I love the new models, specifically the ravager and the raider. They really accentuate the pirate/raider theme of the dark eldars. I'm thinking of getting them myself after my tau army (and by the time i finish this one the new dex will probably be out so maybe after that to XD). The only thing that bugs me is the sort of transvestite look of some of the witches. I can't stop imagining just putting all those raiders on the field. It'd look sick. What are your thoughts?

The only thing I don't love about the entire new range is the sails Somthing about them just doesn't quite look right.
Other than that I think everything is beautiful (appart from a few of the hellion arms, but you don't have to use them).
Really looking forward to my pre-orders to arrive

Yes I love it. Justice finally done model range wise after so long being left behind. My fleet of raiders shall strike fear in the hearts of my enemies .

Hell yes I do. GW has completely restored a alien race that nobody cared about and was rapidly becoming antiquated. I love the new models....all of them, they have given the DE a much needed revision to the initial launch more than 10 years ago....5 days till their released!

It's quite excellent except for one thing: No more claw agonisers :( Chaos style lightning claws and eversor neuro-gauntlets are pretty much the coolest weapons. All we got are whips now, I do hope they have the same fluff, I mean the bit about directly screwing with the nervous system.

Why does someone named daemon praise dark eldar? LOL. You should be eating them, not admiring their looks

Nah, I really don't like them at all. JK. I love them too.

The raider is amazing. I plan on getting a couple.

If there was someway of making an all jet bike army, I'd go broke making it happen. But my pocket book is very thankful that there is not.

That, and I really don't need a 6th army.

The new miniatures are beautiful. Inspired designs, expertly sculpted. I'm gonna buy loads of them.

I really like one model in particular

The one on the left. I will probably buy a box just to get some of the amazing models.

I wish they would look a bit more different from CW eldar, like the ones in the previous codex cover.

Somehow I feel GW didnt want to risk too much with the new aesthetic and made the safe bet. But anyway they look great.

The vehicles are nice, but the infantry models went from ugly to... ugly. The only difference is that the models are new. Once the novelty runs out, people will start complaining again...

^ ihave somewhat of the same feeling. Some of the infantry models aren't too appealing.

The only unit I've had hangups with is some of the masculine looking wyches. Tempted to convert up dark elf ones with the new pistols if the metal converting isn't too hard. I think the improvement to Kabal warriors is huge though. Though I understand it might not be to everyone's taste.

Personally, i dont like the aesthetic of either of the eldar factions. love the DE fluff though. but im already collecting two armies at once so itll be a while before i start anything new, otherwise i would probably do DE because the fluff is great

Anyone know about this harlequin addition to the dark eldar? It was on a pretty recent thread that gathered all the rumoured rules. I'd love to run dark eldar with harlies.

The models look nasty and mean, which is their purpose, but they are very well sculpted (better than most of 40k range).

You can´t say they´re as ugly as the old ones unless youre an eldar hater.

I mean, c´mon.

I really like them. I wont be starting a DE army, but eventually I could be temped to pick up a couple of the figs just to paint and display.

I am honestly not trolling, but which one is which? I prefer the one on the left but I'm presuming the one on the right is the new one?

Then again, from what I saw I don't know what was wrong with the old kits..

Ah bothered to use google and I see the one on the left was not only the better one but also the new one... phew.

I think anyone who doesn't like the new dark eldar, just personally dislikes the aesthetic. The miniature quality is superb and the details are so much sharper with a much better sense of proportions. Given the size, scale, and manufacturing method GW would be very hard pressed to do better.

+1

There are 1 or two bits (some of the heads for example) that I dont think are great, but you dont have to use them. The models themselves are beautifully done, but if you dont like them it's more a matter of disliking the army's style and aesthetic rather than the models themselves.

I think the male models look great.

The "females" look like they're using Catachan Jungle Fighter arms. I'll pass.
