Man Card, now.
Gaga is unoriginal. A less talented Madonna wanna-be regurgitating her shtick.
Ktulhut wrote:TBH, I doubt she has much to do with any of it. She probably comes up with (or gets told by managers/producers) a vague theme and then a legion of artists and writers give her the illusion of creativity.
Research > assumption. Let's just bring back the "she's a man" rumor while we're at it
Orkeosaurus wrote:Wait wait wait wait, if Gaga is so creative, how come when asked to come up with a design for a monster she just makes a giant anglerfish?
(Also, Cannerus lost his man card when he started using lash princes. )
I wondered that one at first To be fair, she had a quote a while back about how what she did wasn't original, but taking existing things and combining them in new ways. Many of her outfits are made of clothes that already existed but get slightly altered or put with other things as an example. And I stopped running Lash Princes aeons ago when my entire local area Meched up T5 just sucks hard too against anything with a bolter equivalent.

BTW did she pop the bra with the assault rifles?
:personal fav:
Not exactly. She has quite the gun fetish for being as peace-promoting a person as she is though

Not a fan of GaGa,IMO she comes across like a mutated cross between Madonna,Wendy O Williams and Dale Bozzio.
However,it seems you enjoyed yourself at the concert, enjoyed the music and the show and that's what matters,if it's something that you like...feth what other people say.

I really want to go to a Lady Gaga show: everyone I know who went to the Toronto gig said it was awesome. Incidentally, what's with people comparing Lady Gaga to Madonna? She's more like Alice Cooper's grand-daughter, or perhaps a socially acceptable GWAR (no, not the local idiot, the kick-ass band).

Ironically Madonna and GWAR had a similar schtick:
GWAR sacrificed victims to the drum set...Madonna had the same done to her on-ramp...

I believe most of the comparisons to Madonna comes from the media attention GaGa gets,as well as the heavy usage of imagining and "Fashion" in her music.
I remember when Madonna came out twenty some years ago,and there are certain similarities,at least on a base level.

And he was shot down in a blaze of glory.....
All the joking aside, like everyone else I am glad you enjoyed yourself.
But still, GaGa......?

Poor you :( You had to go to a show of the human equiavelant of one of those hermit crabs that decorate their own house. That's what her outfits remind me of, she finds stuff and puts it on, regardless of what it is.

Some really odd costumes shown. Some i'd have rather NOT seen.

Bingo! I'm in there with the girl who got to meet her from the myspace constest! So cool!
These pics take me back to my RHPS cast days in the early '80's.
The crowd is chock full o' guyliner and hot babes who've replaced their inhibitions with crime scene tape and Victoria's Secret goodies. (And in my day it was duct tape and stuff from Fredrick's of Hollywood).
God love ya'...the more things change the more they stay the same...

I have no doubts There's a fine line between "outfit" and "costume" anyway which requires a lot of finesse to navigate. Some people just have more finesse than others

I'm glad you enjoyed the show. Live music always good... but...
Not really my cup of tea and the whole thing seems kind of over-the-top, but hey that's pop music for you.
It's a perfect formula put together by a board of directors (producers) and using some tramp-dressed chick with a kind-of-decent-voice as their advertising spokeswoman. Madonna got old, Britney went nuts, and so on... gotta find someone to fill the bubble-gum/trampy void, right?
I'm both chaotic and orderly. I value my own principles, and am willing to go to extreme lengths to enforce them, often trampling on the very same principles in the process. At best, I'm heroic and principled; at worst, I'm hypocritical and disorderly.
