destroyed in any engagement, 16 of the kills are Land raiders .
I have marked the kills with the customary kill rings on the barrel, in my old gaming group it struck fear in the hearts of many a marine army.

Leman Russ Vanquisher has not failed to kill a buddies hive tyrant by turn 3

2ed Ragnar Blackmane on combat drugs took out 18 genestealers in one turn.

I had a warlock who had survived the destruction of his Storm Guardian squad take down two chimeras and a Leman Russ.

He was the only guy left from my Eldar army at the end of the game.

In another game Maugan Ra destroyed two chimeras and two russ chassis tanks walking across the board, then assaulted Pask in his vanquisher to destroy his tank too.

I was using the old Chaos metal Dread - HBMC's, in fact, in my chaos army. I dubbed him 'Triple Corpse Hammer Blow' when I named my entire army off of random songs.

In one game he destroyed a fire prism, wave serpent, 10 swooping hawks, 10 storm guardians with haywire grenades and then got stuck into a Pheonix Lord.

He survived the game, and killed around 1/3 of the enemy forces.

This isnt nearly as impressive, but it still made me happy. I always field Colonel Straken. He just punched the face off a Demon Prince, and a squad of plague bearers yesterday.

Also not really 1 man army, but my mortar squads have killed marine bikers and ork warbosses yay for underestimated IG face smashing!

I had an old Battle Standard Bearer for my Hordes of Chaos Army, Thorgrimm Belatu Kadros, who always seemed to be the man of the match. Whatever large unstoppable Unit/Monster/Character my opponent would bring, he'd crush it. Wyverns, Dragons, Steamtanks, Giants, etc. But he'd always die on Turn 6 by like a gobbo's spear or something.

Shoot, I'll throw my story in. I've had this Chaos Predator since I started wargaming. I wasn't sure how to make the most of my force at the time, but after reading some of the ultra competative blogs he got labled "not worth it." One day I finally decided to put him together because I was having trouble killing transports quickly. I thought 'hey, what the hell' you know?

The first game was a small 750 point game against Imperial Guard. Turn one it scythes through a Leman Russ Battle Tank, causing it to explode, killing many of the surrounding Guardsmen and forcing many of those squads to flee. The next turn it wrecked a Chimera. The turn after that I had it vaporize my own Rhino so that it could claim it killed a vehicle every turn that game.

Honestly, that's been the story of its life. Landraider down range? No problem, it'll explode it and kill two of the passengers. Squad of Killa-kans? It'll wreck two of the three. Big bug problem? Not anymore! It has never had a bad day. It'll kill whatever I put infront of it, consistantly, which has lead to my paranoid conviction that Autocannons aren't worth the points.

I fielded Kharn the other day aginst Ravenguard. Upon leaving his parked Rhino with his squad of 'zerkers he charged an infiltrating scout squad and Librarian. He butchered 5 scouts and two of his own men. Eventually beat down the Lib and two more scouts in turn two, and moved on to butcher 5 tact marines and the two surviving memebers of his zerks. Not content with that, he survived a fusilade of lascannon/plasma fire and limped over to a contesting Razorback and removed its tracks. In the last turn he survivied another volley of fire and removed said Razorback's turret and wrecked it for good measure. Pure class.
