Subject: What are my options for 25mm WW1 infantry?

I'm building an RPG for my group of friends to play this summer. It's WW1 set to steam-punk, which gives me some leniency on historical accuracy (it just has to look the part). I've done some looking around, but the Dakka collective will know far more than I. EDIT: I should mention I'm interested in British, German, and possibly French infantry. Oh hell, while I'm at it, does anyone know where I can get Mark IVs of the same scale? I didn't plan on using tanks, but if I could get my hands on one I might reconsider.

You might want to post this in the historicals forum, it might get more hits.
One option is Old Glory. Its on their website under 25mm, modern, no mans land ww1. Reportedly the figs look much better in person than the photos. Plus, if you are a member of the Old Glory Army, its 40 percent off.
I'd also recommend checking out TMP (the miniatures page). Lots of good stuff re: historical minis.

Renegade Miniatures does WWI, though I'm not sure if they're 25mm or 28mm.

In order of replies... It was a toss-up between this and Historical, but I figured Discussions got more traffic and might know a quirky model range that would really work the steam-punk angle. Old Glory's infantry don't too bad anyway, but what really has me drooling is that Mark IV they make.
This is set in the Western Front, yes.
Renegade Miniatures is currently my top choice. They are 28, although it doesn't matter so long as they are all the same scale. I have to hand-craft the walkers, so slightly smaller infantry means slightly smaller walkers. Then again, I can use Warhammer Fantasy Free Company as civilians/militia in 28mm.

Off the top of my head...
Renegade, Great War, Copplestone, Brigade, Wargames Foundry, Eureka, Old Glory, Pulp, Musketeer....
If you check out the Lead Adventure forum - http://www.lead-adventure.de/ - they have a WWI section, and no doubt have links to other ranges, plus comparison pictures and reviews. They also have stuff on Pulp and Steam Punk, so there may well be stuff that equates to what you are planning.

If you're not averse to 28mm, Death Korps of Krieg might actually be something? Not sure about the weapons, but the rest definitively looks WW1, and the gas masks + trenchcoats do give them a certain steampunk look.

Kreig wouldnt work, they have features that remind you of WW1 but there nothing like any of the armies.

I beleaive artizan studios also sell a range and Aly Morrison and another GW sculptor sell there own range of ww1 models but I cant remember the name of the company but a google search should provide the answers. Automatically Appended Next Post: Forgot to say there aLL 28MM, but there is no difference in all the game mechanics and I always find 25mm models look out of propotion and often poorly sculpted.

I have some pictures of the Renegade stuff in my gallery should you wish to see a size comparison against GW stuff - they are ever so slightly smaller I think.

Thanks guys. Yeah, that tears it. Renegade looks fine next to GW minis, and frankly are the best deal I've seen so far. In fact they're so good I question their legitimacy. Can I really get 24 minis for 15 pounds?

I ordered a small test bunch from them a couple of weeks ago - got an infantry squad with gas masks and an artillery piece that I have visions of using as a counts as autocannon. Stuff arrived pretty quickly - within 2 weeks.

Indeed you can - and they have just had a price rise because of the rise in metal prices.
The figures are very good, a friend has opposing forces of Carthagian and Romans.
