I'll mull it over. They were given to me in good will so I'm not sure whether or not I could sell them. I think I may be able to find a fifth one though (I know some people, so I'll ask around) and if I can get one I'll be sure to let you know.

well I lied, that wasn't the last mini before I go away - this one is, cos I got bored of packing and tv doesn't occupy my hands

He is probably worth revisiting and adding highlights and free-hand to. But for now I am very happy and he really pops and zings when I put him with the other marines

The challenge of being an artist is that one has to really push hard to exploit ones' self (in a good way), these days it's tricky because of the internet, but the best thing to do is keep on going, don't give up.

Anyway - best of luck with the wheel-moving and be careful in Wales!

can you believe it, they don't have wi-fi on trains! Or at least not the ones I was on. Well I'm in wales at my mums place with all the family and we go to look at the wheel tomorrow. Thankyou all for your kind comments and feedback. Hopefully I can manage to churn out pottery and keep up my mini painting at the same time. And maybe do the odd crosover piece - If anyone wants any life-size busts of monsters let me know! I am missing my paints and minis already. how did I ever go for 10 years without them?

Hah, we get wi-fi on our buses round here Glad you arrived safely, but disappointed you didn't pack a couple of minis to paint, you'd probably knock a couple out over breakfast or something Hope it goes well tomorrow

Well I don't want to get paint all over my mums kitchen - I try not to make a big deal out of mini painting with my parents - I think they always thought I was a bit odd painting model soldiers when I could be doing "proper" art that people might pay money for. But thats probably what I like about minis - there is no pressure.

Don't be jealous of my swift painting technique monkeytroll - I know your probably turning out some brilliant conversion piece while you eat your cocoa-pops. With you modelling skill and my fast paint jobs we could rule the world!! (bits of it anyway)

Ahh, the old ' no, I don't play with toy soldiers any more mum' routine eh?

Mine still think I'm a bit odd - but then again, I don't think that has anything to do with toy soldiers

I'm not jealous, no, not me, no way. As it happens I've just been chatting with a very nice red chap with horns, says he'll have me painting faster than anyone by this time tomorrow, only wants the sole from my shoe or something in return..

Just let me know which bits we'll take control of and I'll meet you there (I do hope it's somewhere warmer than here) Once I've finished my brekkie that is

so I've got back from wales with wheel in tow. after a whole days drive I certainly wont paint anything but when I opened my mail I just couldn't resist doing a quick sketch conversion job on these lovely blood bowl beastmen. They arn't stuck together so comments are welcome. Someone somewhere did a friggin cool slaneesh paint job on these but I'm afraid I will have to strip them as they are chipped and I want to do my own thing - but I may take inspiration from it.

Cool beasties! I like these guys a lot, very creepy - but do strip them - you can do much better coloration.

I have one more but he has a missing arm so will require a bit more work - I have an arm lined up. The paint job is old schooland awsome but I think I can do something a bit more new and detailed. Pictures of my new studio tommorow - and if I do anything fantasy inspired I might post it here as it is sort of relevant

the colours on those beastmen are very nice, " I look at colourfull things now, no more monotone for me" they look like they belong to your pack already. and do post our work in here, if its not that relevant post it on imageshack and then in here , so you dont plug up your gallery. well thats what i try to do anyhow , although its more of a hassle. As for commisions ... Life Size John Blanche Please , with spikey biker helmet and harley , with bad moons in his beard,

EDIT they are free right....!

Hi Weety - yes defo strip them.

I guess the question of what to arm them with is whether you are planning to play them as Imperial or Choas. If you have some GS you could easily block out that tiny symbol on the hood.

I think in the fluff Beastmen were slightly less intelligent than ogryns....and they were produced in these combos:

Leader of the Pack: Chainsword Plasma Pistol
Bray: Mace and Big Fudge Off Knife
Gaxt: Lasgun

Wait....I have an idea.

Like that. Beastmen want to say sorry to the emperor for being dirty, smelly and ugly. Well I'm afraid my beastmen are proud of being filth and will crush the emperors followers beneath their hooves. Mainly because the imperial army is pretty big already but my chaos warband is still tiny.

I did actually have another idea - I have some really old school witch elf assassins (some kinda dark elf thing with lots of curvy swords, punch daggers and mini cross-bows) who could be converted into dark elf renengades to swell the ranks of my warband. But I am loath to convert such venerable minis.

thankyou asherian command - is he in your gallery? I will have a look. I have two of them already - dont know what to do with the other one

Thanks guys. I will certainly try and keep those bright colors when I repaint them.

I really wish I could have painted something tonight but I had to go and support some friends who have formed a band - they were playing down at the local booze pit. Good times were had by all!!

The studio is filthy as hell at the mo so no pictures. I am right pee'd off as I'm gona pay rent and I was hoping it would be sorted out - but thats what happens when you conduct business deals with friends and in her defense she was ill. Also had to unscrew the potters wheel to get it through the door so difficult day.

Well yep. Awsome end to a long hard 2days really - what with driving for 9 hours the day before with a gale blowing - I was worried that the trailer full of ceramics equipment would blow away.
But I feel like I'm still to young to sink back into an easy life and accept the place society has granted me (shop worker). After all I have a degree(3rd class) in crafts! I would feel like a big tool if I didn't at least try.
