It really could just be a bad cut & paste of another photo they had.

Say.... they had a photo of it for Box Art, but then something happened/whatever, so they had to reuse that photo for White Dwarf but the background didn't fit so they Copy & Pasted it and just failed at the attempt.

I'm sure the mini itself is totally amazing and will make an excellent addition to my Blood Angels, with some work.

However, that picture is all sorts of goofy.

The only question I have is how much effort it is going to take to file off the DA iconography. I don't begrudge them the time in the sun (and it make reduce some of the random ultramarine bashing) but from a practical standpoint, it might be useless to me personally.

Does look very nice though.

Also saw the release list for hte next year - a big Ork wave with the long awaited Buggies and Koptas as well as plastic Meganobz/Flashgitz!! Eldar as well with a whole plethora of stuff..but my source said expect those nxt year.

So, I just got my 50 or so RT Era Chaos Marines out. They look nothing like Loyalists, they are weird, mean, and evil looking. These remind me of them so much.

Looks like I have about 10,000 points of Marnies to replace after looking at he beauty that is these thumbnails.

Magnificent, GW, well played. Now, just take my money......

If nothing else im gonna pick up 2 or 3 of these and start the Alpha Legion army ive been wanting to do for ages. Hell those chaos models are so good they may even tempt my brother back into collecting again. I think hes been kinda looking for an excuse, and this may just provide said excuse.

Now, to replace his backpack with a Sang. Guard jump pack and we will have achieved Maximum Wing™

[Edit] We need some pics of those DA Termies. My head is spinning thinking about what GW did with SH and what the DA ones would look like. However, I don't look forward to what they will cost on EBay. It might actually be cheaper to buy 2 Starter sets for the Terms than waiting for them to hit the secondary market. I don't play DA, but have always wanted a little 10 man Deathwing attachment. I'm thinking double FOC, Dante + Sangwing and Belial + Deathwing. 2+ for everyone!

I'm still sceptical regarding the rules but those models look incredibly nice to paint and play around win. I'll certainly be buying one box set.. not sure why i'd buy more. One is enough.. lmao...

Nah, for "Maximum Wing" he'd need a sang. guard jumppack with sculpted DA icon on the main booster, the ultramarine honor guard helmet faceplate with the wings (maybe sculpt a sword down the middle), and some kind of wing motif on the hilt of the power weapon. Haha!

I hope we get more leaks, I'm so pumped. I cannot imagine how cool the chaplain will look, and if the bikes are indeed posed dynamically- I may need a change of pants.

I like these chaos minis... It's a distinctly chaos aesthetic that isn't just spikes... Yes yes there are spikes but compositionally a lot of good going on there... actual detail. Chaos armor and more organic sorts of detail... They capture something of a RT/2nd ed feel for me. If the stand alone kits are as good I maybe buying more than I planned.

Only thing is, we'll probably see people starting Chaos armies all over the place - which is fine, of course, just that I'm gonna look like a bandwagon-jumper now. I've already started a mono-Khorne CSM/Daemons army over the last month or so!

Something just popped into my mind: one of those chaos models (the one with the claws) really looks to be wearing termi armor: look at the legs and shoulderpads.

But there are no terminators listed in the Starter Box content leaks.

Now we have some options to explain that:

-It's simply scavenged pieces of the best armor the Chosen could find and acts like regular power armor.

-Chosen can take terminator armor upgrades for points.

-Chosen may be able to take termi-armored sergeants, or behave like Wolf Guard and be placed in other units.

-That picture may not be from the starter but depict another model from the new upcoming model line.

In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.

In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos.

Yeah it could be that. OR it could just be the hell brute.

If its not the hell brute then the death wing have some explaining to do.
