Just one question, why have they sculpted it with the middle finger longer than all the rest on the hands? It's just begging for somebody to convert it so that it's giving your opposition the finger haha haha

Well its plastic so that right there already makes me like it. They gave the option to have wings which is a huge deal. Finally we can stop making our own plus they look pretty decent. But to nit pick at it. 3 diff weapons? awesome! however..the 2 swords look allot alike. If they had make them look allot more different from each other it would be about perfect. Plus now since its plastic people don't have to have 2 of the same looking HQ running around.

There is one bad thing.. I mean as far as GW prices go, it's fine, but £20 is a bit much.. stupid pocket-money thefts..

Between the new Daemon Prince and the plastic Bloodcrushers, now I'm tempted to start a Chaos Daemons army for 40K. At least the Daemons still have a little flavor in their Codex.

I like the options and think it's a nice looking model; however, I'm just not feeling the wings for some reason...

Looks like i picked the right time to start playing, the old metal daemon prince looked horrible IMHO and i was originally planning to convert a bloodthirster into one (with noobie skills of mine)

I'm not a huge fan of the heads available. Somehow they just seem a little cartoony to me. Other than that I love the kit! As though I needed another reason to switch to daemons.

I think the new kit is awesome. My only issue is that the 40k specific "claw arms" are not holding any CC weapons. I will probably use the claw arms anyway but I might have to make the model hold a CC weapon just in case they bring back wargear rules for Daemon Princes again. This leaves a player with 2 choices. Either a) use the fantasy arms or b) covert the 40k arms to hold CC weapons.

I can see a big market for extra legs and feet. Would it have killed them to put at least one extra set of them in the box? 3 bodies, 3 head, a bunch of arms and only one set of legs?

Yeah, I would have liked more marine looking legs as I am planning to make a 40K DP that looks distinctly like a former marine. I am not a fan of the naked DP with skirt and wings look that GW is a fond of.

I agree with two points brought up;

1) The heads. I was wondering if it was only me, but I guess not. The faces are just leering to the point of insanity, and it is just annoying. They look like fething clowns after a really bad gig.

2) The legs - Some more chaos marine like legs would've been nice, and the fact that you only get a single pose is annoying. Bit like the old metal one, the DP was hunched over IMO, and I would've liked it to be at its full hight.

Everything looks too... boxy...

Me? I'll definitely be trying to get one of the old metal DP's for the simple reason of the Head and Legs, and why upon ascension to deamonhood did the esteemed chaos worshipper decide to throw his Power Armoured trousers away but kept the Pauldrons? Just makes me think of a deamon prince with Alan Carr's voice saying "Well the skirt gives me better freedom of movement and the shoulder pads accentuate my shoulders". The forementioned Deamon Princess is also carrying a pink bag

Maybe one day when I feel up to crafting leg armour for it but not yet...

I actually love it. I've already pre-ordered damn them, if onlt they were £15 i'd get loads of them! The head on the middle picture looks stupid though, wont be using that one!

They look great but I have already two for my CSM army.
So I'm not buying them.

I plan to buy one of these and convert it , looks much better than that crap metal one , at first i thought i was going to have to buy the wings sepretly .

I've already got 2 DPs for my CSM but I figure this would make a pretty good generic greater daemon so I'll probably get one.

I have 7 Daemon Princes...with 7 more planned...I really have no wish to involve these models as I scuplt my own.

The faces are bleh and the feet are fugly IMO. Wings are passing and the weapons are iffy.

When I saw this new kit, I went out and bought an old DP. It's not a bad kit, but I do like the older one better.

I agree, I mean I prefer the old DP kit (if only he could stand up straight!) and if I could find a seller for some spare wings from this kit..

As for the mariney legs question, because this is a fantasy and 40k model, they can't lean towards the 40k legs that wouldn't fit into WHFB, but they really should have but in an extra set of legs to make up for it, oh well.

That would've been +£5 to the price then.

I think I prefer these legs to the Spess Mehreen legs, personally... and I think I prefer the WHFB arms to the 40k clawed arms.

I may buy this, assemble it in a WHFB fashion with limited to no CSM parts and use it in the 40k Chaos Daemons army I'm planning.

At least it'll translate well to WHFB if I decide to use it in that context. Just gotta swap out the base.
