I just set up my entire Ultramarine army on a 6x4 table to take some pics.

These are the Space Marine apoc formations I own

Battle Company (4th Company)
Masters of the Chapter
Predator Assassin Squadron
Ancients Assault Force
and I'm 70% complete on the 1st company formation.

For more pics feel free to check them out over on the http://www.thepainteddragon.co.uk/forum/ or go straight to my photobucket account http://s74.photobucket.com/albums/i278/Gareth_tyranids/

These are very beautifully painted models considering just how many there are.

I have 2 more basecoated on my shelf. I wasn't going to put half painted models in that pic though. Would have spoilt it.

I second that.
Finally someone knows that the crew of the vehicles should be in red.
Anyways, awsome work to paint all those smurfs

The crew are techmarines

I know literally zilch about spacemarines to be honest. So I'm just going to assume techmarines are red then nod my head and smile like I understand.

How long did that take you?? Because I'd imagine combining the quantity of results with the quality of the results would take a very, very long time... Astounding work either way.

Could you maybe do a little tutorial for the weathering on your vehicles?

@Bloody Handed God: Techmarines have the majority of their armor painted the rust-red color of the Mechanicus, symbolizing the unity between them and the chapter.

No pity!
No remorse!
No fear!

Lovely army, and nice to see the high standard maintained throughout, even for the masses of normal marines. Impressive.

How long have you been working on these? The army looks great. I really dig the Storm Shields on your assault marines.

The problem with playing against your army, would it would take an hour just to stop admiring that work you did on those minis. Seriously thats one of the nicest fully painted armies Ive seen.

Good job!
Usually when I hear of people doing Ultrasmurfs, I think that they're way too over done, but still respect their decision. In this case I say I am throughly impressed. Great paint job, especially considering how many models you have there. I hope that A) you spent many years on that, and didn't do it all in one, and B) that you are a GW employee and took advantage of the discount, and painting time that employee's seem to have.

PS I can only wish I could paint that well.

Fantastic army. It's a rare treat to see such a large army painted to such a high standard. Thanks for sharing.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
