Yeah glory hogs is a pain in the ass. As a rule of thumb being forced to do anything is a bad thing. For instance target priority=sucks.

I ran them in a horde and didn't run into those issues. The games were always lost or won on the boyz. The Tankbustas did what no other ork could do, better than any other ork could do and nothing more.

On topic, yes, they devour 'Nids. They'll get one salvo, kill their target, then usually die to the return fire. However, it takes a lot of shooting to pull 15 guys in cover, so your opponent either doesn't make good and you waste another MC or you lose a whole lot less boyz.

24" shots often make you come closer to the enemy, thus resulting in abondonment of cover. Though Nids to often come to you. Still they will get cover from intervining models.

A Carnifex has 4 attacks.

I believe it takes 4 tankhammers to match the output of one PK nob vs. a Carnifex (both do about 2.2 wounds on the charge, if my math is correct). So the advantage of the PK Nob is that it keeps more rokkits in the mob. Which is significant, IMO.

Mounting TB in Battlewagons alleviates some of the issues with Glory Hogs. And if you have other vehicles, sometimes you can block LOS, etc. to help yourself out. Glory Hogs is an issue, but I've never found it to be crippling.

with Tankbustas you should deploy them correctly so the rule doesn't bit you.
