Some terrain would make a lot of sense saleswise - something to throw at all the non-marine players to distract them from the lack of other cool stuff for their specific armies. Can't just have the mairne players excited over Planetstrike...

I'm not expecting anything else in plastic, bur some metal special characters wouldn't surprise me

Dude, I'd kill for some pie! And warp spiders would be the perfect side to that pie. Like vanilla ice cream! What better way to steal pie from a window sill, destroy a defense laser or sabotage a missile silo than warp packs!

While a plastic Warhound would be cool, I don't think it really fits with the Planetstrike idea. I'd be very happy with a plastic Thunderbolt. Or three.

what about a plastic vulture i mean they've got most of the bits in plastic already.

I'm down with the thunderbolt and pie btw

Umm... no, they haven't. If you're referring to the Mars Pattern Warhound, it NEVER had options, as the Lucius Pattern Weapons aren't compatible with the Mars Chassis. Both Lucius Pattern Warhounds have all their previous options, too.

They're compatible, they're just of a different style.

Now because we have a plastic Valk why doesn't GW or Forgeworld come out with a conversion pack to turn it into a Vulture Gunship.

Ah yes, just what we need: a big piece of fethed up resin to mix with a great plastic kit that fits together perfectly, yet again resulting in many calls to FW for a replacement part that has been cast properly.

Ain't the Vulture Gunship a completely different make of aircraft for what it looks like on forgeworld the Vulture is way smaller than a Valk?

To convert it into a Vulture you would be supplying literally a new vehicle (new wings, new body etc) would be little sense to try and turn something big and bulky into something like the Vulture.

From what I've heard from several people who have both styles, the connection points are different between the Lucius and Mars and that the Lucius weapons to not fit the Mars and vice versa.

Is it even possible for GW to simultaneously release multiple model kits for multiple armies? I for see a few new kits and terrain, while armies that aren't SM/Orkz/IG get shafted with imaginary stuff like orbital bombardments and more elaborate deep striking formations.

On the other hand, I hope the Tau get something like a plastic Barracuda or Tigershark!

If Planetstrike works similar to Cities of Death I guess we can expect a new unit/model for almost every army. So my guesses are:
- IG: Plastic Stormtropper
- Orks: metal Flash Gitz (they're the only infantry unit left in the 'Dex which doesn't have models) or maybe a platic Kopta Kit
- 'Nids: plastic Gargoyles are way overdue. But does anybody actually use them?
- Necron: Probably nothing, because they should have a new book coming up.
- Space Marines: you can bet your hairy hide that we'll get the Land Speeder Storm
- Eldar: The new jetbike design showed up again somewhere just recently. Is this too much to hope for?

No, it's practically the same, aside from different tail surfaces and different center hull incorporating a different engine. The cockpit, wings, and tails are practically identical.

Sincity replies :
You are not going to get a plastic vulture , we are getting a Vendetta gunship. Forge World will most likely stop production of both vulture and valkyrie.

However , I can see a flyer for each range in the next 3 years with improved flyer rules in Planetstrike.

Also air defences , a control tower , and hanger.

I see you are using those little asterisks again, so you are dead fething serious again. Come on now! FW's overall quality is gak and their customer services are gak unless you buy a Warhound or another product with a three digit price tag.

Besides, I'm not talking about a turret or cupola here, but the hull of the thing. A big block of resin in the middle where the plastic bits go on. Sure, the first few hundred may be cast up to spec, but as with all casts of FW sooner or later gak hits the fan and you will get gakky casts that are full of holes, bent or mismatching parts.

YMMV of course, maybe I'm just the guy with the rotten luck of always getting the crappy stuff or the kits with parts and whatnot missing. Four months and counting for those parts, any longer and I might as well give up.

Neither am I.

The Repressor is a fairly old kit, but it covers the entire top of the Rhino. It's like 2" x 4". It's freakin' huge.

It is far larger than a turret or cupola. Look it up on FW for yourself.

Which has all of what to do with the Vulture?

Whenever you ever want to say something like the above quoted post, always remember the principles of AEI. What is AEI? It stands for:

Anecdotal Evidence Isn't.

If you can't figure out what that means, then I can't help you.

I won't be buying a Citadel Water Cup!

Wake up and smell the coffee fanboiz! You can totally make your own cup at home, and some a ton of money. All you need is a furnance capable of melting glass, a ton of high grade silicon, and a glass blowers tube. Then you can make your water cup exactly the way you WANT IT! Not the way that GreedWorkshop wants you too!!!!1!1!! Anyway, I'm a college student, so money's tight, and I can't afford $35 USD for a water cup from GW.
