Waiting for a turn - Observe opponent and hope to god he doesn't do what I think he's gonna do.

Waiting for game - Build lists or wait for a conversation to join as being the token "internet lurker" means I can't think of anything to talk about that would serve to anyone's interest.

I am mannered, I'm talking about how I lay down my respect.

Also, I'm talking about people within my gaming communities.

Most of the people, I get to know, since we're in a small area.

I could care less on what someone thinks about me, they are entitled to their very opinion, whether their view on me be wrong or not.

To state further, I never said I walked away, or didn't look at my opponent, I'm stating that I will text when they're taking to long, or at the beginning since not all people move hastily.

The respect issue is when I'm playing the game, outside of the game I'm a different person. I'm generally nice, and if I'm in a bad mood, I don't go and spread it.

When I think about it, this is my gaming area.

People I like. People who I have reasons not to like. Friends of people whom I don't like. People no one likes.

Waiting for game, and an empty table is available: Arrange my army into a threatening looking parade formation as a way to say: 'HI! I CAN PLAY! HEY LOOK OVER HERE!' without actually being that annoying.
Waiting for game, and no table is available: Flip through codex, flip through brb, shuffle points around in Army Lists, chat with people if I can, and observe other games. If it's just friendly games going on, and we're all just chatting, I'll jokingly place my Baneblade on the table when they aren't looking, and see how long it takes them to notice the giant tank sneaking up on them.

During game, my turn: Move as fast as I can, make my attacks, try to plan moves, joke around to try and make it an enjoyable game, and berate my models for being horrible horrible people.
During game, opponents turns: Observe, Make jokes about my Guardsmens' ineptitude at hiding behind a bush, and their cowardice, if it's an army I haven't played before, try to figure out what each one of the scary looking things on the other side of the table acutally do. Also, repeat the Baneblade stunt, explaining that it's my reinforcements if I get caught. I've gotten some amusing reactions with that one.....

And yes, I always put it in a place far away from the main fighting so it doesn't interfere with LoS, cover, or anything else.

You seem to be confusing the concepts of respect and manners, the latter being something you appear to be lacking in, reading your description above.

I don't think you realize, you don't have to respect people, for the sake of it.

That's just me, I was taught respect is something you earn, and well it seems they're right.

Because the people I don't respect, don't deserve it.

Goes both ways tho mate =) Does that mean I can assume you just another borderline slowed kid with bad skin and no social skills? And if I play you does that mean I can use my age/size adavantage to bully you? Or maybe just liberate you of your mobile? I mean why should I respect you because after all you havent earned it.

What is that? Don't tell me it's some demonic game.

Well, you know how Slannesh's number is 6 right? Well in the game you have 4-5 standard dice (d6). Your goal is to get all 6s.

You roll all the dice. For every 6 you get, you get to reroll one die and you get to reroll all duplicates. Keep all of your 6s and do your rerolls. If you do not have all 6s and cannot reroll, you lose. If you have gotten all 6s you win.

So, for example this hand is just rolled:

6,4,4,2,5 = reroll both 4s and either the 5 or 2.
rerolled 4s and 2:
6,6,3,1,5 = you got one 6, reroll one die
reroll the 1:
6,6,3,4,5
no ability to reroll, only 2 6s, a loss.

Easy and addicting. Will Slannesh claim you?

As someone of that generation (early 20's) I gotta say some people are worse than others. I can touch type, so i can read a sms and then respond and keep up a conversation. I have friends in their 30's with iPhone's who I've been having tea on a hot afternoon with and the have at times all sat there on their iPhones... playing games and facebooking! It's a person thing, and most people are...well..not exactly considerate of others at all times .

Bit off topic but 10 base, +5 for magic mithril chain shirt, +3 for magic heavy shield, +6 for max dex makes 24 + assorted magic gear like amulet of natural armor or ring of deflection, assuming only +1 bonuses on armor and shield, and that he whored dexterity? Could also work it out with the right item combo and say...full plate.

Did I also mention, I became a pimp in the game? I somehow commandeered a Halfling prostitute.

I'm the kind of person, who will sit down and text while waiting for my opponent to finish his turn. I might seem uninterested in playing, but really I'm watching every move. Hopefully this places a negative effect on them and causes them to play with less skill. Of course really I am interested, it's just I rather text the girl I'm talking to, rather than care what the nerd on the other side is rolling.

That or I'll talk to my friends about uncomfortable subjects aloud. I usually try to lay down some sort of psychological warfare. Unless my opponent is one of my friends, then we know we can't troll each other. (Well only 2 )

I also enjoy stacking dice... this is a hobby of mine. I did this watching my friend play a match, of course using the small blast template, and the corner with no action.

Gah! Damn 14 year olds.

Most people that play this game also enjoys the social aspect of it you know, like talking to the person on the other side of the table, joking around etc. Using this kind of "psycological warfare" to win seems incredibly stupid, and would probably leave you with fewer and fewer opponents. The only reason it might work, is that the other person looses interest in the game and just goes through the motions (if he is too polite to just pack up). You wouldn't get a second game out of me with this kind of behaviour.

Dice stacking is okay though. Keeps hands busy while you watch your opponent and talk with him.

In addition to talking with my opponent and stacking dice, I usually jinx his dice (my most regular opponent is starting to think it actually works )

How do you go about Jinxing?

Also, I win pretty easily without being a jerk on purpose. Only problem I have is my friend's Space Wolves army, but I like the wolves they're challenging.

When waiting for a turn I generally just watch what's happening on the table and figure out ways to counter my opponent's tactics (you know what you're meant to do ). Although I'm not above mucking about or gently mocking one certain member of the groups dice rolls (seriously 9 times out of 10 everything he rolls no matter what dice he's using will be ones and twos unless it's a Ld check then it's fives or sizes).

I have been known to cause smoking/drinking breaks during my turns simply due to the occasional insane numbers of dice that are needed for Dark Elf shooting or when I throw my Corsairs at something.

No other people take a break. As for the number of dice I roll it's not actually that many (50 shots a turn and 21 attacks from the Corsairs), it's actually more of a running joke from a 2 a side game in which everyone forgot to bring dice so we had to scrounge as many of the store dice as possible. We found 5 (plus a scatter and artillery), needless to say my shooting phase was rather painful for everyone else and they've mocked me mercilessly ever since. The Corsairs just seem to trigger breaks because people really hate watching 21 attacks all hit (gotta love rerolling to hit) and most of them wounding.

While waiting for a game...I stroll around the FLGS wishlisting all the items I wish I had the $$$ to buy.

Waiting for my turn - the guys I game with are all really friendly, so we are usually carrying on a conversation that lasts the duration of the game, so there's never really a "waiting" time. When I find myself waiting, I'll usually just sit there thinking about the next turn, maybe once per game I'll excuse myself to use the facilities.

You think that's bad, have you ever seen what happens when The Dwellers Below (every model must pass a strength test or die) is cast on to a 200 strong Clan Rat horde? It took 10 minutes just to count all the casualties and another 5 to remove them. A total of 94 Rats were killed by one spell.

I'm talking about the complaining part of course, that would be just be awkward with people I don't know.
