Middle means safe, and fun lies in the risk. So as I said before:

I guess this dare covers the extremum of us who believe that leak will be almost identical with final version and those whose say that almost all of that is rubbish and no way to be true.
All the other guesses are a safe middle-ground Unless neither of these extremes happens - someone is going to eat the shoe. And I bet it will be pretty obvious who's right once we see the final version. Otherwise, we can have the middle-ground discussion then, but for now - let's stick to what's hot. It's about the jackass bet, not predicting future and measuring percentage

I think it is real, but at the same time I think it was very much a WIP and possibly even scrapped by GW after staffing changes; therefore, I don't have a strong opinion as to if it will be very close to the actual release of the 6th rules. I guess I'll vote real though.

6th Edition will be epic but the rules will be written by He Shall not Be Named so it will be hated by people online.

And if they are, then I'm sure it'll read like this :

THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE!

I see what you did there.

I voted that they're legit, but I'd like to add that I think they're probably a fairly early test version. I'm sure the basics will be mostly the same, but there will be alot of tweeking before the full published version is released though.

Now to figure out how to make shoes out of bacon!

Enjoy
And I'm in the real catagory. I do think this is a playtest version, so I will not accept this as a hoax if that is the case. Unless someone gets me real bacon shoes, then they will be eaten. :p

Well it's Kinda a wash and non-confirmed, nor does it meet the standards of the post which is waiting till offically infact many people could back of this dare as obvious things were dropped like turn order and evasion according to this source. Basically it was like previous posters said "not enough to be substantial and too much to be insubstantial

Well, chances for me ordering a shoe dish just got much higher

Anyways - let's wait for final version.
If evasion, 5+ cover downgrade or new DS rules are out it will be soooo lame it hurts :/ I have a rotting feeling 6th edition might get plummeted back into 5th + minor changes :/ And it was looking so good.

EDIT:
The reason I don't want to jump any new highorse is that certain things might change in the last moment. Perhaps Evasion will suddenly get back on the table. Perhaps new movement rules will suddenly drop out. Who knows? I won't close this dare without hardcover 6th Ed Rulebook in my hand

No amount of Louisiana Hot Sauce is gonna make my Vans (suede) taste good enough to eat.

But I'll weigh in that the leak is legit, just like 4 years ago.

I'll eat a Brussels sprout if I'm wrong.

honestly from the sound of it the leak was ... viable but not accurate they already dropped alot of the revisions of this edition, turn sequence, squad by squad activations, evasion ect all look to be listed as not coming in which to me are some of the biggest things of the edition supposedly. New charts new rules no functions. I am not sorry to see it go however i didn't want to completely revamp game style. However certain changes ARE in effect or at least highlighted as probable.

Squad wound allocation = no remark, considering it's the biggest cheese out there i am betting it gets the book like the leak says

Selecting special models = no remark, probably can look foreward to this happening (a good counter to long fangs at last)

we can probably look to weakened cover as a reality...

I'd like to see CC remain more or less the same as it was working just fine in the past but i bet alot of that is coming over too.

so basically i would say no one is suppose to eat their shoes based off of this.

Well looks like some of us will have to eat their shoes after all...
Someone interested in making fast list of what part of "leak" made it to 6th edition, so we can judge?

I tried and tried to get people interested in the pancake rules, but they fled like lemmings to Warmahordes instead. However, on launch day, rarely-seen 40K players came out of the woodwork. Phil at Tabletop actually played his first 40K game since second edition! I'm not eating any shoes, because I stated clearly that I didn't care whether or not the leakhammer was real or not. Now that the official BRB is out, I'm playing it and that's that. My cats do terrible things to my shoes, it's probably a moral threat and a bio-hazard to put them on my feet, let alone eat them.

I was wondering when this train was going to roll back into town.

My copy is still in the mail (feth you GW Direct!!) so I'm still curiuos how similar the rules sets are. Not too much from what I've seen around the www.
