+1 vote for Duriel. I mean what the feth. Let's put you in a box with a giant maggot thing. Wait. Make it a tiny box so you can't run away. Oh, oh, and make him really fast. And while we're at it, why not make him slow down the players? Yeah! That'll be so much fun, I bet people on Bnet will just grind him for days and days at a time like they do with Mephisto.

These 2 assasin twins ...

They come in middle of the game , around 15 hours play time . On a lvl where you need to save a girl , if she dies its game over.
The problem is the 2 assasins are so fast , they'll always kill the girl in their npc turn before the player even get to press a button.

So its either restart the WHOLE game from the beginning , or if you remember to buy out dated armors that increases speed -_- before saving into the lvl.

Eh, as with a lot of FFTactics bosses, it all depends on how much prep-time you have beforehand. You can choose to make that fight as easy or as hard as you want it to be.

Oh yes. Especially when they start pulling out linked up switch moves that the players can't do, and utterly obliterating you in 5 moves, none of which you are on the ground for. A mate of mine is on the final bracket of floors, and it got to the point where we had a good attempt if we didn't die on the first one.

Recumen from Skies of Arcadia. Did you buy a secondary cannon? Great! Easy fight ahead! Wait, you didn't? I guess it's DEATH LASERS for you...

Seriously, even if you survive without using the cannon (that you have only a small window in which to buy, without any kind of prompt) there's another fight immediately afterwards. It's possible to do, but really, really hard.

Ok so you know how in Devil May Cry one you're going along in the beginning of the game, grab them Pride of the Lion then go back to the Chapel and Phantom the Magma Daemon Scorpion pops up? Yeah he was a huge pain in the ass the first couple of times. Now though he's easy.

Yeah, the Fable II "boss" confrontation at the end was about as anti-climactic as you can get.

Assassin's Creed had a fairly disappointing boss, although the combat was fairly easy all round in that game. Still very impressive.

Onaga in Mortal Kombat: Deception.

He can fly. He has an unavoidable throw attack. He can breathe fire which you cannot avoid. He has assloads of health.

It's just obscene.

Also, Night Terror in Soulcalibur III. Take Nightmare, combine him with Abyss, give him laser eyes and wings, and you have Night Terror. What a pain in the ass.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

It was really annoying that you could not actually assassinate many of the targets though.

The number of times I stood on a roof out of sight and used throwing knives to "kill" the target to no effect so as not to wade through the 60000000000 guards that block your way after you are forced to walk up right next to your target and his bodyguards and watch the cut scene.

Then follows a huge fight/chase with the entire worlds population of guards before you can make your way to the actual target who you could have killed quietly about 3 hours previously had you been able to. Or had actually planned your attempt so as not to have occured when they were surrounded by goons (such as perhaps when they were asleep somewhere? Come on games designers, would an assassin really strike in the middle of the day, in the middle of a load of enemy soldiers?).

Another vote for FFX. Any Final boss you can just "Doom" in 3 turns is weaksauce.

Although I once Killed Jecht in 2 hits... from Lulu.

Speaking of final fantasy, the undead thing at the bottom of the lifa tree in FF9. I just threw phoenix downs at it until it died instantly.

Yup, and that Underwater Zombie Werm in FF10. That was fun.

Necron from FF9 was awesome though.

Ah, ok, interesting point about Onaga. There is a sure-fire way to beat him that works with everone. Just find the simplest quick hit (two or three hit) combo that your character has, and use that. You do that, block, you wait, do that, block, you wait. Do that, and you'll win. You can't block his flame attacks, sure, but I've tried it every other way and it doesn't work. This applies to Blaze in Mortal Kombat Annihlation and mostly to Moloch in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. Moloch is a special case as his close combat attacks have the longest fething range on earth, so getting close to him is had. The strategy still works, you've just got to be really damned quick on that block button.

If only this strategy worked on Shao Kahn in MK3 and MK2 (I think he was in MK2). I have never defeated Shoa Khan. It's just insulting that you have to first suffer through Motaro before getting to Shao Khan. Actually, Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks had the same problem. You've got a shared health metre, which has all sorts of problems of its own, and then the final boss fight is:

Shang Tsung
Kintaro
Shoa Kahn

You fight them one at a time with no breaks or save points in between, so by the time you hit Khan, assuming you're doing well, you've got may 1/3rd to 1/4th of your life left. If you die, guess what, you start the WHOLE thing again. We gave up after a few tries.

The final boss in Morrwind is astonishingly easy to kill at level 125. Although I doubt that many people will have leveled themselves that much before starting the story quests.

True, but again, it all depends on how you've been building up your characters. If you had a Ninja with Two Hands + Martial Arts, you're pretty much going to breeze through that (all you need to do is critically wound one of the assassins to end that battle). If you built up as a summoner, you're screwed unless you levelled up like crazy.

It was easy, but everything got easy the higher you went in Morrowind. I actually think i prefer that to Oblivion's way of upping the difficulty based on your level, such as the highwaymen you fight, though at a certain point even that didn't matter.

Heh, how about the Aries Zodiac guy?
You start the fight alone against him with your hero and he has this strong lighting sword attack at long range. >.>

ALL the bosses in FFT are terrible.
Either you're not prepared and have 99.9 (repeating of course)% chance of dying or you're prepared and you have 99.9 (repeating, of course)% chance of winning.
No middle ground.
They really should have made the story battles scale like the random ones do. That way you'd have all the skills you want but the battle would still be decent.

Except the part when your sycronization bar was always automatically downed to a minimum each time he appeared, making it more likely he would "kill" you with one unlucky hit, but even throwing a knife at him would refresh the bar before he got close.

It is annoying that your things don't level with you in Oblivion. If you did the main quests early you got really weak versions of all the "best" items in the game. If you get past about level 25-30 it is almost impossible to kill things, as they just keep on healing as fast as you can chop bits off them, pretty much no matter what weapon you use.

But I really liked being able to enchant all my gear with fortify strength 1-max (so I had a strength of about 500) and laying waste to everything in Morrowind. Feels like you have achieved something, unlike in Oblivion.

Shoot man I did the Corprus "cheat" instead. You just keep sleeping, making yourself stronger (and weaker) until you get as strong as you want. Then when you get cured, you keep the strength lol. I had an Orc that was strength 900 or something. It was insane, he broke weapons in one hit lol
