Some paint goes onto the slugga boyz unit

Right so i started painting the marine loota slugga boyz this morning and came across a slight problem in the fact i dont really know who they should have looted. personally i am a salamaders and raven guard fan from the marines (i actually have 2 full tactical squads from each just sitting on my shelf in their colours) but the green on green i was not too sure on and the black armour i think would just be a bit dull. so i tryed the green and it turned out okish but i would still need to do a few more coats and then i tryed out a purple hawklords like scheme on the other one i did. anyway today was just puting the base colours down mainly but i think the skin is pretty much finishedon these boyz.

so yea anyone have anyfeed back on how i should do the colours and what chapters i should maybe do? also i am not sure if i want to do the whole units boyz all with the same chapters armour or weather i should just have different chapters bits and bobs throughout the unit.

anyway thanks for looking

More Paint! But on trying to decide which SM colors to use try looking here for ideas. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/List_of_Space_Marine_Chapters . I find the multi color scheme are more fun to paint.

I would go with a quartered or halved scheme.

But when you do decide let me know. Gonna be fun to see what you do with them.

This could be fun. Novamarines. Blue and Bone quartered.

novamarines look cool, i checked and i see what you mean about quartered schemes. but i will research into it more.

at first glace though i like the look of Omega Marines and stormlords. but as i said i will look into it more.

so i took these before i went away and before i got the message from schank

and thats how they are today now. good thing is though that on my holiday i came across a squad of ork boyz in a toy shop for £15 so i snapped them up straight away. so be expecting some new boyz at some point.

(weird i had'nt had the kit for ork boyz before ever and considering i have 38+ of them weird )

anyway thanks for checking in

Well you know how orks breed via spores? If you keep a single sprue for long enough in just the right conditions...they'll breed.

Of course, it's very fething tricky to get just the right conditions, and asking how long 'long enough' is, well, that's a bit like asking how much dakka is enough. Otherwise we'd never have to give GW any teef again. But occasionally, you'll find they've spread. A bit like slower breeding tribbles, just greener. And bigger. Generally angrier too. Quite often armed as well. But not all that hairy. Probably not the best comparison

i hate the ammending to next post thing that the forums do

anyway i did some more work on the komado's

made the new one a pistol packing power house with a ammo pack so he wont have to leave the fight to reload his slugga.

the next one i am making will be a bomb expert and then i want a combat specialist (a combat specialist within orks society... pretty badass ork indeed) cant decide if i want the combat specialist to be the Nob or not but it makes sense in the statline.

Like the use of the old jungle trees on the kommandos. Squiggoth looking nice with some colour in his cheeks.

If you've not got a macro function on your camera try taking the individual shots from a little further away, then cropping the image. If that's a little small, maybe two boyz at a time.

ok so my landraider arrived (woo) and it was covered in really badly done orky-fi-ing. so i stripped all of that crap off and now i have loads of bits with it

ok so i was expecting it to be taller (i have never had a landraider model of this edition before) but w/e its not like i can't just build it up as i go

and these are the bits that came with it

im going to keep the kannon thing for now but i might change it later for somethig bigger and boomyer maybe.

anyway thanks for reading and looking at pictures

i checked it out, comment is there, are you going to continue your orks or are going to stick with marines or do both? just asking because your scheme for your orks was cool and if you were thinking about making them into a sizeable force i think they need a project blog.

so its that time of the month (day) again where i feel the need to update everyone

battle fortress progress and some thinking

just to prove it is detachable and moveable

still need to ruff up the gun pannels yet just so everyone knows and i also added some more armour here and there just because.

so i have been thinking and looking on the web for other battle fortresses to see what other people have done to make them and well i am feeling mine is a tad small now. i was looking at one today made from 3 landraiders a battle wagon and a baneblade with loads of other stuff all over it as well..... and i was just
so i have decided if anyone ever says anything about my battle fortress being small i shall explain that my orks use it more as a wepons platform and therefor dont need it to be big enough for anything more then carrying and moving the gunz (and of course dakaring the gunz )

so yea anyway comments are always great and advice and oppinions are also good

thanks for dropping in

oh and p.s i was just in the gallery and there is a really awesome stompa that is all upsidedown and stuff..... check it out if you have the time

peace

Nah, not convinced that's detachable, reckon that's all done with mirrors and stuff innit?

There's just one flaw I can pick in your reasoning on the size issue. If it only has to be big enough for the dakka, and we all no there's never enough dakka, surely that would mean there's never enough space

And that sounds like CK's stompa.
