Wow. Just...wow, that's pretty extreme. Takes WAAC (and TFG) to a whole new, worship of the dark gods level.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

I've had glue on my finger nail for close to a week now, does anyone know how to get glue off fingernails? it looks like I've had one of my nails done at a salon.

Whilst trying to gut something from my first ever Flames of War model I sliced my thumb with a stanley knife, nothing too bad though, just let the blood cover the cut and carried on... I kind of figured that as long as the blood was covering the cut it would be clean and relatively safe. Sadly I think it left a scar.

Oh! I almost glued either my ring finger or my middle finger to the palm of my hand by accident when I got the glue on my nail. Making Ork Nobz is fun but dirty work! Atleast I did a good job!

Rub it off while running it under warm water.

I've used a stanley knife for twelve years in this hobby and given myself a few papercuts with it.

The once time I ran out of blades for it and tried to use a 'proper hobby knife', I slashed my finger open to the point where it needed three stitches. We remember it fondly, because I was talking to my partner on gtalk at the time (she was in class), and all I had time for before rushing off to patch myself up was 'oops, brb'.

Oh! Then there's the time I had to borrow someone's knife at the store, and the tip of the blade snapped off and scored a 2cm long scratch in my glasses before sticking in the wall behind me. ^^; Thank the gods for short sightedness or I'd probably have lost the eye instead.

One day while trimming flashing, I made a smart remark to something my wife said in the next room. Jokingly, she threw a d20 at me. It hit the hand holding the knife, and I sliced finger pretty good when I jumped. My FLGS now has a strict 'no throwing things' rule.

More recently, I punctured my thumb on the tip of an HK missile while painting it.

Almost all the pain from modelling I've had are superglue and hobby knife related. I've glued myself to both myself and several models. I've glued myself to the hobby knife.

And I've had several overcutting incidents where I bury the tip or the full blade into a finger. Never completely cut a chunk off, but left many a thin white scar on my fingers.

I've sliced my fingers and thumb a bunch of times with a variety of tools. I got the worst cut from the hobby saw. I was so focused on getting a nice straight, clean cut that I didn't notice my finger in the path. I held the cut closed with superglue.

I've been attacked by my own Trygons a bunch of times trying to take them out of the figure case. They have so many spiky bits.

The worst mental injury came when my mother accidentally knocked my Caestus Assault Ram off my table and one of the wings broke off.

I once killed a suit by spilling superglue on it when I decided to "just stick this one thing together" when I got home from work before I got changed.

I glued myself to every single metal Tyranid model I own at least once. Super glue and I don't exactly get on too well. I've never cut myself with a blade though, so I count myself lucky considering the silly stuff I do.

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

Either burning my hand with a glue gun or getting cut with a hobby knife.

Generic knife finger cuts like everyone else.

still thinking broken toe and a concussion to the head wins.

When I was first getting into the hobby I used an X-Acto knife to cut everything off the sprue.

Several minor to major cuts on my hands later, I now use hobby clippers.

I'll also second the injury my bank account has suffered to the hobby.

I once managed to fall on top of a boat load of spare bitz and scenery, and my left hand landed on top of a sharp spire on top of a 40k ruin, it went almost the entire way through my hand, but luckily missed anything vital. In a rather odd display of resilience, my hand barely bled at all, and after a quick bandaging and three days of not using my hand, the entire thing repaired itself.

Don't usually hurt myself much, most annoying thing is I had superglue on my fingers, rubbed my lips and suddenly had glued my mouth together. That wasn't fun to get apart.

Me and a friend were working on cutting foam for scenery and his knife slipped, nice long cut across his wrist and down his arm. I learned a few new swaers that day.

How do you break your toe dropping less than 5lbs on it?

Evileyes wrote:Superglued my finger's together for a full week. When they finally came apart, I had a chunk of one finger, still stuck to the other, and not only was it horrid to look at, it was chuffing agony. xD

Hard to look pretty, with bit's of your own flesh stuck to you.

That's a lot of superglue...a lot...sounds made up

This I believe and is the worst accident I've heard of outside of hobby knife cuts that required significant stitches.
