Always liked how the game looked, but it costs a **** ton of money :( but I might play it anyway ^^
Exactly how much would it cost to start playing this? What would I need for a decent Dark Eldar army? :3

I know it costs a lot...but for the dark eldar (BTW im just throwing this out there i dont play dark eldar) 500 points is a good starter, 200 dollars should be sufficernt, including paint, minitures, green stuff , ect.

Welcome to Dakka!
If you want to play Dark Eldar you're in luck, their battleforce is really useful. A battleforce, 2 venoms and a HQ will make you a pretty good 500+ point army. As you're in the US, it might be worth looking at the warstore.com they offer all GW stuff at a considerable discount.

Just to put things in perspective: I used to be a hardcore MTG player before I picked up wargaming. If you think wargaming is expensive, well then you just missed the fact that a card used to cost $100. Each. Decks can go into the several hundreds of dollars by themselves and you can only use them for two years before they become illegal to use, that is if you want to play in a format with the most people (MTG players know what I'm talking about).
You made the smart decision.
