Blood Angels Chaplain Lemartes and his full squad (8ish) of Death company Marines was advancing quickly at my Tau gun line. In the 2 turns of shooting I got the squad was down to 2 DC and Lemartes. They jumped into the second floor of a ruined building where my Fire Warriors where hiding and slaughtered them all. While they were getting ready for the next charge every head in the Tau army turned their way and fired everything they had. After the combined laser/firework-show al the DC were down and Lemartes had a single wound left. While Lemartes jumped up to charge my XV8 squad he slipped and broke his neck on the cold ruin floor.

Ya and the picture was awesome. I think it was in front of an infernal gate or some such thing. The perspective from the daemon was great, "Ok you banished me. I'll be back in a 1000 years while you're still dead" or something like that.

My flyrant with 2 scything talons and every upgrade against tau everything else died from mass shooting and it those 4 turns he had taken a massive 8 fusion shots 16 plasma shots 4 railguns 8 sms and 12 burst cannon shots. Now he was on 1 wound about to kill the fuping crisis team when he remembered he forgot the gun drone now im a good sport so i let him shoot he gets 1 hit gets the wound and i need a 1 to fail. WHY DID I LET HIM SHOOT!!!

I was fighting CSM with SoB and all I had left was a few random models that hadn't been killed by Ahriman, and 3 acts of faith. I kept fighting, and had one stinking SoB left, when I manage to finally bring back Celestine from reserves (She'd already been killed twice because she isn't immune to instant death) She does act of faith, smashes the dreadnaught, and goes onto slaughter every single thing the guy had left including Ahriman, 3 to 5 Thousand Sons, and an Obliterator... EPIC =)

One game I had was Orks vs. Orks, and the previous turn, his squad of 24 boyz killed all 13 of my boyz. My killa kan was behind the squad though, and in one turn of close combat, killed all 24 of them. It was hilarious.

The unruly mob of boys cleared the ridge and spotted a tightly gathered, highly regimented unit of terminators. As they charged in to assault the stalwart marines, the orks fired their sluggas wildly into the crowded mass of armor. Suddenly the boys stopped in their tracks.
Dumbfounded, even for orks, the boys surveyed the scene that had instantly changed in front of them. Each and every terminator clad marine suddenly lay dead before them.

Too funny.

Ok 5 asautl marines shoot at a one wound greater deamon with 3+ armor and only one hit it then wounded and killed it.

The super old Titan Legions was great too, you could fire your guns and overheat, and if you over heated there was a very small chance the core at the center of the titan would explode and take everyone with it. Emperator titan, unloaded all of its final payload t take down 2 of the Ork 'Nauts. Succeeding, only to overheat and blow up himself. One, ONE unit of ork boyz survived the blast, in the bastion of the 'Naut.

Bjorn the Fell-Handed got picked up, turned upside down, and buried below the ground by a displacer gun in 2nd ed.

Lashrant(Bonesword n' lash+Talons) VS. Great Unclean One... Endless fun! Literally, endless! Unless dice rolls go as they should, then the Greater Daemon eventually beats the Tyrant down.

Or outflanking Broodlords with 11 stealers. A full squad of Eldar Guardians and a squad of pathfinders? Two turns of assault, all of them dead... So were the genestealers and Broodlord, but hey, half the army of a small game gone. Or trying to get the Broodlord and ret. locked in CC so that they can't get shot up. What lesson did I take from that? Don't rely on Stealers getting locked in combat with anything alive, only humping dead corpses. NOTE: They may be great "SURPRISE! Anti-tank lol", but they cannot kill walkers. Damn you, Defilers!

I was shooting at a crisis suit with a standard Leman Russ and screwed up the Battle Cannon's scatter roll. It ended up on top of a Hammer Head. I rolled six for penetration and a six for damage causing the tank to blow up, killing two fire warriors in the process. Then we rolled for my hull-mounted Lascannon managed to kill the crisis suit.

My tank died next turn but that was irrelevant, it killed another tank by accident.

my deathwing commander in termie armor went toe to toe with a bloodthirster on top of a rhino for 4 turns....they killed eachother simultaniously....this was 2nd edition..............

Trooper Corr of the Cadian 54th Armored Legion ran forward to meet the Ork tide head on with his unit. Above him, a warp storm flared and communications were useless. As he ran forward, blood pounding, he realized his men weren't shooting, just running into the Orks hoping to get a kill. He looked up, and saw an Ork scavenged Warhound Titan with the pilot cockpit guard missing. Corr dropped down onto one knee, settled his lasgun, exhaled, and fired. He hit the Ork Princep right in the face, killing him instantly and bringing the Titan down.

So much for the strategy of attrition when playing IG.

Thats worse than the 14 Necron Warriors who brought down a Reaver by rapid firing.

After surviving 2 turns of concentrated fire from lascannons, plasma guns, melta guns, multilasers, and mortars my flyrant with warp field was finally brought down by the humble lasgun...not just any lasgun...the LAST lasgun of the LAST unit that fired.

