I thought a Thread listing peoples choices on favorite or most effective ( in their own opinion ) armored fighting vehicles, kinda like a history channel episode .

So to get it started off I will submit my personal choice:

The Hammerhead Tau MBGT (Main Battle Grav Tank)
With its superb Railgun and manuverability, combined with good armor defenses, the hammerhead represents to me the epitome of an highly effective AFV, capable of dominating large areas of terrain with its long range main armament, and highly survivable with the proper Tau armory additions.

I have found The hammerhead to also have a mental impact on it's enemies, making them reluctant to expose their own armor in the face of its ferocious anti-armor capabilities.
When kitted out with a SMS it becomes a very sucessful ant-personnel platform as well.
All in all I have found it to be well balanced and effective in everyway, and a pleasure to paint as well.

Ok well thats my entry anyone else please feel free to comment or post your own nominations.

land raider ares- it doesn't say that you can't use it in regular 40k! Demolisher cannon (it doesn't say it has to be hull-mounted- turret!) 2 twin linked heavy flamer sponsons and a twin-linked assault cannon- perfect in dense terrain and only 300 points!

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.
corpsesarefun: Thank god I missed be nice to shrike day.
greenskin lynn: because of all the skittles and soda, you basically live off sugar water, like some sort of freakish human-hummingbird hybrid.

Best battle tank... I'm going to have to say the Leman Russ Battle Tank. It's just a good, solid tank. Amazing armor, range, versitility, and speed that doesn't break the bank.
