We’re extremely sorry to advise that that we have had an unanticipated production problem, beyond our control, with the Ultramarines Collector’s Set, which means that we have not been able to start shipping today, November 29th 2010, as we had intended. We are working around the clock with our third party suppliers to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and hope to be able to have information about a revised ship date tomorrow.

If you’ve already ordered your copy, you’ll shortly receive an email from the distributors informing you of this situation.

We at Codex Pictures would like to say how disappointed we are that we’re not going to be able to get the movie to you at the time we had planned and we fully recognise you will be too. We can only apologise for this unfortunate delay and reassure you that we are doing our very best to sort out the issue and get your order to you as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your support.

Codex Pictures

The e-mail in question:

Dear xxxxxxxx

RE: Order 500000029

Unfortunately, due to a production issue outside of our control, we are not able to start shipping your order for the ULTRAMARINES DVD Collector's Set today, November 29th as planned. We are working around the clock with our third party suppliers to resolve the issue as soon as possible and hope to be able to give you details of a new ship date tomorrow.

We at Codex Pictures know you will be very disappointed not to receive your DVD as soon as anticipated and are equally distressed ourselves that this has happened.

Please accept our sincere apologies and rest assured we are doing everything we can to resolve the issue and get your order to you quickly.

Words cannot describe how disappointed I am. Did they really have to wait until such a late moment to inform their customers of this? I could be wrong, but I can't escape feeling like this information could have been relayed days - if not weeks - ago.

Also got one of these. :/

There will be hard times, my hearties. I'm still happy that (1) there is such a movie, (2) it's on it's way to my house eventually, and (3) people who've seen it say it's a good start.

I don't believe that makes my surprise unwarranted in any way. To be honest, even Friday is a bit of late notice in my opinion.

I just got this email. I hulked out and tore my cat in half and threw one half at my roommate and the other half at my dog.
Then i opened a beer and came to dakka.

After not seeing any email concerning the movie shipping at like noon today I figured this was coming.

It still made me instantaneously sadface when I saw it.

I got the email around the same time as nearly everyone else apparently. My son and I were looking forward to watching this movie together. I hope they get their act together quickly on this. Since it's the first thing many of their customers have likely ever bought from them this situation is not making a great first impression.

I’m getting my copy as a Christmas present (only way my wife would buy into it) So as long as it's in my grubby little hands by then I won't freak.
We did have however, another copy (unknown to my wife) on it's way and were renting a 73" screen and surround sound set up at our gamming club house... that's probably not going to happen....

Just checked with wife, we got the email too.... she'd pissed (go figure) more then me..... She's emailing them back demanding some sort of compensation... see????
That's why I don't mess with my wife......

Same email message here, ran it in Discussions (in the first thread, ahem).

I'd be fine with that if they didn't have my money already.

Funny thing is, wasn’t some guy from Codex pictured interviewed by 40K radio last Sunday or something to that effect?
I would think it would out of common decency to maybe mention their having “problems” during the interview? Or even something like “we’re still shooting for our November 29th ship date but have come across a few hurtles”… you know, warm us up a bit… the guy had to know.

I am pissed! I placed my order 44 days ago and I was charged 42 days ago and they didn't even bother to let me know that there could be issues? What makes me even angrier is that I am going home for the holidays on the 10th of December so I might not even get to see the movie this year if they don't ship it soon.

Meh, the email says the issue was out of their control. Keeping in mind this company wont exist any longer if the movie fails I am sure, like they said, they are doing everything they can. They know it doesn't look good and I'm sure if it could have been avoided it would have been. As long as I get it eventually I'll be happy.

I'll agree with tekk_45 on this one, I'm sure none of them want to **** up this, as it will ruin them.
Saw the email this morning, :( but as long as it arrives at some point it'll be ok, after all, I'm an xbox gamer as well, so well used to stupid delays!!!

Chin up peeps, will make it seem much better when you finally receive it!!

And if that fails, go with the ripping a cat in half option!!

This is galling. I ordered on the 28th, and i'm pretty damn sure they knew on the 28th that they wouldn't be shipping the next day, yet took my order anyway.

Why didn't I give up on ordering when it was clear their shopping system was hopelessly buggy unless you were using IE? Why did I ignore all the signs?

I have yet to get an email from them.
