Their QC is pretty bad, even for their newer Warzone stuff. I bought 2 starter boxes at Salute, including the brand new Imperial box, and every single model was miscast in some way. Nothing significant enough to junk the whole model but it required a lot of time with a modelling knife. Mould slippage seems to be their main issue and their mould lines are on some unfortunately prominent surfaces (I also had a nasty airbubble in the superstructure of my Greyhound).

Its possible that these were just teething troubles but......

Ruglud - very good to read that account though, and hopefully the finished production version will have a good to high level of sculpt detail present.

Man.. I am so excited about this release, every other modelling/painting project I have will go on hold the moment this package turns up at my door!

It should have closed on the 31st of May not sure if they locked it then or if it's still open for anyone who didn't lock in in time but most likely it's to late now.

I had backed out too, but I contacted Prodos shortly after the project on KS and they let me use paypal to buy a pledge. Maybe try contacting them?

Yes, like every KS there will also be some appearing on ebay (and even on Dakka), although perhaps less with this one than some!

So the AvP prototype Board Game is still in transit, we are waiting for our copy and also waiting for the copy to be sent to 20th Century Fox. Once it is approved, we can start moving from there.

We have begun processing your pledges and we have discovered a number of addresses have been entered wrong, last time we checked, Blackburn, Lancashire was not in Afghanistan...

Please check your addresses as we will struggle to ship them otherwise! Equally, names! Check your names! We have had an instance where one pledger has suggested that a particular fruit is their full name. This might be correct, but we just want to double check.

Here is how you go about checking and altering your Pledger details:

1. Login back to your PM: Please follow the link to log in to your PM : http://calc.prodos.co.uk/panel#login

your Login must be in LOWER-CASES,

your password is CASE SENSITIVE

2. Click on "Cog" (right hand side screen corner)

3. Go to "Edit your Profile"

4. Update your address , and click on "Save" button, log out.

Has anyone got a copy of this 'Aliens Colonial Marines technical manual' book, and comment whether it is any good?

Nothing to do with the video game, think it was first published back in the 90's and I think re-published recently (perhaps following Prometheus or the CM video game).

I think it's a great book personally. I go NUTS for these kinds of books though so I might not be the most unbiased person to ask

I got one for xmas, and its a good read, a bit dated though. the illustrations and flavour text is competent, but not of the FW calibre.

It is extremely good quality. I doubt you'll find many color schemes, but you'll definitely find inspiration. Tis is one of the best "technical manual" tie-ins I've ever read.

Hi all,
News of the week: the board game content is now being reviewed for approval! Once it is all cleared, with legal markings and corrections put into place, we will give the green light to the printing company. We have to manufacture just over 2150 board games, which should take around 2-3 weeks.

Free Wargaming rules are currently in process with the graphics company and we will share them with glee once are they are ready.

Well, excited to know what we think? Well, fething fantastic, that's what!

Wish I had put a couple of those sentry guns in my order now actually, remember thinking at the time I would just cut some old autocannons or something to use, but the finished articles actually look quite cool.

Guessing that's the daddy predator as well? Again, looks very cool, looking forward to seeing some more close-ups.

There are other options for sentry guns.

He's not a normal predator .. he is the Alpha that was introduced with the movie Predators (and a fair bit bigger than the standard Arnie-fighting version!)

Would make a good representation of the colony for LV-426, can imagine re-creating some of the scenes with the marines trying to escape through the tunnels being chased by aliens!

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know where you can find interior floor plans for Hadley's Hope? With the models coming semi soon I wanted to get building on the colony but can't seem to find a full layout.

having those 'colony' tiles could help make this easier on me.

EDIT - as another thought, you could try playing the Aliens Vs. Predator (later console one) or Colonial Marines video games? I believe I read somewhere that some of the designs were based on parts of the movie - might be useful for some ideas.

Hi - That's my Kickstarter

I was planning on doing an AVP specific offering. As a heavy backer to this one myself and huge fan of those franchises how could I not? But I haven't been able to get any information on the map components...from one of the older updates they posted some tiles were red and some weren't - not sure if that is something that needs to be designed for or not, I think *think* that all the straight corridors are three squares long but that's just a guess on my part.

If anyone has any info they can share I can start putting something together around this. If there is enough interest (and info) I could redesign some of my work to share the same exact sizes (each square in my sets is 1.6" X 1.6" - not sure if that is too big for AVP but it would give some of the larger minis some breathing room).

I've seen that thread, sadly does not show room by room layout unless the broken link pic is the one you mean @Basement.

I've also played CM and playing it again as well as movies, but can't find a full interior layout so I know what rooms go where. but def thinking of building entire colony for use in AVP

any other pics showing the interior room layout at all you guys know of as I can only find bits and pieces.
