Maybe not even possessed; could just be a corrupting disease since many of them still seem to have their bionics attached and those would have either turned to flesh or become more fully merged in a possession case. Though that big guy with the cleaver might be made of the entire kitchen staff so…

The most awful terrain set ever produced by GW.

I once thought that til I bought one set, then I bought a second one. Nothing else like it in existence. For anyone on the fence, the Killzone is totally worth it. It looks to have the same contents as the original Deathworld Forest box which was USD$130. I bought my original sets on sale for about the price of the Killzone sets (USD$80) and I was quite happy with it. The Deathworld terrain almost always gets put out on my table for any sort of outpost related mission

Likely White Dwarf or even free download like they did with the Shadespire AOS models. Truthfully they could have released a "Gang" dataslate for Chaos and Imperial forces using the Necromunda models.

The Farstriders and Steelheart's Champions are in the current Stormcast Eternals book.

I thought the Rogue Trader video was pretty fun. I liked the possessed crewman laying on the beach with an umbrella, and the crew and the dog playing fetch.

I'm definitely looking forward to the boxed set.

I never really liked the Deathworld terrain until I saw it at the local GW store. It's a lot more impressive in person.

The video was fun indeed - makes me look forward to the box more than the minis themselves, almost (more fond of the Rogue Trader crew than the possessed fellows). The art looks like it was done by Sarah Kaiser, who’s doing a lot of WarCom fun art bits (and draws Eagle Ordinary, a Guardsmen webcomic).

deathworld terrain looks very lacking in my opinion, no multiple levels and looks a bit dull.

I was hoping and am still hoping they will put out a catachan kill team.

-Pretty sure the Chaos guys are Gellerpox mutants, who seem to come in a variety of fun mutated forms. The fluff behind how they have been infused with Chaos just seems like splitting hairs.

-I've followed this release pretty closely and never heard GW ever mention there wouldn't be demons in Kill Team.

-I hope my local store will have the new Deathworld set terrain painted up so I can see it in person. Because it looks just awful in GW's pictures. Maybe it would look better with less ridiculous color choices, but I haven't really even seen pictures of it from hobbyists the way I do other terrain. Probably because not many people ever bought it.

-I guess the Rogue Trader announcement puts an end to the Slaugth Truthers.

There were plenty of people saying that they weren't Nurgle and were just mutated.

Hahahahaaaa…. No. You don’t just swap around schedules involving the logistics of hundreds of thousands of individual pieces like that. The fact that a real box was in the wild means they were already ramping up for full production and someone snuck a photo of one of the test pieces (sprues get packed in a certain order to maximise space efficiency in the box; they don’t always get it right first time. Also, the pickers and packers have to be trained too), probably against an NDA and possibly an instant dismissal offence. If they get found out.

Mutants, although it wouldn't shock me if the leader model ends up actually having been possessed by a Daemon.

Hopefully this is a precursor to a full Lost and Damned/Renegades & Heretics/Chaos Mutants 'dex. GW rarely puts this stuff out in a vacuum.

The box set seems short of content also.. with the main box set we got 8 sprues of terrain; 2 sprues of figures, map board, tokens, book and dice.

Its sound like rogue trader will be just a few items, Heroes Sprue, Mutant Sprue and a single equipment sprue, the boards maybe a special campaign
book and the new rule book. So this will be a smaller box set?? Sounds smaller than even the kill zone boxes.

The Nurgle part is definitely bigger than a normal 10 man infantry sprue. It has 4 "ogres", 3 human sized, 4 midgets and at least 12 insect gribblies by my count.

Never has an avatar matched up so perfectly with a post...though it would be nice if this was testing the waters.
Genestealer cult has definitely opened the gates for hybrid armies, no pun in intended.

They haven't announced anything, they just didn't put Daemons as a faction in the core manual.

Yeah, terrain is truly atrocious. Catachan Kill-Team? There are no special rules for famous IG home worlds in Kill-Team and I wouldn´t bet on it that this will change anytime soon. It is more likely though that Catachans will get their own 40K codex back in 9th.

Yeah, and that's why GK have special anti-daemon rules in KT. Oh, wait...

Putting non-core rules in that do absolutely nothing is just future-proofing. If GW didn't add the demon thing in at the beginning it won't work right when demons finally show up. Or something.

REMOVED If they didn't wanted to add demons, they would have skipped the rule and gave GK points cut. Even if they added them later, they could have simply added the rule to daemons and called it a day. Elementary logic dictates that if GK have that rule the daemons A ) can't be far behind and B ) can't be rare for it to make any sense...

Hmm... the Nurgle flies get progressively bigger. A big swarm, a smaller swarm, a small swarm of bigger ones, then just one big fly. Plus 4 worm things, 4 grub things, 3 little 'uns, three regular sized guys, and 4 big 'uns.

Nice spread.

Though the real gems are the RT and her crew. I'm sure RPG players can find tons of uses for those...
