I really don't feel that they deserve all those different Codices if that's what you're suggesting...
Nonetheless, I'd actually like to see LotD or CSM next, but other armies seriously need it more.

*Personally*?
I'd like to see a redone Chaos Space Marine book that focuses on the 9 Traitor Legions. The more recent Renegades really should be a WD addendum or sublist to Codex: Space Marines.
I think the current IG codex can do traitor IG just fine, between blob Platoons, vets, penal legion, ogryns, psyker battle squads, Straken (makes a great counts as CSM commander) and the huge numbers of tanks, it's easy to represent just about everything a Traitor IG or Lost and the Damned army would have.
Chaos Daemons were never really my thing and I honestly have never cared that much for them.
Chaos Xenos could be cool, but again, unless they are entirely new races, can probably be done as addendums to other books (e.g. WD article on Chaos Eldar or Chaos Tau).
Alternatively I wouldn't be heartbroken if they put it all into one giant megadex either

What if they pull an O&G and make a massive hardcover CHAOS book, and have it be like GK: csm, traitor ig, LaTD, daemons, etc being able to be one force. I'd get it.

Hmmm...Lots of choices on the list, perhaps more than are really needed.
I Honestly think that " Renegades" and Legions could easily be contained in one single CSM codex...I mean,it was done before...so it shouldn't be all that difficult to do again.
Traitor Guard, LaTD (they are different armies) and Cultist, could all go in a single codex as well..
And of course, since Daemons are now a seperate Army, they'd have they're Dex,but should have dedicated units available in a new Codex CSM as well...

Chaos Legions would be a gift from the 'bove. Sans that though, I would happily accept a bunch of traitor guard, but with some sort of 'twist' to make them work differently then the current Iguard 'dex.

Traitor Guard are guardsmen who've strayed from the Emperor. They're more or less like the CSM we have right now, Guards with elements of Daemon in them.
Lost and the Damned is where the mutants, zombies, beasts and other nastiness go. They're basically everything that doesnt fit into Traitor Guard, CSM or dedicated Daemons. Most people group Cultists and Traitor Guard into Lost and the Damned, because it's just easier that way since Lost and the Damned are largely just mutants and Chaos beasts, they rely on Traitor guard tanks for support and CSM leaders for command. Cultists, likewise, have little of their own stuff not borrowed from Traitor Guard, so it's just easier to add elements rather than trying to separate them like the Chaos Daemons.
Finally, Renegades are, to my knowledge, Renegade SM. These differ from Chaos Legion CSM in that they have less experience, but have much more modern tech due to a later defection. Chaos Legions also have unique organisation reflecting their primarchs, whereas Renegades more or less will still adhere to Codex astartes organisation, since that's all they had when they went rogue.

As MechaEmperor pointed out..LAtD and Traitor Guard are very different forces...an IG force can "go rouge" or turn against the Emperor and have no elements of the mutants/griblies that compose a LatD army...and of course... a LaTD army can be made up entirely of Mutants and other raving hordes with not a single Traitor Guard element to be found amongst them.
These two forces come together from time to time, sometimes joining permantly...but are by no means the "same thing."

I would like to see a well done Chaos Traitor marine codex of some type. With all of the HH fluff created out there a GW endorsed codex with thoughtful input would be a welcomed sight.
I would hope that they wouldn't do it like they did the loyalists. A vanilla codex offset by superior individual chapter codexes... that was really dumb.

LatD is the only one that should be done, IMO. CSM in all flavors could be covered in a single well-made codex. Traitor Guard work just fine as a standard IG force. Just do some modeling to make them look chaosy and use C:IG for rules. And, yes, I'm in favor of taking C:SM, C:BT, C:SW, C:GK, C:BA, and C: DA and folding them up into a single codex. Xenos armies have to live with all their forces in a single codex, so can everyone else. It means we'll get updates more often! edit: Yes, I know C: DA has a space where the rest don't. But, if you put a : and a D next to each other, it thinks you're making a smiley.

For some considerable time I strongly supported the idea of seperate "Legions" codices...but the more I think about it,the more I would prefer to see a reworked Codex CSM that simply covers Legion rules (with OUT the need to take some sort of dippy special character to play a Legion based army.) as well as " Spikey angry vanilla " marines or Renegades...the ground work already exist in 3.5...a biit of tweaking and your set.

The difference between any one of the Chaos Legions (especially the God-specific) and the Black Legion is significantly greater than the difference between any of the SM variants and the Ultramarines.

yeah maybe too choice on the poll but didnt want to make anyone feel left out. I also have a large Iron Warrior army so a legion book for them would be great. But i think what chaos should have is one big codex with all the options in one list. So you could have a D.P leading a horde of mutants, chaos marines terminators and deamons with landraiders in tow. They could call it 'codex chaos'. And i would like to see more about xenos who have fell to chaos aswell.

While I agree that the Legions are ( IMO more interesting)...there's no reason to "invalidate" anyone's army...and Chaos (fluff wise) is broad enough to encompass both ancient Legions and those who have more recently turned.
It's a matter of GW writing a well thought out codex so that all of these elements (and more) can be fielded in a fun, flavorful and even competitive (if one wishes to) manner...
My biggest concern is that GW will go for "streamlined and easy"...IE.."Taking Typhus/Karn...etc...opens up these "Legion traits" for x army"...which will cause me to pound my head against a wall.

That was not my intention, I simply think the current codex is poorly written. (In both rule and fluff departments)
Legion trait seems like the most likely route though following the trend set by recent books, I'd be okay with it personally. Given it is unlikely we'd get more than one book like SM chapters...

They should do something like the 2nd edition Chaos Codex. All inclusive.
The main list covered Chaos Space Marines, because lets face it, that's the more popular army, It covered the four marks of chaos (Undivided wasn't a mark then. To cover this Abbadon was the only character that had all four chaos god marks). Plague Marines, Thousand Sons, Noise Marines and Berzerkers were all covered. The only thing that was missing was Marks for Chaos Terminators which they did address in a WD article.
There were also seperate army lists for Chaos Deamon armies and an embyonic Lost and the Dammed with Cultist, Beastmen and Chaos Warriors (similar to the Fantasy Warriors of the time hard as nails).
The three army lists could be combined to create some good fluffy armies as well.
If they bring back this style of codex but have some of the new units as well and it would go some where near to a good codex.
A few of the codexes were like this. From the Eldar codex you could field Craftworld, Halequin, Exodite and Pirates (not Dark Eldar).
The Nids also had a list for Genestealer Cult armies (a sad loss in my opinion .
