All you need to do is quit smoking, brush 4x a day for a month and then we can mack, maybe.... No tongue though, I'm not a whore.

The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

Or at least resentment towards someone who was.

I have issues with people who cry when someone else is smoking or using tobacco in any form. I see that a lot, especially with the new smoking bans in SA and the constant tax hikes.

Any use of tobacco can cause health issues, BUT it depends on what you're doing and how frequently you use it. If you smoke a pack or more a day like my Grandpa did for 20 years you're going to probably end up on oxygen tank.

Yeah, we get it, smoking is bad. Guess what? Being obese is bad too. People in good physical condition have a tendency to live longer. Where's the fat tax? Why aren't we banning people from eating fast food? Why isn't the government giving tax breaks or some form of incentive for people to work out? There's a bunch of pro-vegan/Vegetarian that love to attack fast food, but fast food isn't the cause of the so called obesity epidemic.

In conclusion, yes I get annoyed when some person with their own physical problems harasses someone over their decision to smoke/chew/dip/shootnicotinedirectlyintotheirbloodstream. I also get very slightly annoyed when Ahtman tries to get off on a rant because he can't read a post without try to read between the lines and twist what people say.

So basically you're upset that I called you on your hypocrisy and that upset you (or in internet parlance, U Mad), and TexasInstrument is on the nose with you having some issues to work on.

And let me quote my original post.

"I love pretentious <bleeps> that insist on criticizing other's life choices. If you're overweight, have no endurance, and/or can't lift your own body weight than you have zero reason to bash smokers.

Remove the plank from your eye before you try to remove the dust from others."

Now, I have a strong feeling that you fail at sarcasm forever. Which is quite sad because my second statement is a clear reference to a Biblical verse.

"You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Matthew 7:5.

Now that you have a reference point it's obvious that when I say 'love' I mean 'hate'.

To sum it up. I said I don't like hypocrites. Especially the fat ones who get off on bashing tobacco users. Yes, I have a problem with people who are overweight mainly because it is incredibly easy to stay in relatively decent shape (ie stop drinking soda). Do I get on their case about it? No. But the second that dip can comes of my pocket someone says, "That's bad for you, that causes cancer!"

Hey, that's your 4th soda today and you're already 30 pounds overweight. We all have vices, get off my back bro.

I am down to two/three smokes a day for the past three weeks. I've been smoking half a pack/full pack a day for over a decade since highschool. It is very difficult to quit. I am doing pretty well although posting this is making me want to smoke.

I recently quit dip (did about a can a week for a year) and luckily I was able to just quit with no relapse. Now to get off the Monster...

Best of luck to you, I've never been big on cigarettes so I don't know hard it is to quit them. Slowly cutting back seems to be the best route.

I gave up smoking about a year ago. After smoking for 15 years. It's weird...

I seem to have beaten it. It's over! I don't want a cigarette any more. I don't feel like a cigarette. In fact, the idea of smoking makes me feel kind of nauseous and disgusted. At last I'm free.

And yet... Being a non-smoker doesn't really suit me. I don't really know who I am any more. I find myself thinking that maybe I should take up smoking again, not because I miss cigarettes at all... It's because I miss myself.

No one ever warns you about that part. I always figured that once I beat the addiction I'd be happy, but I'm not. I find my self in some weird smoking limbo. I don't really want to be a smoker, but at the same time I don't know how to be anything else. I feel very lost. Kind of like Brooks in Shawshank Redemption... I just want to be back where things make sense (even if it is a bad place).

Sometimes I accompany other people on their cigarette breaks, I figure even if I don't smoke, I can still enjoy standing out in the cold. I always thought that would be difficult or embarrassing, but half the time I don't think people even notice that I'm not smoking. I don't really notice either.

Another strange thing is never having a lighter any more. Lighters are super useful... But I don't really have the motivation to keep possession of one nowadays. I'm going to feel like such a doofus if I end up lost on a moor some day, and then die of hypothermia because I quit smoking and wasn't able to make a fire.

To be honest being a non-smoker is kind of boring. Since I quit I feel like I'm boring. I start to wonder if maybe I was always boring, and just didn't realise it because I was too caught up in thinking I was a cool rebellious smoker (or something like that). Maybe all this time I've just been a person of minimal character, hiding behind a cigarette.

Or maybe I'm just unhappy because I don't desperately need anything any more. I used to think that the endless craving was the worst thing in the world, especially when you run out of cigarettes. There have been times when I've walked miles in the freezing cold and the middle of the night just to buy a pack. But now I wonder if maybe the worst thing is not wanting anything. No craving, nothing to strive for, no reward, just emptiness. Like a spoiled child who gets everything they want but instead of being satisfied just becomes indifferent.

I will admit I've previously felt uneasy around non-smokers. Bunch of complaining little pu**ies, with their nice smelling clothes and homes, and their health, and their jogging. I always had a suspicion that deep down non-smokers had no souls... now I've become one I'm sure of it. But given the choice between a slow painful death and living without a soul... It's a tough one.

You americans. You don't know anything about 'tax' on cigarettes. What do you pay, a dollar a pack? It's like when you complain about the cost of petrol. You make me laugh.

Not since the early 90's has it been near there i don't think. Not on sale I think a basic pack of Marlboro's is in the $6 area, theough usually I think they go fro about $5 a pack, give or take you area.

Not sure on the exchange rate, but a pack of fags in the UK it about £6 now, which must be about $10.

That is insanely cheap. You need to take out a loan to buy a packet of cigarettes in Britain.

I think this is a key contributor to why I don't smoke. I can afford to play wargames, or I can afford to smoke. It's one or the other.

I quit a few years ago. After 10 years of smoky smoking I decided to give it all up. Wasn't easy, but I made it and now just smelling a cigarette makes me wonder wtf I was doing for those 10 years.
Do I feel better? Yeah I do, I feel great.
But it did lose me most my friends as they all smoke and don't like visiting me any more since I make them smoke outside. And I don't like visiting them any more because their smoke now makes me feel sick. :/

I guess the best thing to do is to never start in the first place. Or have nicer friends that are willing to put off their smoking for a few hours until you are leaving.

I am so healthy... and lonely. :(

I smoked 20 a day since I was 16 until I was 28 or so, then I went to my local GP and got prescribed some stuff called Champix. After multiple failed attempts to give up, I quit full stop with these pills after a month. No relapses since and absolutely no desire to go back to it.

I feel better, I like the feeling of actually having money in my pocket rather than staring at my bank balance and working out how many fags I can afford until next pay day. When I was a smoker, I was almost always broke because, partly due to the insane cost of cigarettes here in the UK, I was always scrabbling around to pay for that next pack of smokes.

I have heard it said that there is nothing more militant anti-smoking than an ex-smoker. Can't say that is true for me; I don't object to people smoking - the only thing I won't tolerate is people smoking near my daughter. I hate walking around certain parts of town where some people insist on surrounding their heads in a permanent fog - it isn't particularly pleasant to be around or have to walk behind that, less so for a small child.

That's a bad situation, if you quit you won't want to kiss her or anything as she'll stink and taste like a toilet brush.

I smoked from 15 to 30, I tried to give up once but after 3 month got drunk and smoked again, then they banned smoking in UK pubs.

I gave up again and haven't smoked since, 5 years without it. Don't miss it at all now and am surprised just how bad it smells on people.

I also watched my great uncle die of lung cancer, it was horrific and painful and wretched. I don't recommend it.

!!! Well I don't pay that much attention to the prices of cigarettes but that's incredible. Still cheaper than smoking finecast though. Mmm, all that resiny goodness.

Anyway, that's nearly $12.

$5 is nothing.
