After seeing that, I am SO glad I already bought the Sewers. Here's to hoping it really does release in August!

Kingdom Death Fanatic. Dark Eldar: Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Dark Elves: Allegiance to the Black Crown. Also, Masons, Cygnar, and Legion of Everblight. All unnamed.

When we saw it last year for the first time everyone very exited about it... then at a expo (gencon?) they previewed it and it was a huge fiasco lots of problems with cardboard etc ... one year latter things do look better but I will wait to see some reviews.

Loving the robots. Other figures, not so much.

The terrain is about as good as you can get with cardboard - there's a place for cardboard terrain, but I personally find it too flimsy and fragile. But if someone made a plastic version of that sewer system, I'd buy it in a flash...

Im wondering if anyone queries the masters of these sculpts before they go into production anymore.

The poses are jerky and awkward on many.

While the larger culpts are spot on the concept artwork, some of these look slapped together from existing parts.

I love the look of those sewers for all sorts of skirmish games, from Malifaux to Necromunda.

Does anyone know the price point on this product?

Actually, on the Wyrd boards, Eric said that basically what you see in the pics is 1.5 boxes. Which I think is pretty amazing. So I buy 2 boxes ($100) and have more than enough (meaning I can switch stuff out) for a fully-terrained, modifiable Malifaux table? Yes, please.

I'm super-excited about Terraclips. I have little enough time to model and paint as it is; there's no way I can make terrain, too!

Actually, he said he used 1.5 boxes because he needed more of specific parts for this build-up, having a lot of left overs from parts not used.

Thanks for the info, guys.
(Preface: STILL a huge fan or Wyrd and malifaux)

Then, I'm extremely displeased with these images, if they're meant to be "official" pics.

Any pics they put out should specifically be ONE KIT in size, so you can see exactly what your $50 gets you.

I'd probably pay $50 far a table full of Malifaux terrain, but I wouldn't buy TWO boxes at that price.

They are preview pics in the forum with that info attached, the official pics on the cover show less material as appropriate.

Another update:
http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9842
World Works Games wrote:We finally had the opportunity to pull together a layout using all 3 products this past week. Below you'll see a bit of Streets, a dash of Buildings and a snortel of Sewers (I don't recommend snorteling sewers!)

USAGE NOTES:

Streets: In terms of the Streets used in the below photos, what you see there is less than one box. There are a few city infrastructure walls from Streets scattered throughout, elevating buildings and generally supporting the ramped street section. We hope to have more streets dedicated shots later next week.

Buildings: The Buildings used in the overview shot represents just under 2 boxes. There remained a healthy mix of roofing, walls, tiles, ladders, stairs in the left overs pile.

Of course, this is all sitting on top of the Sewers layout which we previewed for you last week

HOW MUCH IS IN EACH BOX?

Below these photos you'll find a breakdown of contents for each product which will help you determine your mileage. Because TerraClips allows you the freedom to design any layout, as high or as low as desired, it can be challenging to sum up what you can do with the product. What we're showing you here is where you can ultimately take your layouts with just a couple boxes of each product (with a ton of leftovers mind you).

We hope to further clarify how far you can push an individual box of content in coming weeks. You can expect a long and thorough range of overview support in the form of tutorials and general community support as we move forward.

We'll get there eventually

DON'T FORGET TO ORDER CLIPS!

Remember; clips are NOT included with the core product so don't forget to order your TerraClips Connector Combo Pack. Each connector pack comes with 40 t-clips, 40 i-clips and 40 L-clips and retails for $18.00 USD. We used approximately 1 box per product to achieve the large layout we're showing (so about 6 clip boxes total). There's nothing more frustrating than running out of the right clips so always air on the side of more clips.

I would buy a malifaux counter set the second it went up.

You caught our little secret bonus. We've included Malifaux tokens in every set which match the underlying terrain textures. There's even blank token punch outs that you can use for basing your miniatures so that they match the terrain.

The neat thing about them is that they are general enough to be used in other games as well.

Wow... that's REALLY tempting actually. I was a little put off by having to buy clips separately at first, but really it is a good way to go so you aren't losing some clips and not being able to put together stuff without buying another pack. 50$ per and 20$ for clips is a bit salty, but then again 120-140$ bucks for two boxes, two sets of clips and a table full of really, REALLY nice looking paper terrain that is so modular is pretty darned good. As Tim points out these would be really good for Warmachine/Hordes, or Mordheim, DnD... damned near anything that needs not really futuristic, not early medieval terrain.

Well played Wyrd. Well played indeed!

OH, and matching token and base inserts? BRILLIANT!

Well, you can do some searching around the internet. FRPGames is pre-ordering the boxes at 40, and the clips at 14.39 (us).

So for everything displayed so far: (1.5 sewers, 1 street, 2 housings (each one with lots left over)) in the pictures, you are looking at 5 boxes, and 5 clips. thats a roughly 300 investment. However, 200 for 1 of each box will create alot of cool layouts.

ya, i could have sworn their original listings had each of these coming with a pack of clips myself. i really like these for what they are, but having to pay separably for clips basically puts these at about $70 usd a box which is really pushing it for me.
i really want to like these to and they are filling a void style wise that i like, but..

*edit* although now that i think about it..i rem saying to myself when looking at the listings before, how the hell are they putting a full pack of clips inside that thin box?..lol

Yeah, that's super-lame. I'll still buy some; that $18 isn't going to price me out of the product, but still, the principle is: you don't get everything you need in one box to put it together. That sucks.

I can understand selling extra connectors for more complex designs, or even using extra connectors with what's in the box to enhance what's already there, but to not actually include the basic means to assemble the kit within the kit itself... that seems a bit harsh... especially when 'clips' is part of the product's name.

I find 50usd for paper terrain way to expensive and 20 usd for clips??? are they gold clips? Sorry to seem so harsh but the material here is not on this level of prices... No way I will get these... I don't care how cool the prints are but they are just that prints... Oh and paper for decorating bases got to be the most crappy base system on the planet...

So, for more than the retail cost of a box, you can get what (I and others feel) should have come in the box in the first place?
Not impressed.

I've got to reiterate... Almost everything Wyrd has done, up to this point, has impressed or pleased me. This is the first thing they've done that I have any negative feelings about (I'm not quite yet including the "no Malifaux RPG disappointment" that I have. LOL). Still, though... It's a pretty big disappointment for me.

As for no clips in the box - they're doing it that way because some people wanted to be able to just glue the kits together instead of using the clips.

So, seperate kits for the clips and the terrain allows people who want to do that to get hold of the kit at a lower price point.

The clips being seperate also allows you to build up a library of terrain, but only needing a certain amount of clips.

They felt that if they included the clips in the box, you would eventually end up with far too many clips that you've paid money for but aren't using.

In general, the product is targeted at people who don't want to have to print/cut-out/ stick-together their own cardstock terrain and are willing to pay for that.

The only issue with this that they seriously need to sort out is their pre-orders from people who ordered when the box still clearly stated "clips included".

That won't fly. They'll have to give out a free pack to the people who pre-ordered, or their reputation amongst their most loyal fans (the ones that pre-ordered and parted with cash a year ago) is going to be butchered.