We had a house rules game where we used some farm animals as scatterable terrain. Every turn we rolled 2 d6 and a scatter die to see where they moved, and if they moved over a unit, each model it passed over got a S5 trample hit.

Last turn of the game and I held the one objective with a squad of 9 Marines. I rolled the scatter, and the damn cow trampled 6 of my men.
I failed all 6 armor saves.

I laughed so hard I almost peed.


I do recall one game in 3rd edition where my scout sarg held a bloodthrister in hand to hand for about 4 turns. That was fun.

in a recent apoc game da commander azrael and his command squad +lib + chaplin drop podded into the middle of 3 full mobs of orks YES 3 !!! then a mob of nobs decided to come and play too after an epic 3 turn battle (5 rounds of combat) he was dead after dispaching 45 boys all the nobs and a warboss who came in to "show da boys ow it done"
i think that was the most wasome combat i have ever been involved in he must have made and passed 50/60 armour save + invunrables (he never failed an inv) .stalled the entire advance as the army had to turn round to deal with him and the 2 other drop pods and cos it lost momentum won me the game !!!!!

10/10 for the effort

nce my Big Mek w/ shokk attak gun ad to assault a LR redeemer. That was evil. Next time, My necron lord w/ warscythe gets 4 attacks at 2D6+5 on the redeemer, and none of them even glance. Then my mate lets me have another roll because he 'didn't see one of them', and I roll an 11. And he doesn't let me have it(mug...).

Also, not exactly a death, but The same redeemer (not in the same game) stood still for 3 turns, and then Moved a full 12'', incinerates 10 boyz so i only have 4 left. Next turn. i move 2 inches away. Then, he moves 10 inches onto some terrain, and immobilizes himself. Then shoots the assault cannon and kills 2 more boyz. And in that game, my 4 nobz and the warboss all got killed in 1 round of fire.

I hate Redeemers!!!



And my other friend's CSM w/ plasma gun has killed himself at least twice while i've been playing him... oh well!!!

Hammerhead railgun large blast template shot right into enemy hq. needless tosay, none left standing lol very good first turn that was.

When i was 14 my parents divorced, i went with my mum - when we went back to the family house my father had made a bonfire of all mine and my mothers belongings - obviously my space marines didn't stand a chance.

True story, haven't spoken to him since - not cause of the minatures but due to the drunken violence that i grew up with.

my PK warboss assaulted a templar's squad with 5 initiates and 5 neophytes
i killed all but one neophyte with a shotgun, his morale test was snake eyes, i had one wound left, next turn i failed my armor save

Not quite a death, but still a nasty bit of luck. I had a Boomfex chasing a Devilfish. I shot it with my Barbed Srangler, missed, hit myself, wounded, failed the save. I then assaulted...took a wound to flechettes and failed the save. Out of four attacks, one hits, glances, stuns. His turn rolls around, he shoots a Crisis at my Boomfex, no wounds. Assault phase rolls around, Boomfex smacks the D'fish three times, three pens, it explodes. One inch radius, one wound on the 'fex, one failed save. Good job Carnifex, you just took three wounds killing a flying METAL BOX. Course, that stopped the Fire Warriors from reaching the objective and won me the game, so meh.

My warphead and 30 shoota boyz make a daring rush towards a rhino, as it is the only thing on the same side of the table, firing wildly they do absolutely nothing, and the warphead rolls an 11 on his psycic power test. 8 sternguard and a librarian jump out of the rhino and fire 3 combi flamers and the librarians flamer power into the mob, followed by the other 5 rapid firing hellfire rounds into the mob, i lose 18 boyz in one round. The next turn the warphead passes his psychic test and gets frazzle kills 5 sternguard and the shootas put a wound on the libby. I assault another rhino that got too close the next turn do absolutely nothing, and the 4 marines inside proceed to rapid fire and fire a flamer into the mob, slaughtering everything but the pk nob and the wierdboy leaving both with 1 wound each they fail their moral test and the nob uses his bosspole on the wierdboy killing the only unit to kill 125 points in one round in order to stop himself from fleeing. He charges the marines next turn and kills 2 being beaten to death the following turn. All in all it started bad continued alright and then ended bad.

SAG mek and 18 grots shoots Belial and is retinue. 3 Die in cool ways due to having snotlngs appear in them, but the other two and Belial die to grots throwing rocks and stuff at them.

Played a game Saturday. My friend has a unit of 20 orks (with Warboss) sitting on an objective, but ended up on the wrong end of a basilisk and Leman Russ. After the smoke clears there is one Nob left. Next shooting phase I fire all three of my heavy bolters at him. I miss with all 9 shots. I then roll for the Battle Cannon and drop the shell right on his head.

I pictured the Nob poking his head up out of the ground, after the Heavy bolter had shredded the area around him, just in time to have the BT shell hit him between the eyes.
