I'm primarily a Warmachine player currently and an old Warhammer/40k player from years ago who is just now getting back into building a 40K army.

Warmachine:
Cygnar: approx 250pts MkII
Menoth: 35pts MkII
Mercenary: 50pts MkII
Khador: 100pts MkII

For 40K I've recently come into a large selection of about 60 Mordian Iron Guard metal models and am building a force from that. I'm actively collecting and seeking to purchase new/old Mordian Iron Guard models from a variety of sources. As well, I'm working to convert models to a broader variety of weapons. The following is a link to my photobucket for my Mordian Iron Guard work.
http://photobucket.com/MordianIronGuard

I have pics of the Warmachine models up as well. I'll add the link in a later response to this post.

Thank you all for the Welcomes and the compliment on my Mordian Iron Guard. I've been working on them daily since then and I like the direction they are headed.

A friend mentioned I could create a project blog on here, yet I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Any suggestions would be awesome. I've uploaded the images to my gallery, so what next?

Hey,
To create a new Blog. You need to the Dakka P&M Blogs section and then click on the new topic button which is on the top leftish of the page.
You'll probably be asking how to post pics next, right?

Just click on your gallery Image. Under the title "Share This Image" you'll see a few URLs for that Image. Copy and paste the URL under Fourms:.

I hope this helps!

Thank you all for the welcome! Its great to be here officially. I appreciate the info on how to create a blog on here, I'll begin working on that soon. In the meantime I have to resort to the fastest method of uploading photos and that is photobucket, etc.

More work completed on the Mordian Iron Guard force, current estimates put it at around 1000 to 1500pts worth of models.

So many conversions to update the force.

Next step is to begin priming the models and then to paint up an example model to work from.

I'm still eyeing different vehicles to add to the force, but for now I'm going to have to settle for the four chimeras.

Huzzah, Mordians! They were my first IG army.

I'd like to suggest hosting your pictures here on Dakka, instead of PB, to avoid hitting the bandwidth cap.

Good luck on the IG army. Mordian guard models look great wish that you could get them from GW and not just Cadian models.

I've begun uploading my images here on Dakka as well and have been considering a P&M blog, yet I'm in the middle of a move to Houston, Texas so it will have to wait. Thanks for the advice!

You can still purchase Mordian Iron Guard through GW, they're in the Collectors section:
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat1490651&rootCatGameStyle=

You can get Valhallans, Tallarn, Steel Legion as well as some other out of print models. They don't really cost that much more than an equal size squad of plastic Cadians, though they are all metal and require a little more ingenuity and elbow grease to convert to current rule sets. The Mordians didn't have plasma weapons, so I've had to convert models to that as well as a heavy flamer, snipers, standard bearers and more. I'm working to have a lot of models converted up to current weapon and vehicles. I'm trying to do the Mordians up right. Take a look at my gallery and let me know if you have any suggestions or comments! They're always welcome.

beutiful and nice army you hve there... looked through your gallery and boy have you work ahead of ye!^^

mordians are really cool... for me the next best thing after praetorians...of course it is rather a simpe headswitch from GW but the peaked caps give them a more prussian feel to the models...

what will your paintscheme be? i seems to have overlooked your painted pics or are there any yet?

also i saw the comment of yours in your gallery for this pics...but thought a cool looker like that might need a bit of community attention to ascertain what minithis might be...:

Yes! It would have made acquiring them a lot easier, but I think would have lessened the uniqueness of the army.

Keith, Jeremy & Adam up at Aero Hobbies in Santa Monica have been awesome and supportive. I only wish that I was staying longer in California so I could show my appreciation of Aero
Hobbies by buying up more inventory.

The other day bebopdrums2424 donated some Mordian Iron Guard to my project and I don't think I could say Thank you to him enough. That dude is rad.

So far after scrounging around the internet, buying off of ebay and purchasing through Aero this is what I'll have when everything gets together.

82 Lasgun models
15 Flamer models
1 Heavy Flamer conversion
2 Sniper Conversion models
8 Meltagunners (2 conversions)
2 Plasma gunner conversions
12 Grenade Launcher models
1 Lasgun w/chainsword conversion
1 lasgun w/grenade & standard/flag conversion
1 lasgun w/standard/flag conversion
4 lasgun w/vox

11 Lascannon (with 22 crew models w/lasguns)
4 Heavy Bolter (with 8 crew models w/lasguns)
1 Auto cannon (with 2 crew w/lasguns)
4 Mortars (with 8 crew models w/lasguns)

6 Sergeants
6 Lieutenants/Officers

1 Commissar Yarick
1 Lord Commander Creed conversion

4 Chimera (beat up, but salvageable)
1 Leman Russ Demolisher kit
1 Sentinel kit
1 Baneblade Superheavy tank conversion/fully magnetized & primed

I'm looking for additional vehicle suggestions, I think I should have some more tanks, or a combination of fast attack and tanks. What do y'all think?

I know I've got a lot on my plate before my big move to Houston, Texas. For everyone that has donated, made suggestions and offered advice, I appreciate ya. Thank you all, you have
been awesome.

Thank you! I used to have Praetorians, but gave them away a few years ago along with all my GW armies/bits that had been sitting in storage for more than 10 years. I hadn't played in a long time and my friend had four kids wanting to play yet not enough money between them all to afford this game. It was an easy decision.

I was in the U.S. Army for a long time and I like the idea of attempting an Army Dress blue uniform color scheme, similar to the Cavalry colors. I've got one model in progress and can upload pics, but that will have to wait as this is my move day, in fact after this message I'll pretty much be taking the pc offline and boxing it up.

I've only seen that commissar model one other place and the guy who painted it up didn't know its origin either. I would appreciate the help!

Thanks all for the welcome!
