Indeed, I have changed my mind on the starter because of it- the models are very detailed and definitely not what I expected after AOBR.

These look fantastic, I'm hoping to be able to turn the cultists into IG without having to shave every inch to take icons and spikes off. Failing that I'll just have to start a chaos force too.

I'll be buying the set and keeping it all. And will probably start a force for both factions as the models are superb. The only drawback is that I already have so much to paint!

Should be easy enough to turn the cultists into savlar chem dogs

It's basically the level of Space Hulk detail.

I love that CSM now look as baroque and grim as their artwork does. That's something incredible.

The cultist gives me mixed feelings... It's a perfect Vraks styled traitor guardsman, but NOT a cultist - I imagined them having robes and masks as the old minis had... Still, I'll certainly use these, but most likely in my Savlar IG army, not Chaos

DA look a bit boring and over the top with wings. But I like the Librarian's pose.

Keep in mind we've only seen one of them. He is very "Vraks Militia", but for all we know their squad leaders are decked out in the full red robes/pointy had gear, or that's just the more disciplined rifle group, and the pistols/CCW group are raving lunatic 'proper' cultists.

The stuff looks really nice, can't wait to see the rest.

I hope it's just the picture, but the wings on the DA Captain helmet look really flat, almost like plasticard flat.

Someone needs to get pictures of the Hell Brute and Deathwing, stat!

I'm crossing my fingers the boxed set is not in the realm of a Space Hulk pricing....

I just bought my Infinity army... looks like I'm buying this too

Oh well, swap my Chaos for someone else's DA, buy a Dreadnought and maybe a Devastator squad and I can call my detachment of the Emperor's Angels good, give me a nice smaller army to play with and allies for my Guard and ladies.

We are building a new 40K INTRO TABLE!!! We are inviting everyone to come to the unveiling of the completed and ready to use table on Friday, August 24th at 7pm! The theme of the table is a secret but it will be very cool!

This set does indeed look like it might just be awesome. Only thing is, we'll probably see people starting Chaos armies all over the place - which is fine, of course, just that I'm gonna look like a bandwagon-jumper now. I've already started a mono-Khorne CSM/Daemons army over the last month or so!

Okay, call me crazy, but this kinda looks like a paper cut-out propped up by a regular Marine model with only the backpack visible.

I think the danger for me is either Aurelia and my tale of four two gamers will be back on the cards. Or worst case scenario is I do em both.

This box was always going to be a big issue, love both Dark Angels and CSM forces.

This might convince me to go from guard to chaos....

It definitely looks like these new CSM could be perfect for making a Khorne list without having to overly use the berzerker kit. The models that we have seen are looking very Chaos Knight-ish, it would be
awesome if that aesthetic extends down the line to the troops and would fit into the new CSM box rumour.

I'm very excited for this, although i'm more looking forward to the actual codex release, Word Bearers a go go!

You're not crazy, that's what it looks like to me too.

I made the comment earlier that the wings on the helm look flat. Upon more inspection, the whole mini looks flat except the backpack.

Those wings should have ridges on them at the least.

Maybe someone in the art department was having a bad day.....??

On a side note, Deathwing Terminators are no longer available for purchase on the GW website.

I think the wings look flat because it's a photo of a photo. Not reflecting on anything with the model itself.

regarding flat pics - to me it just looks like shine off a white dwarf page when the camera flashed to take the pic.

Extremelly pleased as I'v started a Chaos army this year. The Chosen are AWESOME.

There is definately something not right with the photo.... Only the backpack has any depth which wouldn't happen even if it was a photo of a photo...
