ZING!!!

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I think the optimal Lord with Mark of Khorne would be mounted on a juggernaught with a lightning claw and a plasma pistol. The juggernaught grants both +1S and +1T. Sure he is slow as molasses on a cold winter day but from a background perspective it fits the bill quite well.

I guess after DEEP STRIKING, you might want to make a PILE IN MOVE followed up with a SWEEPING ADVANCE. Meanwhile, while there's something going on with an INFILTRATION move, wrapped up with some RAPID FIRE action.

ANYWAYS!!!!!!

So what are we looking at here....

Khorne Lord on Juggernaut w/ Bloodfeeder: 3 base attacks, +1 for MoK, +1 for Juggernaut and +2D6 for Bloodfeeder, so barring a roll of a 1, you've got a minimum of 7 attacks and a max of 17 attacks, plus 1 attack if you get a charge off.

What does the mathhammer (?) say about the average attacks for that set up? Also, what other wargear would you give this character if you were going to build it?

Thanks all replies!

Well against MEQs its going to be 5 + 7 (average of 2D6) = 12 attacks (not charging) = 8 hits = 5.3 wounds = 5.3 dead Marines
Against something like a SM Captain, its 12 = 6 hits = 4 wounds = 2 unsaved wounds

As for other gear, I'd keep him really cheap. He's already a bit of a point sink.
A Combi-Melta would be the only thing that worth-while (to open up transports or scare a Dread) and thats still questionable.

I keep looking at the WFB Chaos Lord's Juggernaut and trying to figure out how best to rig a marine body on there, haha.

Im not opposed to slapping a Raptor jump pack on that Khorne Lord they came out with.

I was also thinking of making my own out of chaos marine parts, add the unhelmeted Terminator Lord head, slap the Bloodfeeder from above mentioned Khorne Lord, add the jump pack or if I go plastic, I figured I might try to get the winged possessed backpack, but since I already have a jump pack......haha.

Hey, do any of you guys have any pics of their Bloodfeeder or Lightning Clawed Khorne Lords with Jump Pack/Wings they would mind posting?

Thanks!

As others said, the DW sucks arse.

That being said, dual LC's or a PF (because he gets so many damn attacks) are both great. Just don't ever charge him into a squad with a PF unless your sure your gonna kill em off before he swings

Has anyone run a mix of Slaaneshi and Khornate units successfully? I suppose this is a pretty general/broad question, but more specifically I was looking at something like this:

HQ-
Khorne Lord: Mark of Khorne, Bloodfeeder, Jump Pack (maybe Combi-Melta)
Daemon Prince: Mark of Slaanesh, Lash of Submission

Elites-
No idea really...lol

Troops-
Noise Marines, x8 w/ Sonic Blasters, Rhino w/Havoc Launcher
Noise Marines, x8 w/ Sonic Blasters, Blast Master
Chaos Marines, x10 w/ x2 Meltas, Champion w/ Power Fist and Combi-Weapon.

Fast Attack-
No idea either....

Heavy Support-
Vindicator
Predator Destructor
Predator Destructor

Im open to suggestios as far as Elites and Fast go......I have 8 bikers that used to have the 3rd/4th Edition Mark of Khorne, but I think I can salvage them.

Anyways, I was looking to start putting a list together and all but the Preds Im pretty set on, and open to thoughts on the other.

This may belong in the Army List Forum now, I dont think I can move it though haha.

Thanks!

Why a plasma pistol?

And why oh why can the Jugger lord not ride in a Land Raider! DAMN YOU GW.

Yeah, I have gotten the feeling that the mounts were built specifically to ward off people who might have used them. Slaaneshi Calvary mount can't be used since we have no other calvary. The Jugger must walke, and so it shall die before it is useful. Palanquin is cool, but you're still instant-deathable. The Disc is the only useful one, but my lord is a Tzeentch HQ expensive.

On subject, I've done the math on the Bloodfeeder vs Lightning Claws. Lightning Claws are always better in an average game. Bloodfeeder should smack you in the face twice a game, if you get into an Assault on turn 3. You need those bursts of high attacks, not only to average out the times you roll low, but to balance the times you simply don't attack. The Lightning Claws will serve you better over an entire game.

A Lord of Tzeentch ain't that expensive. Just fifteen more points than a Lord of Khorne with a Jump Pack, five if that Lord has a Combi-Weapon.

More to the point the Lord of Tzeentch will be better protected, have the same number of attacks as the Lord of Khorne, and be more reliable with them.

Well, the Slaaneshi Mount does have one unit that has the same type: Spawn.
I"ve used a Lash Sorc on mount with Spawn.....was fun while it lasted....

If your looking for build ideas,
my bloodfeeder lord on jugger is simply the fantasy model with a bolt pistol and a normal beserker head,
with some SM heads on sticks, just for the sake of it.

The blood letter swords do look pretty tasty, im using one for my DP

for the jump pack lord with bloodfeeder, i'd use a basic SM jump pack with the 2 handed frost axe from the space wolf box.
