I know I haven't contributed much but its because I'm still not sold on any hard evidence on who to vote for. Just not sure whether or not to call TheVadam's bluff and vote for him.

Well, I've been away for the weekend, and things seem to be flattening out again. It seems like we currently have no choice but to vote for thervadam, unless everyone vote switches really quickly. I'm beginning to think this may well be a ploy by the scum team to force us into lynching. Still, time will tell if we've got it right or not, and we'll have more evidence tommorrow (hopefully)

Force into lynching? That sounds pretty scummy to me. Would you prefer that we do nothing? That is still a very real possibility for today and one that the scum will no doubt delight in.

Yes force into lynching. If we reach the middle of the day (as today) without many votes on anyone, then the Scum team can switch their votes to one person near the end of the day, thus forcing us to lynch them for fear of a no lynch. I'm not saying thats what happened, just that it could be a possibility.

It is true that scum could take control of the lynch that way, but I'd think it'd look pretty obvious. All the same , that is one reason why I am not jumping off TherVadam's bandwagon for Gathering Storm (or Paul Atreides for that matter) unless there is some kind of consensus about it. Besides, martyr votes reek of scumhood.

Town needs as many Townies to survive each turn as possible. It is totally against the interests of Town to lynch its own and is only acceptable when the alternative is lynching no one. At this stage in the game, assuming there are no Masons, every Townie can be sure of only one thing: despite whatever anyone else is, that they themselves are Town. So why would a Townie vote for himself? To prove to everyone else that he is in fact a Townie? Actually, it is far more in the interests of Scum to want to appear this way. Also, martyr votes are less dangerous for Scum. They can count on their fellow Scum jumping off of their bandwagon at one point or another and saving them. Finally, because martyr votes contribute to disadvantaging Town, a Townie playing martyr is a liability. This gets back to my analysis of lynching the weakest link since we have no real leads on who is Scum. So, either you are Scum or you are a Townie voting in an anti-Town way. Either way, I don't mind voting for you at the moment.

I'm going to go with my gut, and not vote for TherVadam. The last time I ignored my hunch, I ended up contributing to the death of two wolves.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Ummmm..... What's a mason? Also, if you don't want me to vote, I won't (and I'd rather not exit the game), but for instance, in dayphase 1, everyone always talks about how any lynch at all is better than a no-lynch. Unfortunately, in my timezone, I will not be able to contribute to any lynch other than my own, so I can only kill myself :(.

Since TheVadam is so keen on being lynched, we have less than 4 minutes left and I think Vadam may actually be Scum.

Vote: TheVadam

If my last vote leads to the death of a Townie then by all means feel free to call me scum on day 3.

I think I may regret this...

======================================================================================
Four hours.

It had taken them four hours, but they were finally in position. The flank of the Thousand Sons was now exposed to them and the Space Wolves began to howl in joyous preparedness for the coming slaughter. Axes were gripped tightly and bolt pistols were checked to ensure the firing mechanisms were primed and the chambers clear of any detritus from the lethal advance through the muddy fens behind them.

All of this was to prepare them for the coming of the glorious charge into their enemy and the honorable clash of metal upon ceramite, blade to blade, the flashing of steel that would end this phase of the battle. But then, even as they made ready the unexpected happened.

The Thousand Sons fell back from their positions in cowardly disarray.

“Arwoooo!!!” The sight of their prey fleeing before them filled the Blood Claws and Grey Hunters with an eager fire, like predators watching hapless herds flee before them.

Springing from their positions the Wolves charged, blades waving over their heads as they prepared to slaughter the cowardly Sons of Magnus, it did not concern the Wolves that the traitors would fall with wounds upon their backs – such was the fate of cowards.

As they burst through the abandoned defensive line the first sign of danger was the sudden tremble in the ground. Then, with a dull krump the earth exploded as the land mines began to trigger. In moments the unstoppable assault ahd become a swirling morass of men as they struggled to heed their pack leader’s calls and restore order. More explosions ripped through them as the Thousand Sons emerged from their concealment – only a small detachment had fallen back, to add credence to their “retreat” and the bulk of the forces had lain in wait to spring the ambush.

The Wolves died valiantly.
But they did die.
The Thousand Sons quickly redeployed.
The line would hold.

TherVadam – a Grey Hunter of the Space Wolves is dead.

Night 2 Begins.

The doors to the library were blasted inward by the packs of krak grenades that had been wired to them. Inside the Thousand Sons staggered backwards as the Wolves sprang amongst them. Leading the pack strode a mountain of a man, his crackling shield protecting his brother wolves as the thunderous warhammer in his other hand split open the armor of any Thousand Son who stood in his path, crushing them like rotten eggs.

Realizing such a foe was their primary threat the dark mystics focused their powers upon him, fell lightnings lashed out to engulf him. The Wolf Guard stood his ground, raising his shield against the actinic flare of the searing bolts. The finest technology of the Imperium battled against the unspeakable mysteries of the Thousand Sons. But it was apparent that his shield would not long withstand the assault.

With a roar the Wolf Guard sprang forward, a cry of loyalty to Russ and The Emperor on his lips as he sprang amongst the sorcerers and sold his life dearly in the fray.

A great warrior had fallen, and he would be well remembered as one of The Emperor’s finest.

Night 2 has ended.

Not yet. My guess is that there are still six or seven of us to two or three of them. And now we have some real info at last.

Notice that the scum took out the Wolf with the shielding power. A lucky kill or related to the lack of death on night one? I think the chances are very good that scum have an investigative power.

Not necessarily: as was suggested yesterday (might pay to find out who brought it up first), we did in fact have a shielder on our side. It's likely that the target for night one was shielded by Fifty. It would have been a good piece of luck, but still probable, for the scum if they also happened to investigate Fifty on night one and then took the opportunity to kill him last night.
