Lets say, hypothetically that the four Chaos Gods suddenly hated each other and had a massive brawl, who would come out on top?

I'm not talking all the Mortal armies, just the 4 big guys in Chaos God Land.

I'm going to go with Tzeentch, he'd use some awesome God Magic or something...

None of them. They're already engaged in all out warfare with another, with no winners.

They already hate each other.

They are also constantly fighting as it is.

The fluff repeatedly says that none of the 4 Chaos Gods are more powerful than another and that every time one appears to be growing more powerful the others work together (kind of) to bring it back down. They are in a constant state of war and equilibrium AFAIK.

If any of them were more powerful than the others, there'd be only one right now.

I don't think it's possible for one to win but if anything, I'd go with Tzeentch. He sounds like he was the most focused one but still wouldn't wish to be the only Chaos God left I guess. He enjoys the plotting. I'm sure Tzeentch is heavily into Eastenders.


As for their "power levels" - it's stated that Khorne is the strongest most of the time, then follows Tzeentch. After Tzeentch there comes Nurgle and lastly Slaanesh. However Nurgle's power is inconsistant - at times, when new plagues or other diseases are introduced and the mortals are greatly affected by them, his power rises and he can become stronger than the other Gods during this period.

Aye, there's that. And as it's already been said, as soon as one Chaos God becomes more powerful than the rest, they all team up and put him back down to size.

I recall one story where Tzeentch had grown powerful, so the other three ganged up on him, and lost his magic staff in the process?

In any case, I voted for Khorne cause I like the image of the big bloody god of war unravelling Tzeentch's plans with an axe to his face(s).

Its probably only panning out that way because Tzneetch planned it that way. It all is, even this thread is part of his grand plan.

No plan survives contact with the enemy. Even if that plan was conceived by a god.

Codex chaos demons clearly states that a win of any of them would screw chaos itself utterly and thus the material realm and the sentient beiings in it would win.

Can't wait to see the ruinous "powers" ruin themselves.

Hmm all of that sounds like a pretty big change to me.

I don't think the chaos gods really want a winner. For one to 'win' the elimination of a chaos aspect will cease to exist. After all, the more the merrier, chaos is chaos, and while they don't much care for each other they do tend to promote each others interests by promoting their own.

What they don't want, at all, is order

That's part of the Blue Scribes' background. It is also the creation of magic.

Tzeentch because he was the strongest at one point plus Tzeentch is the best.

Hmm, I view them all as pretty equal, And as much as I'd want to support Slaneesh I just don't see it winning. To focused on the "fun". Nor Khorne, to focused on the violence. Tzeentech I see screwing himself over some how when I plan goes wrong. I don't know, Nurgle just seems the most "level headed" of all of them (and that is saying something) but also the least driven to *want* to beat everyone else down. But if I had to bet 20 bucks, it would be on grandpappy.

This is basically what has been happening since they all came into being, they hate eachother above everything else. One will have the upper hand for a while and will then get owned by the other 3 and then they all go back to smashing their heads together again, the warp is a fun place
